If Michigan gets a rematch, I don't know what I'll do. Unless there was just some controversial finish that created that asterisk to the game, they don't deserve it. If this was USC and Notre Dame from last year, I'd most certainly do that game again. Michigan/Ohio State? No way.

Hell yes. Squeaked one out.

But put that into perspective. Game's best effort behind Dre is just a hair better than Jay's pop album. I expect Game to mount Dre on the next album and he'll then achieve "King of Hip-Hop" status. Anyway, I think Jay is bulletproof at this point and he knows it. No one will call him on a terrible album if he leaves here. That said, a few songs on here outright blow ass, like the first single, or are just embarrassing to listen to ('Minority Report'). Just another reason why the current wave of hip-hop artists should really keep their nose out of politics, because the lyrics are neither relevant or thought-provoking. Just overall crap. But just watch: he pulls another great album out of his ass on the next go-around and this one will be forgotten like The Dynasty or Blueprint 2.1.

Alvarez said that he is working on a short-term contract (likely week-to-week) after his contract ran out last month.

The Dodgers have a really big decision when it comes to keeping Garciaparra. They're going to have a lot of money to play with, with the subtractions of Drew and Gagne. ESPN hinted that a few new talents would get the chance to compete for an everyday starting job, but they need bats now with Drew leaving. You don't want to overpay for Soriano or Aramis, but they might have no choice with the remaining free agent infield class. Anyone have any suggestions as to what they should do?

Cincy will not beat Rutgers. West Virginia, on the other hand, WILL beat Rutgers. I'm assuming the wave of momentum will carry them by Cincy, no matter how hard the Bearcats bring the game to them. But West Virginia, with an angry Slaton, will see this as their way of revenge and beat them at home. Obviously, that's just a prediction, but my instincts with the Big East picture haven't been wrong yet. I wonder how tonight's game affects the rankings. I guess Louisville will drop somewhere in between USC and West Virginia with this loss. Rutgers, on the other hand, will be moving up, but the problem is that quite a few teams above of them will likely leave the week with impressive wins. 1. Ohio State (65) 10-0 at Northwestern. 2. Michigan 10-0 at Indiana 3. Louisville 8-0 4. Texas 9-1 conference game at K-State 5. Auburn 9-1 SEC game at home against Georgia. 6. Florida 8-1 tough game at home against South Carolina. 7. USC 7-1 big game against #21 Oregon. 8. California 8-1 conference game at Arizona. 9. Notre Dame 8-1 at Air Force. 10. West Virginia 7-1 at home against Cincy. 11. Arkansas 8-1 SEC game at home against Vols. 12. LSU 7-2 SEC game at home against 'Bama. 13. Tennessee 7-2 could break top 10 with win. 14. Boise State 9-0 tries to stay perfect at San Jose State. 15. Rutgers 8-0

I think that was the joke. Honestly, I would've picked Louisville anyway, even though I was rooting for Rutgers to win. Central Michigan Minnesota Purdue Wisconsin Arkansas Iowa State Pittsburgh Miami Nebraska Washington State Oregon State Wake Forest USC 35/175

It's his groin, and the newswire says that he's healthy, but he needs to catch up with the team since he missed most of training camp.

Indulge us. The players themselves place only Fortson above him.

I'd suspect that a new match won't be announced until Sunday, because (Smackdown spoilers below)...
-
That's going to be a trainwreck of epic proportions. I can't wait.

Blaze and Jay have yet to produce a hit track - the production is equally at fault as the lyricist in this case. Let's see - 'Song Cry'? No. 'Girls, Girls Girls'? No. I doubt the title track behind Blaze's production will fare better either (though I mildly like what I heard of it). Maybe he should've started out with the Kanye track with John Legend, or the Neptunes track with Pharrell and Usher to ride out the popularity. They have got to be better than these first two offerings.

Howard has to average fifty homeruns a year for the next thirteen seasons. I know it's too early to make projections on either end, but doesn't that seem a bit implausible?

People do this all the time in high school and get away with it. That was my point. It's blatant, but no one will ever call him on it because it's still a judgment call and can be misconstrued as accidental. The league informed the officials to start calling it as a foul, but it can never be called consistently with how fast the game moves. I guess it's just pure coincidence that in SI's 2005 poll of the dirtiest players in the league, players voted Bowen second to Danny Fortson. So, it's now VC, Allen, Szczerbiak and Francis. Anymore I'm missing?
-
So Bruce Bowen injuries another player. But no, he can't be dirty, can he? NOOO!! He's just a superb defender who just so happens to use the foot sweep that we all left behind in high school varsity. I suppose he can abandon that and go to the"bring hands underneath the feet of a jump-shooter" to be more blatant.

They jobbed Abyss clean before his title shot? HOW is this different from the WWE?

I had one nailed down at $900 through eBay (I think the guy messed up on the description for the listing, so not too many people caught it), but a guy (with a feedback score of 0) came in at the end and bumped it up to $1325. He was the guy I was competing with on the auction, and the last 8 bids were between the two of us. The seller rejected his bid afterwards, stating the rules about the feedback, and offered me the system for $1200 flat (my highest bid was $1200). I'm torn between getting it for the craziness that should bump up the bids post-Thanksgiving, or waiting on another one to come along. What would y'all do?
-
I don't know when I'll be getting the game specifically, but it should definitely be by Friday, the 17th. Add me if you haven't already...'claytronovich'.

Won by the skin of my teeth. Even a potential tiebreaker would've only been decided by one measly point.

Wazzu's (4-3 in conference) remaining schedule: at Arizona State home against Washington Oregon (4-2 in conference) remaining schedule: at USC home against Arizona at Oregon State Wazzu has the tiebreaker. I think they will send Oregon to the bowl unless there's a upset in the Coliseum next weekend against USC.
-
Actually, WAC #2 got the Hawai'i Bowl this season regardless. The Pac-10 standings say that it will definitely come down to the two Oregon schools or Wazzu for the #5 seed. I can't say who I'm hoping they play just yet.
