What the fuck, Milwaukee.

Anyone want to explain that trade from the Sonics position? Trading away Allen doesn't make the Sonics more attractive for Rashard. EDIT: And like I said a few days ago, the Celtics had no use for that #5 pick. What a steal for the Celtics.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Fökai replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
The report is from a video that aired on "Good Morning America", and the update from Marvez is just worded wrong. The reporter on the scene broke that sentence up into two statements. He said something to the effect of "...but they [the "instruments of death"] haven't been disclosed yet. Nevertheless, the wrestling industry itself is about to come under heavy scrutiny". -
He's opting out to get more money from Detroit now. It's a matter of the amount of leverage he'll have next year when all of the big contracts expire. If he finishes the last year of the contract, he goes into a free agent pool next summer that could potentially contain Duncan, KG, Arenas, Carter, Marion, Iverson, J-O'Neal, Brand, Maggette, Marbury, Artest and Jamison (all players with player options or are on the last year of their contract).

First, there were "instruments of death" at the scene, which the investigators haven't disclosed. Secondly, there were no strangulation marks, stab wounds or gun wounds. ----- All we do know, is that a man, clearly not acting in his right mind, murdered his wife, son and then himself. And in this day and age, we are now aware of the effects of multiple concussions leading to bouts of depression. Christ, it was brought to the attention of the media by a former professional wrestler. Right now, it's likely all I can use to point to the catalyst of these events, because it goes against everything he ever stood for. What else leads to the words of the local authorities that the death was "bizarre"? Right now, all I can do is mourn, not accuse. There will be plenty of time for people around the IWC to make an ass out of themselves by painting this murder/suicide in black and white. -
Ric Bucher says that #6 is actually their first priority, which is why they won't deal him to the Bulls. Unless the Suns are really offering what Ripper has said includes Marion, Barbosa and the draft picks, I attempt to bleed everything I can out of the Bulls. I don't really want to believe that Kobe will disrupt the Lakers' chemistry next season if he stays, but if Buss doesn't make a move that will persuade Kobe to stay, the wheels are going to come off that wagon by December, if they haven't already. EDIT: The reason that the Bulls are over the cap, is that ESPN hasn't factored in the players that have player or team options. The Bulls can move P.J. Brown and/or Nocioni in a S&T, which the Lakers should really consider. If the time comes when you need to move Kobe, those contracts will be worth something next season (in PJ's case).

Okay, seriously... 1. Position players do not play every game. 2. Suspending a pitcher five starts means that he can't pitch in any capacity for nearly 15% of the season. Suspending a position player means that he can't play in about 3% of the season. 3. Yeah, no Lee means a short bench, but yes, Young being suspended five starts means a short rotation or bullpen for TWENTY-FIVE GAMES.

Asomugha ranked fifth against #1 WR's last year. The only ones better being Chicago, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Green Bay, who all have considerably better secondaries than Oakland. And I don't know if you were including Gore in the "quality dropoff" backs, but Gore is already a huge factor in any success that the 49ers will potentially have, and have had already.

What the Knicks have to offer to make a trade has to be Marbury, Lee, Frye and Nate while taking Kwame and Turiaf along with Kobe. Nate and Turiaf are there to make the salaries match. Two things: 1. I don't think that the Knicks will give up THAT much for Kobe. 2. Kobe agreeing to be a traded to a Knick team that completely gutted? No way.

I don't know how Marion would interfere with Pierce at all. Marion's offensive game relies on picking up the garbage up off of rebounds and corner jumpers. Marion can do the same thing he's done in Phoenix anywhere else in the league, and Pierce and Rondo should be able to create shots at will. Defensively, Marion's natural position is the 3, but he's been playing a 4 for how many years now? A lineup of Rondo, Pierce, Gomes, Marion and Jefferson leaves no toes stepped on. Or if you want to go big, Rondo, Pierce, Marion, Jefferson and Perkins - not a lineup that's my cup of tea, but it could work. Szcerbiak, Allen and Gomes are all interchangeable in the middle, and they are also dispensible, considering the stalwarts in the starting lineup. But that trade is absurd. If you're willing to get Marion, you might want to think about offering someone in the starting lineup first.
-
I don't care for that trade as Marion is getting up there in years. If it were the Marion of 4 years ago then I'd do that deal in a heart-beat. See, I just assumed that everyone thought that this was one of the worst trades they've ever heard.

Fuck, the Cavaliers just flat out looked like a high school team in the last four minutes of that game, with a coach to match. Out-rebounded, out-hustled on loose balls, just everything. WHY is Donyell Marshall out there in a clutch situation? Gooden and Snow came in with a minute to play, with a look on their face that said "thanks fucker, way to give us a minute to gel with Lebron and try to make a run". I can't blame Mike Brown for what he was to work with, but really, even if you don't have a roster that can keep up with the Spurs, you have a responsibility to put your best team on the court. A frontcourt of Varejao and Marshall deserves to be ridiculed.

Yeah, unless I'm impervious to pain, the root canal I had last summer was a piece of cake. I put that that procedure off for so long because of the horror stories everyone would hear. The only thing that truly freaked me out was the feeling of a needle actually going through the bottom of my jaw to numb that area. The worst pain I've ever felt in my life was the sleepless night before I finally caved to go to the dentist. The inside of one of my teeth had rotted to the nerve (yet the outside remained pretty immaculate), and I don't wish that shit on ANYONE.

