Currently, it's (in no particular order): 1. Billy Gunn. 2. Orlando Jordan. 3. Sylvain Grenier. 4. Kevin Nash. 5. Chuck Palumbo. ALL-TIME (IN order): 1. Rick Steiner. 2. Kevin Sullivan. 3. Billy Gunn. 4. Steve McMichael. 5. Konnan. I don't understand the A-Train hate, or at least why he's on most lists. Even if you have a bad opinion of him, I'm sure there's five workers that disinterest you more.

no extras? From another post of mine concerning this issue -
-
THE STOPWATCH? Oh god, please tell me this is true (gets the West Coast delay).
-
Oh c'mon - 22 points for Elam isn't out of the question! What's that...the two extra points he has already, and... seven field goals.
-
What had Smith accomplished in the game to that point? In a Yahoo league, I needed Elam and Smith to combine for 22 points for the win. Without looking at the score, am I in decent shape so far?

Did anyone catch the sneak preview on Saturday? If I had the time to spend three more hours in town, I'd have gone to see it.

TWICE. First ocurrance was September 14th, 1998. The cool visual of Goldberg rising up out of the Scorpion Deathlock brought back the memory of it. Second occurance was November 8th, 1999. The show featured a continuation of the World Heavyweight Title tournament, the rematch between Goldberg/Sting from the PPV 15 days earlier, and a four-way dance as a main event (Goldberg, Hall, Bret, Sid) to decide the United States Championship.
-
Additionally, Kelly teamed up with Shane McMahon in the early months of HEAT! - basically when it was a lead-in for Pacific Blue.
-
OK, yeah, I have a different definition of "God-Push"...I simply intended it to mean "the big push towards the top of the card", not the "shove him down our throats" push.
-
Good job Eagan. Keep bringing the content. On a side note, I had to send your DVDs this morning, since the Post Office screwed me over on Saturday. You should receive them before the end of the week (they're insured, too).

Yes, he was. Don't know where you're going with that one. You're thinking too hard about this - this is the world of professional wrestling, where wrestlers leap from the top without a move in mind, and instead eat a big foot to the face. BECAUSE'S A MCMAHON, DAMMIT. No, seriously, because they're trying their damndest to prove Shane's "part of the boys"....which he's not. They're going the wrestler route with him, "protecting" his character so that's he able to trot out there tonight and gloat that he had Kane in the palm in his hand. ...most likely because the announcers are trained to wet their pants whenever Shane attempts his Bump Of The Month.

A bit off-topic, but a few people corrected me a few days ago when I used this argument in defense of the Rock. People say that the story was an unfounded claim - can you help with any proof to refute/explain the reasoning behind the infamous "Bait and Switch"?
-
He doesn't need to, but considering he's departing again soon after XX - coupled with the fact they'll hotshot any feuds he has until then (much like his return this year), he'd still take the payoff and job to whoever he agrees to working with.
-
Summerslam 2003 comes out tomorrow too.

FUCK. THE. REDSKINS.

Austin got the God-Push loooonnnnggggg before HHH was even booked to become a serious MIDCARD threat. Considering that Austin's run gave EVERYONE better payoffs through exploding house show business and advertising opportunities, I'd doubt that workers were jealous of his push unless Austin lacked the skills to accomplish this in the first place. Rock was given the God-Push along with HHH, with the face-heel dynamic doing major business in 2000. Why would a HEEL HHH be interested in downing a FACE Jericho? Nevertheless, Rock's face pops trounced Jericho's quite easily, so there'd be no reason for HHH to be paranoid about Jericho upstaging either of them. HHH had reason to be jealous of ROCK, basically because he felt that the success of the 2000 year was based upon the shoulders of the heel (which he was wrong about, although historically it's the heel that's given the credit for drawing good business.) Again, examples?
-
I always thought that only a limited amount of seats could be sold at the WWE's internet presales. Hmm...
-
Jericho probably won't do it because it will end with him jobbing and he'll be wiser after the debacle that was the build-up to his '02 WM feud with HHH. Rock is a possibility and I can see him using it as a way to fuck over HHH and get back at him for the Booker T/Hurricane incident from earlier this year and demand that HHH job, which HHH will never agree to.... With the PPV payoff equivalent of a World Title match - especially for the "BIGGEST PAY-PER-VIEW EVER~!" - both men would agree to job to HHH enough times that night to cover an entire career.
-
The title goes through Kane, before getting back to HHH. I'd say the title changes hands at consecutive PPV's (Armageddon, Royal Rumble), so this allows Goldberg to enter the Rumble and do his thing. I don't see Orton, Goldberg OR Kane getting the Wrestlemania title shot right now. Neither of the heels look the part to draw a money match, while Goldberg has his money match somewhere else (Austin?). I'm looking at an outsider getting it - possibly Rock or Jericho.
-
HHH and Jericho were aimed at two different outcomes anyway, so this is a foolish statement. Jericho was destined to be a face based on his debut, but HHH was a heel through and through going into this period. Neither was jealous of the other's standing - both were ultimately successful during 1999-early 2000 in getting their characters over. And this is evidenced by...? Oh right, that conspiracy theory you thought up....I forgot, man. It won't happen again.
-
Yeah, maybe I should share your distorted opinion of the IC title match -
