If each can prove they're an in-ring asset past mid-2004, I'd love to put them at the top of the list.

  9. So different times need different threads? How many threads will RAW have, then?
  10. That wasn't an opinion. He was spouting off false stories, jaded opinions and bitter remarks as FACT.
  11. Again, how is this news?* *Not in the sarcastic sense, but in the literal sense. It's bad enough that the half-assed websites like 1Bob have already beaten newspieces like "Vince still hates WCW/ECW talent" into the ground, but they're inventing new stories to try and put a spin on it (while protecting their asses from any heat, since it's only hearsay anyway).
  12. I'm sure IGN is contracted to hold back information on a specific game. If they are given a "90% done" state of a game, the publishers or developers may have a clause enacted that will require magazines like OPM or sites like IGN to withold details until they're at liberty to discuss the subject (i.e. given a finished copy) Example: IGN.com reports that in their 70% state game, the story mode looks below-average. Customers are optimistic about buying said game. Sales drop because of this.

  14. From the nearest computer lab: My network connection is on the fritz again. I should have the results for this week up later tonight.
  15. "In other news, Vince McMahon is in talks with agents of Bret Hart to use him in a wrestling capacity for the Wrestlemania XX PPV. Absolutely nothing has been seriously discussed yet, and although Hart is unable to physically work a match ever again, if it does go down, you heard it here first! 1wrestling.com
  16. EDIT: Thanks, Bored, for NOT spoiling Brock's opponent.
  17. At the least, the roots of a wrestling angle involving a septic tank doesn't trace back to the WWE.
  18. A lot of old systems, but only my PS2 should figure in here... Freekstyle Grand Theft Auto III Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Hot Shots Golf III Madden 2002 Madden 2004 Medal of Honor: Frontline UFC Throwdown WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth I'll add Here Comes The Pain, Manhunt and True Crime before the end of November.
  19. I remember in an old WCW magazine, that they discussed Watts' institution of ten kayfabe rules (not the shoot ones Foley talked about in his book) in 1991, that curbed top-rope moves and other stuff. These are the few that I can recall: --automatic disqualification, if you came off the top rope in any fashion. --automatic disqualification, if you threw your opponent over the top rope. --the removal of the protective mats outside the ring (don't know if this was kayfabe, but Pillman and Zenk[?] both sustained injuries when they did a "top-rope to the outside" spot, forgetting about this rule)
  20. I'm sure the game has been "set in stone" since early September. The delays are there to press out more copies for those who didn't pre-order it, and for the TV/magazine advertisements to be a bit more polished (shooting a scene with wrestlers, using stock footage, etc.)
  21. *BUMP*. New prices.
  22. Young Lust.
  23. They better not do like Hogan's and already have him in the ring, we'd miss Bobby Heenan's greatest moment ever! Hogan's extra was clipped to the last 10-15 (?) minutes of the match. The first part was pretty meaningless to have included on a Hulk Hogan DVD (though I still would've loved to have seen it). The ENTIRE 1992 Rumble is based around Flair...THAT'S why it's going to rock seeing it in DVD quality.
  24. Hasn’t been given an opportunity in the WWE until last Monday, anyway. Booking him against MARK HENRY won’t help things. On the unemployment line. He has a hefty contract, which thankfully ends in March(?). If only a term called “WRITTEN CONTRACT” was never invented. Wouldn’t help Jericho at all. But at least he’s getting heat. You don’t release a guy who’s getting heat. If you’re going to say HE’S a waste of money, you’d have to release 15 wrestlers before him. A lot of wrestlers wouldn’t need the job from Austin, simply because their push would be squashed a few weeks later. What does that mean? Which really doesn’t matter, based on his condition. His humor goes over the head of most casual fans. Smackdown Many more I’d throw out before Train, even if I was going to release him. A JOBBER? TO WHO?!? Train still has years to go. DeMott has potential, but lacks the charisma to stay in the card. But sadly won’t be, due to his tenure. Yet he’s the best heel on either roster. Which is saying anything; his natural ability put him above 85% of the roster. He’s past mid-card. Doesn’t get the fans behind him to matter much anyway. “See Billy Gunn.” GREAT Cruiserweight. When you consider who was released in order to make room for him, you’d understand why he hasn’t been released. Not possible when he’s injured. That division can’t be put on one guy’s shoulders. You simply have to put a few rivals up against him, while building the next BIG CW face/heel (Helms, Noble, Spanky, London) If he improves with his in-ring work, he could be much more. Already capable of being such. Yet, could be SO much more. She is what she is, nothing more. Unable to hold a casual fan’s interest in the ring, which sadly sets him apart from a lot of underrated guys (Spanky, Helms, Noble, Hardy) Is STILL putting on decent-good matches, one of the few “NAMES” on the roster, draws a huge reaction EVERYTIME. Keep him around longer. Should be released, especially if you think keeping Nash around is a good idea.
  25. Running time - 10.5 hours. There goes my social life for the time being.
