Oh god, please don't Isiah leave the Knicks. There are just too many easy jokes to be made, and ESPN is finally getting around to making them. On that same note, I'm putting the Knicks 1st-round pick on repeat in my DVD player. From the fan bashing Francis, to everything the announcers said about Isiah, to the sadistic smile Stern had throughout the entire announcement (especially when he said "....we have a trade"). Don't let this end.

CrazyMax.org. I can't recommend it enough. -
I want to switch to Boise State, if possible.

That *should* be the story of the game. Dallas had a really bad third quarter - one problem of which was those terrible lob passes by Daniels and Terry. It wasn't a matter of Miami playing really good defense (as someone here posted), but it was guys like Haslem and Posey cheating on passes and the Mavs just giving the ball to them. When they did get the play set up, they just settled for jump shots with wide open lanes. This wouldn't be a problem if they had a rebounding prescence that could frustrate Shaq and get him in foul trouble early (since Haslem was basically playing perimeter defense on Dirk all series). Which is why I blame this loss on Erick Dampier. It's just too damn convenient not to. Miami looks like a team that could fall apart at the drop of a hat. They have too many players to bring back until multi-year deals that any complacency screws them up. I don't know how much help comes from guys around Wade in the coming seasons, especially when you consider the motivation that Walker and Payton (for example) will have with a championship now under their belts.

Someone shoot Pat Riley in the face.
-
It's not like they would've created a shot for him. Dirk literally shoved two defenders on that last possession for Terry to get his open look.
-
Dallas' third quarter killed them. Miami played an average game - it's just that Dallas played worse.

Josh Howard messed that finish up with two missed free throws and a Chris Webber moment, but this Avery Johnson press conference is AWESOME. He's making that guy look like shit. I turned it off. What's he saying? Some dumbass asked him what he thought of the last play, so Avery responded by asking the reporter what he thought of it. The guy stumbled for a minute and then said something like "well they called it a foul". Avery then mocked him by saying "that's the political answer, but what did you THINK about the play". The guy stuttered again, and you could just tell he was embarassed as Avery was telling him to explain to all of the other reporters, especially those from Israel, Germany etc how that was a foul. The guy got so flustered he decided that he would ask another question. Avery just glared at him and said "go ahead", so the guy stuttered some more leading to a "don't stutter!". I forget what the second question was, but that's mainly because I was laughing so hard at the poor schmuck for asking such a stupid question knowing full well that Avery thought it was a BS call. It was basically the equivalent of a really shy guy being stripped to his underwear, tied up and tossed in front of a classroom full of his peers with everyone pointing and laughing as he peed on himself. "I hope this will be on youtube!" Well, well... http://www.youtube.com/results?search=aver...s&search=Search

People were literally mugging each other in the early stages of Jordan's career. Jordan was sent to the line so much because he was the Bulls' only threat until Pippen and Grant came along. The rest of the team was such a joke that a rookie Charles Oakley was counted on as their second offensive threat. Charles Oakley. Michael handled the ball on EVERY play, whether he wanted to or not. Wade doesn't do that, and that's not a knock on him, but the respect they're giving to the stars now is just ridiculous.

1. With all of the build toward the X-Division angle, will Nash put over more than he will squash. I'm not talking about quantity of people, either, just the one or two guys he puts over in the end. Such as, squashing Sabin this Sunday is fine for the angle, but what's the big picture? Who exactly will he be putting over? 2. Will this angle actually benefit Shelley more than it will Nash. If not, it's just Nash putting himself over and giving his remaining heat to Shelley. Considering that Alex was already being built up with the Sting angle, he isn't that far away from success - TNA just simply forgot about him for a while. I will say that I'm enjoying the angle from a fan's standpoint. But if you want to analyze it, there's an argument to be made. If you want to make direct comparisons from recent months, Batista made everyone care about MNM for a few weeks until the writers decided they had to make a useless angle out of it. After months of bungling his push, everyone and their mother is putting over Lashley on his way up the card. Edge is likely a bigger draw than anyone on the TNA roster, and all it took was interaction with guys like Cena, Foley. and Flair to get him over. You may need to clarify the last sentence, because I don't think you want to emphasize that Nash is getting himself over for his benefit and that's a good thing.

There's no way the Czechs are going to beat Italy after their loss to Ghana, especially going into the game short-handed. The United States control their future, and they played 3-4x better than they did against the Czechs. The game they played today aginst the Italy certainly isn't an aberration for either team; both teams are REALLY good and Italy will make it far in the Cup no matter what happens to the rest of the pool.

Screw the conspiracy theories. I blame Mark Cuban. I had the pleasure of reading his blog, and after five minutes, I wanted to punch him in the face. He just has this quality about him which is compounded by the fact that he KNOWS he's an annoying bastard.

It's exclusive to Shopzone. You could find it at a few stores, but none of the major outlets (Walmart, Best Buy, FYE/Sam Goody) are advertising it for a national release.

And you didn't write them off too? Their payroll is FIFTEEN MILLION. Excuse me while I vomit while you trump their heroic efforts. They're not a truly awful team, unless you count that run right before yours where they had 6 wins in 27 games. Blame someone else besides the writers and fans who wrote them off. Blame their shitty owners for fielding a team that can't reasonably compete yet.

Anyone find it convenient that no more than a few weeks later, they do the "Come Back Hulk" angle that overshadowed Warrior's reign? I doubt that Hogan was the one who planned to sabotage Warrior's run. Well, at least he wasn't the first or last who did. Everything post-match was a planned spot. This was to eventually build up to Hogan/Warrior, the rematch at Mania VII. (Case in point, the interview where Tunney says that "these men can never wrestle again"). Hogan can't control the cameras, obviously. Hebner screwed up and gave both belts to Warrior, who then threw the World title back at Hebner in order to run the angle. Hogan's whole life is a work - it wouldn't surprise me that he's working us about sabotaging other reigns just to make his run seem more important.

How can anyone use words like "hate" or "dislike" with Shaquille O'Neal? I really want to know. Everytime he does or says something ridiculous, I can't seem to love the guy enough.
-
Wel, five more dollars won't hurt the wallets of the core buyers they have now. If they're willingly paying $34.95 for a majority of the single-brand shows, this won't stop them.

Yep. Fantastic main event level talent like John Cena, Triple H, Vince McMahon, Mark Henry, Great Khali, and when he returns, Randy Orton. I really want to see those guys taking up every moment on both shows. HHH is a good wrestler who hasn't done anything new in a long time and is now more boring than anything (HBK fits here too), and the others are just plain horrible. Guys like Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle & Edge can have fun on Heat or enjoy retirement. Great times. I wonder where people got the idea that the audiences booed Cena for his wrestling ability. Ever rule out the fact that he has been booked in a half-assed manner for the last twelve months? Could it be the same "evil referee" storyline rehashed, or the "plotting general manager" angle again and again, or the weekly handicap matches?

I just meant that you shouldn't even consider it. You're not going to get anything noteworthy out of their program in a single year. And as you said, everything you want out of Hawai'i, you can just accomplish by going there for two weeks.
-
EDIT: Nevermind. I can talk you out of Hawai'i a little later.

December 3rd will be an ECW PPV, according to Alvarez.

It's a real situation that could be used for an angle. He needs arthroscopic knee surgery, so this is an ideal way to get him out of the ring until Vengeance.
