A *bump* because this comes out on Tuesday. I usually receive new DVDs on the Thursday before street date, so when I spotted this, I remembered that great trailer and decided to watch it tonight. I have to say, the cast of this movie was dead-on. I can't imagine anyone else playing Harold Crick, Kay Eiffel, Ana Pascal or Jules Hilbert, or even coming close to doing the roles justice. A must-see film for 2006 releases. I have yet to see a few of the big guns (Departed, for example), so this goes just below Little Miss Sunshine at the top, and could move up with repeat viewings.

I'd guess that with the pain Wade was in, that it's a severely separated shoulder, which would require surgery. And yes, that's Phil's first 6-game losing streak...ever. That's crazy.

Heavy Lumber selects Mike Mussina... We'll do better, we promise.

You might want to reconsider another 30 pounds. As Frigid said, you should probably stop at around 170-175 unless you're going to do more lower-body work.

Sorry for the delay - I make 20 on the Yahoo page.

I don't think Mencia would be as popular as he is if he prefaced his jokes by saying "Hey! Here's a good anecdote that my friend and fellow comedian Ari came up with". When you're a stand-up comedian, the point is that it is your jokes. Whether they succeed or bomb, other comedians don't take them. Just see the 'Louis CK v. Dane Cook' video from earlier - Dane just took CK's joke and did a different introduction to it. It's blatant, and insulting to other comedians. EDIT: I don't know why Slim was dragged into this. He said he had no problem with Mencia stealing jokes, which is fine by me. That doesn't change the fact that I hated Mencia's act before, and now with this, I completely loathe him for being exposed for the thief he is.

Gee, here I am thinking that Joe Rogan moved on to bigger and better things with a job he truly loves, but I guess Raz is right: he's dwelling on a cable comedy show from four years ago. Yeah, that's it.

Now, I've got mashers at both corners... 1B, Mark Teixeira.

He's responding because Dirk won't bother to respond. And no, I'm not defending Cuban, but that's all he doing. If he had planned to take potshots at Wade, he would've done it last June. Cuban is right on his points, though...how can Wade question Dirk's leadership skills, when he hasn't even taken control of his own team? Today's game was the first time in months that the Heat looked to be on the same page.

The Bulls lost by one in their previous meeting (97-96 at Chicago last month), with Hinrich out. I agree with Samurai - whether or not either game means anything in terms of status in the league, the Bulls deserve respect. And this is still a transition year with Brown's expiring contract and the bloated backcourt.

Geez, how did I miss that? Hmm. Make it the 2003 Braves.

EDIT: Make that the 1990 Athletics.

From Yahoo... Wow, if this is true, somebody better make a move NOW.

Well, it's serpentine, so no one really benefits from a better pick.

Time of possession... Indy: 38:04 Bears: 21:56 Third-down conversions... Indy: 8-18 (44%) Chicago: 3-10 (30%) Fumbles (lost) Indy: 2 (2) Chicago: 4 (3) Maybe all of you weren't actually tuning into the game, but the Colts "offensive juggernaut" performance was nothing more than the Bears fucking up on every offensive possession. Grossman deserves to take shit from the media - who can he pass it off on? Every time he blew a play on third down, or made a stupid turnover, he would just jog off the field with a nonchalant attitude. He could've proven all of the critics wrong with even a decent performance. Basically, the Colts played a steady game. Even the best defenses in the league will be worn down by clock-eating plays and a downhill offensive attack.

Uh, because a two-point conversation makes it a three-point game. I honestly thought they were going for two.

Rain in HD. How wonderful. EDIT: That was a disgusting commercial.

31-20, Indy. No real analysis on why it'll end this way, just a feeling of what the result is.

Same here. Scoring hits or doubles (and not both) are acceptable to me. Adding SLG may make things too bloated, because I can't see removing OBP or anything else to make room for it. That is, unless we add another positive statistic to the pitching categories.

If we're using that "lose a draft pick" rule, then we should be allowed to change keepers prior to the beginning of the draft. You shouldn't have to keep someone who will be out for eighteen months. That's a waste of a roster slot for an entire baseball season.

I've ben a subscriber since last July. The two-out subscription was a bit too much, so I'm just paying fifteen bucks or so for the one-out. I'm satisfied.

Please tell me someone watched the highlights of the Jazz/Hornets game tonight. There was a fat lady yelling at the opposing player's free throws who made the most annoying sound I've ever heard. I say that with no exaggeration. She did it twice in the highlight and I was ready to throw things at my screen.

So if I'm paying for 80 analog channels, and my new Philips 37" LCD (YEAH!) picked up most to all of the 200 digital channels that tack on an extra $39.95 to a cable bill, will Time Warner realize this? Not that I don't mind them blocking the extra channels, even though they include ABCHD, FOXHD, NBCHD and CW, but will they say that I'm committing an illegal act?

It also has the invite to the Halo 3 Online beta packaged with most of the preorder copies of the game.