EDIT: I did a full edit after re-thinking my strategy. The Rock, Cena, Edge, Samoa Joe and Kennedy. If I could really press my luck, Lesnar subbing for Kennedy. With either combination, I've got the perfect combination of stars that transcend the spot and could be programmed against each other (Rock, Cena), guys on the cusp of carrying the company (Edge), guys that would legitimize the workers in the ring with their style (Joe and/or Lesnar) and the next big things in the industry (Joe and Kennedy). The way I'd keep everyone happy would be to balance the house show schedule so that we'd still work dates without sending all of the "A" talent everywhere. Imagine the promotion doing 3-4 dates a week without having the top talent work more than twice a week. Build a house show around two of the top five appearing, then send everyone to TV to maintain exposure. I'd think that most guys would be happy with working only 110-120 dates a year including TV and pay-per-views. The stars on top would sustain the merchandise, ticket sales and buyrates for years to come.

Where are the blackjack machines (or better yet, where's the highest concentration you've seen in a casino)? I would've made my living doing those instead of the tables or the slots. If you want to save a load of money, get buzzed off of cheap drinks and comps at the casino, THEN head to the club. Vegas is the only place where $7.00 for a Heinken is standard fare.

On a personal note, a guy in my town - my little fucking town with 700 people, where everyone knows everyone - a resident who arrived a few years ago had a dispute with a neighbor over how loud his dogs were when they were chained up. It was more a matter of them barking in the early morning when people would jog by. He decided a few weeks back to sneak into the neighbors yard, trap one of his dogs in a corner and bludgeon it to death (with a bat, I believe). He then decapitated the dog and buried in his yard and waited there for the neighbor to discover the blood trail leading to the mound of dirt that covered the dog. Would you condone this, iggy? Would you consider this to be a "non-story"? What about if he was a celebrity or public figure? Wait, I guess you already said they're "fucking animals" and the average American can be easily manipulated by the media to "defend them". That's pathetic. Probably one of the worse statements I've read here in the forums.

YEEHAW~!

Except that DWIGHT HOWARD is playing on the Magic right now. Why pass up the opportunity to coach the Magic, who have a legitimate superstar and cap room to nab someone else of that level? Why stay at Florida, the defending National Champions with 0 returning starters? Why go to Miami, where their situation in 2010 could not possibly be any better than the 07-08 Magic?
-
Once again, their most expensive player, one who struggled to stay healthy, is now off the books. With his injury history, a cheap offer by Orlando would be enough to nab him if he doesn't retire. That's already enough cash to sign any of the three aforementioned players, most importantly Rashard Lewis. Not to mention Dooling possibly opting out, the Magic not being sure on what to do with Darko and moving any of the point guards to draft a new one. Again, you don't have to rebuild if you have a superstar player and a bunch of cap room. Why is Miami in three years a desirable job? They'll always be decent enough with Wade to never draft an impact player, will return each season with Antoine Walker and O'Neal on the books so they can't afford to bring in anybody decent, and he'll be constantly second-guessed in the media compared to Riley. If you want to talk about a total rebuilding year, look at Miami in 2010 with Walker and Wade under contract. Hmm, three years down the line.

Fruit 2-O is vile. Just utterly vile. You should try Crystal Light Lemonade mix - I've sworn by that for two months now, and have given up all caffeinated drinks since then. Except for Vault Red Blitz. That shit is addicting.
-
Orlando has Grant Hill possibly retiring or returning for cheap and $8 million in player options, which could add up to a lot of cap room. Imagine the Magic adding Rashard Lewis, Gerald Wallace or Mo Williams? They may not be contenders now, but they can hold their own in the Southeast. And with three picks in the draft (all 2nd round), a few of them are bound to replace the scrubs they have on the bench. With a franchise player in Howard, it won't take long for them to "rebuild". And now with a $27.5 million commitment to a head coach, I'd have to guess that they will act quickly to surround Donovan with talent.

I figure Al might want to hear this: Shane Victorino's father did a keynote address at my high school's athletic banquet last night (graduated a few years ago, but I'm coaching basketball there now). He's also a local politician (and a family friend, it turns out), so there's the tie-in. The best line of his address was the clowning on his younger son Shane, who before the age of 10, "was sent to the emergency room ten times, with 28 stitches and was run over and thrown from a moving car in separate incidents". He actually began to cry when someone showed him the SI issue from last week with Shane in one of the two-page action shots...obviously he had never seen it. Another note was his visit to CBP last week, where his son introduced him to all of the groundskeepers, ushers and janitors, all by name. You can't help but root for Shane.

Try Gordon, Deng, Nocioni, Thomas, and the 9th pick. And Brown for salary purposes. Duhon, Gordon, Nocioni, Brown and the 9th pick would be enough. Or swap the Duhon/Nocioni combo for Deng. I just feel that's the most that Paxson will offer. Yes, Thomas is expendable, but you can't move him AND the #9 pick. The Bulls' 4/5 options off the bench are awful.
-
It's bound to be a three-team deal. For example, Chicago can't do anything without getting someone like Boston (Ratliff, Wally), New York (take your pick) or Seattle (after signing Rashard) to move their piece to the Lakers. Most trade possibilities will revolve around Team A (let's say the Bulls) receiving Kobe, Team B (middle-man) receiving Nocioni/Duhon/whomever, and the Lakers receiving Gordon/Bulls' 1st-rounder/Team B's albatross. Even if it isn't the Bulls, the recipients of Kobe will have to pay through the nose. There aren't too many inflated contracts floating around in the league anymore, and it'll come down to whoever can afford to lose 2-3 key players and a draft pick.

Well, isn't his brother Marcus? Then yes, he still is the more sensible Vick.
