And I'm willing to tank the season as a 49ers fan if they trade up for Bush. I'm honestly torn over what they should do, because they're at least a year away from moving toward the postseason. If they're not drafting Vernon Davis and a position at secondary with those two first-rounders, they're better off drafting Bush.

You've made better points this year than they have. #2 and #3 make the decision toward Young because they're desperate, and #4 chooses Young because he's a durable quarterback who can run? Yeah, because that has proven to be effective within the past five years. Culpepper is a NFL linebacker with a quarterback's arm, and even's he breaking down physically. There should be no doubt that Leinart stays in the league longer than Young. The bone of contention are the levels of success that either of them could have. But the problem is, both of them are groomed to be winners. The Notre Dame and Rose Bowl game showed what Leinart was capable of, and that same Rose Bowl showed what Young was capable of. Right now, it's neck-and-neck and neither guy is the right or wrong choice.

A quarterback has to adjust to so many differences from the college to pro game. It's certainly arguable that Young is as good a talent as Bush is, but it's a different beast with a rookie quarterback. If a team had to succeed with Young now, they'd have to adapt to his spread offense in Texas, which would not go over well in the league. Young's sole strengths as a rookie would be his legs and his strength, which would be nullified pretty quickly with a NFL-style offense. There's a good chance he's going to be paired with an average set of receivers, which doesn't help his case either. A rookie running back just has to learn the routes and run the ball. Sure, there's more to it than that, but the position is simplified for a rookie or second-year starter. A veteran fullback or tailback can cover for Bush's weaknesses, whatever they may be, until he develops into what Tomlinson and the like have become. There's a reason why premier rookie quarterbacks fail by the busload, and premier rookie running backs have decent to great starts.

His match with Finlay is next week. If they have something planned for him, it is as a result of how their match plays out.

The Marine will be released on September 29th. If there's a chance in hell of Cena turning, it won't be until that movie leaves theatres.

After reading that article, I'm going to cheer so hard for them in the postseason. ESPN Classic aired Duke/UConn from the '99 NCAA Finals a few days ago, and it was so cool to see a flashback of guys like Brand and Rip, two of my favorite players in the league, playing in a big-time environment. Hamilton has continued that success, and it's finally time for Brand to do so as well. Too bad that the Clips are in L.A., but their fans have deserved a winner for so long that they could give a shit about bandwagon fans.
