Erm...it happened two weeks ago. One of the tape traders will fetch you the show (which, by all accounts, was a GREAT show) if you're willing to purchase a copy, or you can just find a good file of it on your favorite P2P program.

I was literally EMBARRASSED to use Kurt in Shut Your Mouth. Now that Here Comes The Pain is looming near, I'm hard-pressed to find times where I WON'T use Kurt. Good job fixing this, Yukes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Monday: Co-host introduction - Mick Foley Introduced by the HIAC clips that has brought Foley onto a higher plateau of insanity, Kimmel asks about that night in particular. To Jimmy's disgust, Mick mentions the nose in his tooth, as well as the gaping hole beneath his lip (the reason he was "smiling"). Foley goes into the story about how he lost his ear in Munich, Germany against Vader. Kimmel is delighted at the afterstory of the incident, with Foley speaking in German to the nurse (which contradicts what he said in Have A Nice Day!). Foley then quickly delves into the story behind wanting to write Have A Nice Day! without a ghostwriter, then explains the plot of Tietam Brown. 1st guest - Tony Danza Talks about his new stand-up gigs, as well as his role in a Los Angeles play(?). Danza talks about his run-ins with Mick, with nothing of interest. Tony did seem like a big fan of Foley's work. 2nd guest - Steve Miller A quick plug for Steve's new CD. Mick relates his high-school experiences of getting warmed up for his field hockey games by listening to Miller. Steve relates a story about two lumbering 350+ lb. wrestlers, MAXX PAYNE and Dr. Squash, who came up to him for an opportunity to "break" into the music business. He brushed them off at first, then said "what the hell" and gave them a listen a few weeks later...he LOVED it. Miller joked about how "soft" Payne was, referring to an incident where an OLD LADY almost stabbed Payne to death with a CORNDOG STICK, which everyone in the entire studio got a kick out of. He then referenced a second story where Payne was injured in a match in Germany by "elevator tram wire disguised as ring ropes", which Foley quickly noted that that was the cause of his missing ear. 3rd guest - Burlesque dancer Catalina(?) Would be the highlight of the show, if Steve Miller didn't make fun of Maxx. She's literally NOT wearing a top (a breast-less bra, with tassles covering her nipples) with barely a hint of underwear. Sorry, I'm shallow, but HOT DAMN~! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll do Tuesday once I watch all of it.

Could you describe how Shelton got hurt? Thanks Marv.

That is why Hell in a Cell was designed. Since 1997, feuds that deserve that "no escape" build-up are given the HIAC gimmick. The original cage matches have no distinct purpose since the inception of HIAC, so they're used as "big matches" for television (Angle/Benoit, Angle/HHH, Edge/Angle, Edge/Y2J).

Uhh...mic skills matter? In a promotion when bookers are writing entire promos for wrestlers now?
-
Since I'm taping all five shows, I can't wait to see Austin and Foley together on Friday. Last night's show (Tuesday) was pretty much all-Kimmel and zero Foley.

Considering he's... --past a safe level of working stiffly. --as evidenced by MANY wrestlers, a "locker room cancer". --injury-prone. --has heat with approximately 30% of either of the WWE or TNA roster. --a prima-donna who only wants to be booked a certain way. --as much into his own press clippings as Bret Hart circa 1998. ...well, since I guess he's a past project of Russo, I understand WHY he showed up.

Well, only 3 editions of Smackdown have been released since No Mercy came out. ...Royal Rumble for the Dreamcast. ...Wrestlemania X-8 and now XIX for the Gamecube. ...RAW I and II for the X-Box. No Mercy, although limited by graphics, has the best gameplay the WWF/WWE EVER has featured.

That's probably why he did the commercial, because a family member of his had the disease. Umm, yeah... that's THE reason Kurt did the commercials. EDIT: Quoted below.... I'd assume that was the cause of his father's death at a young age.

The other six matches haven't been announced yet. There's a good chance it could be on there.

She was the sister that was suffering through a condition known as angina, which you may remember Kurt did a few commercial spots supporting research for.
-
from WWE.com - Angle's sister passes away Due to the untimely death of Kurt Angle’s sister, Kurt will not be competing at WWE live events this weekend and will be spending time with his family during these challenging times. WWE sends its thoughts and prayers out to Kurt and his family.

One of the storylines that was changed before the show at Monday's Raw concerned Bill Goldberg. He was actually booked to come out and destroy Test but Goldberg reportedly told the creative team that it made no sense to have him do so and said that he had to sell the beating that he took the night before at the PPV. So, the compromise was made that he would sell the beating a little bit and the Test match was scrapped.. I have to give credit to Goldberg for looking at the big picture on that one. The thinking in the locker room is that the company wanted to make Goldberg seem like a monster for his upcoming match with HHH so they booked him to not be affected at all by the hammer shots. When everyone on RAW is being booked in a one-dimensional manner, this complaint doesn't mean that much anymore.
