I must have the league record for most tiebreak losses by now.

Unless Miami was willing to give him the trade exception, there was no reason to take the deal. In Phoenix, he has a reduced role, but one where he can come in, have Nash create five-six shots for him, then call it a game. If I'm already guaranteed the buyout from the Knicks, I'm certainly taking the team where I can do less and still look good for next year in free agency (if he returns). Maybe it's more a case of laziness than filling a big hole for the Heat.

I just caught this on Cold Pizza and decided to screen-grab it. You could hear a few guys laughing in the studio.

Cutting Jalen Rose was fine - don't make an even dumber move of trading his expiring contract to a team to get another contract. I don't think there was anyone on the market who was willing to part with real talent to get Rose's contract, even foreseeing action at the deadline in February. They don't need draft picks with all of the money they have invested in the team already. Clear cap and start all over with your centerpieces, whomever Isiah or Dolan considers them to be. Now, if they could explain why they traded for Rose in the first place...

I don't know the actual value of this, but Hawai'i being ranked in front of teams like Penn State, Miami and Florida State makes me giddy. I really hope Brennan isn't brainwashed into declaring this year, because he could make an ever bigger impact in college next season. A passer rating of 185, nearly 3,000 yards, 33 TDs compared to 5 INTS at a 74% completion percentage? That's a line that even pessismists of Hawai'i's offense can't ignore. EDIT: Correction, I shouldn't use the term brainwashed. He is 23. I just hope he returns for his senior season, but more power to him if he leaves.

You know, I didn't mind USC losing, I'm just angry at a potential Ohio State/Michigan re-match for the national championship. What if the first game ends up with a lopsided victory for one team? Unless USC just curbstomps the rest of their schedule, I don't see any other scenario that doesn't expose the BCS...again.

These are the purported rules for people who will be selling their PS3's via eBay: 1. I must have a Feedback of 50 or more. 2. My Feedback score must be 98% or above. 3. I may only list one system. I may list 1 PlayStation 3 and 1 Nintendo Wii with a photo of my pre-order receipt for each system. 4. I must accept PayPal as my only payment option. 5. I must include a photo of my receipt in the listing. 6. No Buy It Now will be allowed. 7. No one day listings will be allowed. The PayPal rule should help guys like me out. With the auctions out now, I could still pick up the premium bundle for $800+ and wait until the week of launch to re-sell or keep my system.

If you PM'd them, do you have a PM by me thanking you for your submission? (My PM to you would probably have your selected picks in "quote" form.) I will not post your selections until you have confirmed this one way or the other. I checked my sentbox and I never sent such a list this week. Again, with the flu, I missed work from Friday and Saturday and just completely forgot about most things on and off-line. Yeah, I had to use the EPs again.
-
Did I send you that PM last night? Oh shit, I thought it was Alf.
-
I thought I submitted picks earlier this week -- I've been battling the flu, and I must've been hallucinating last night when I assured myself I had placed them. My apologies.

For me, all three are interchangable. Rutgers' win today over Pittsburgh is no big feat at all, more just a road victory over a team with a powderpuff schedule (Virginia, Cincy, loss to Michigan State, Citadel, Toledo, 'Cuse and Central Florida). Boise's strongest victory is Hawai'i, which won't do much for them even with Hawai'i finishing in the top 25. And finally, Arkansas' win over Auburn would've been impressive if Auburn showed up that day. They beat themselves and Arkansas happened to be on the other side of the field. That was a joke of a game.

Is that quarterback from Georgia Tech (Ball?) always this paranoid? There were three consecutive plays where he threw as if he was being rushed, yet there was no one around him for five yards.
-
So I need either an Arizona win (probable) or GT/Clemson to reach 48 (highly unlikely).

When's the price drop? I'm thinking that the price of the Blu-Ray hardware might handcuff Sony from dropping the price at least until early 2008.

From Da Meltz: Can anyone confirm?

Hey Nick, you're not facing me. (sorry, my PM panel isn't working at the moment).

If it makes you feel any better, I had a top seven on Sunday night that went Livingston-Gay-Perkins-Tyrus-Jefferson-Barbosa and finally Rondo.

Team Fökai selects Rajon Rondo, Point Guard.

Man, you're all stating fact as if Steve-O wasn't prepped on what to do. Federline cut a damn promo. You don't think they went over what to do with Pontius and Steve-O?. Most likely, Steve-O was fucked up (as usual) or legitimately knocked out. Pontius, in every dangerous situation he's in, giggles like an idiot.

Tiki is just another great season or two, not including this one, to get in. Another two seasons of "most yards from scrimmage" (his honors in 2004 and 2005) could sway many votes. The fact is, if he retires now, he has two Pro Bowls, no MVP and no Super Bowl ring to his name. That's not enough to get into the Hall.

Besides the black hole that is my center position, I came out suprisingly well. I got into the draft a bit too late and was autodrafed my first center in RAEF LAFRENTZ in Round 9. Needless to say, I might need more than that. As the owner of McGrady, I'll pretend to ignore his history of injuries and proclaim that this year will be different.

This is posted for whoever hasn't seen it yet. I know someone is bound to post it, so I might as well save you the trouble. The first time I'd seen it, in one of those retrospective pieces they do on ESPN, I almost vomited in front of nogoodnick. At that time, I didnt know if he had died or not. Quick description is the Sabres goalie whose artery in his throat was sliced open by a skate. View at your own risk (no contact footage, just the aftermath and the blood): Clint Malarchuk:
