Aside from Angle/Benoit in '03, I can't recall the last time WWE offered a legitimate claim for a MOTY post 1997. What's your opinion on HHH/Foley from RR in 2000? Or the three ways between Benoit/HBK/HHH? The three ways is greatly overvalued because of the emotional sting of the WMXX. The second one was probably better as far as the quality of the match but lacked the punch. It was good and probably one of the better WM main events ever but it was so far behind for MOTY because that was a rare year where one match was far and away the MOTY. It still holds up on the emotional level regardless of hindsight. The street fight, to me is HHH's best work and one of Foley's greatest performences which is tremendous considering not just the high level of quality they each have but just for that year alone. You want to take a stab at Edge/Rey v. Benoit/Angle from No Mercy '02? Or Austin/Angle from Summerslam '01? The former won MOTY from the Observer. 98 and 99 are the only years that the WWE didn't offer a legitimate MOTY candidate since 1997, and you can even say that Austin/Foley from Over The Edge '98 was arguably the best match on American soil.

Who keeps calling slants toward the middle of the field? This is retarded.

Fucking Nate Robinson. If I had to assess suspensions, they would revolve around Melo, Nate, Collins and J.R. Smith. Everyone else is mostly innocent for the most part. They have to make an example out of the guys that provoke and aggravate these fights, not the ones that are involved in a roundabout way. Jeffries has a right to be pissed about Melo throwing that punch - he had a natural reaction to that, and he shouldn't be punished. Camby should be rewarded for saving Melo's life too.

There are a few dozen of the 20GB consoles lying around my local GameStop. The manager said that they had only managed to sell in the single digits of the 40 they have received so far.

I vote for the status quo.

I don't have a TV at the moment, but I do have Halo 2, FNR 3, Gears of War and soon the Burger King collection. I'll get back into grabbing new games in a week or two. I'm dying to pick up Tiger Woods and one of the basketball games out there. Gamertag is claytronovich.

I lost by one point in the tiebreaker. FUCK OAKLAND.

Well, our town has a ridiculous amount of amenities for a town of 719 (according to the last census). Then again, we are a getaway destination, so a four-star hotel in our town might not be that befuddling.

I'd expect a whole lot of talking heads bitching either way when the BCS rankings come in Monday. Me, being anti-BCS, will enjoy every minute of this. EDIT: My mistake. Thanks, UW. I keep thinking it's Monday.

The point is that the debate isn't about who you want to see in the title game. The debate is about who is the second best team in the country. Your argument is like saying "well, Michigan and Florida are pretty even, but my aunt lives in Ann Arbor, so I think Michigan should get in". Okay, should I edit my second line to appease everyone? My point still stands. Who cares if I want to see Florida or not -- what seperates either team from that BCS bid? EDIT: This may be the shittiest officiating crew I've ever seen in a football game (re: Hawaii/OSU). They're just blowing calls everywhere on both teams. Even the announcers were calling them on missing horse collars, late hits, running the clock when the offense went out of bounds. Just pathetic.
-
How does Michigan prove they are the second-best team in the country? Because they lost a close game to the best team in the country? Florida defeated four top-15 schools this season. What seperates either of them from each other? The tie-breaker for me is simply this: I don't want to see a rematch.

Don't know if this warranted its own thread, but Bryan Alvarez, on his weekend radio show, said: "I swear to God, this is true - you want to know what happened with this show [this week's Impact]? Russo fucked up and thought there was an extra week, so they had to do two hours of angles in this show."

No offense, Mole, but Barron, you made my day.

It means that that he purchased a modded one from an online site or the like. You can obviously sends yours in to be modded, or do it yourself given how it's becoming easier and easier to do so, but that's the other option.

Oh, you had it set to "sync all music"...that would also explain it.
-
If the songs are "greyed" out, that means that the iPod is locked to another computer. The only way I knew how to get out of that is to re-format the iPod, but maybe there's an easier way to go about it. I don't remember any type of "read-only" setting. With a program like CopyPod and such, you can save the music before you re-format.

Those events were out of Dumars' hands anyway. Dumars could not offer more than $48 million for four years, and while he took only $3 million more per to leave the Pistons, he was already fed up with Flip and wanted to leave anyway. It'd be safe to say that if the Bulls offered the same amount as the Pistons, Ben would've signed with Chicago. There's no reason that Dumars should be credited (or for that matter, given the blame) for how Ben soured on playing for the Pistons.

OK. Kiwanuka is thinking he's going to get called for a roughing penalty, because he puts his head down at the same instant that Young goes into a throwing motion. Just look what he does when he lets go of Young - he looks behind him to see where Young threw it. On fourth and 10 at that point in the game, that's a deadly penalty to give up. That "bone-headed play" is the result of the trigger-finger of the referees forcing defenses to be even more tentative on how they can pressure the quarterback.

Is this the "woe is me" road win you were looking for? Half of a point more for the Bears and the result is different. They should've given Grossman that out of pity for his performance.

42-35 Hawai'i. YEAH~!
-
I'd be much more of a Hawai'i homer if the school would actually show the games on their broadcast channel here - instead, they moved all of the home games save Oregon State (and some road games) to pay-per-view, at TWENTY-NINE DOLLARS per game. Fuck that. 21-20 Purdue with a whole fourth quarter to go.

Could any of you guys put a "Do Get/Do Look For" bulletpoint for me? All I know is, I need a new television after giving away my old standard 27" to my mother a few days ago, and I'm itching to get into the new-age models to take advantage of my 360. Gears of War has been sitting on my shelf for over a week now. The situation is, I don't have HDTV capabilities (yet), so I'm simply getting in now for the 360, my assload of DVDs and the fact that it's a bad idea to stay with the standard television for another year and try and justify that purchase.

When is the best time to make a purchase this year? I'm looking to put down around $1000-1800 for something, with my options being Costco and Walmart. Slim pickings, I know.
