I guess that was unintentional humor, but I'll take it. This is the first time in a few years that I've had this type of excitement anticipating a college football game. The only thing I can say to add to the thread for now is that I'm not rooting for Texas. Perhaps, being in a room full of USC fans (all by default for whuppin' UH's asses) will bring out all of the hate. Mack Brown will be sucking his thumb in a fetal position by the end of the third. I don't know how I double-posted that.

I'm surprised the '88 Dodgers made it this long without being mentioned. when you consider the replayability and appeal of a single season. Of course, I'm not old enough to have experienced the Bash Brothers, but Gibson in Game 1 is enough to make anyone like that Dodger team.

NFC NORTH CHAMPIONS!

Actually, he was...surprise...injured for seven months after a show in October. This was only a week or two after the pay-per-view match with 3MW. Rotator cuff surgery in 2000, which put him out of action for eight months. The aforementioned shoulder injury in 2002. Re-aggravated shoulder injury in 2003 after three months on the road. Injured and a drug-related setback in 2004.

Well, like you mentioned, it fit the anti-American gimmick, so you can excuse it being renamed to the Maple Leaf Crab. And besides, he did have a different transition to the move (rolling leg hook into crab).

The only one cofirmed is Madden.

If that order stays the way it is, what is the farthest that Bush could possibly drop?

He passed away in 1998.

Boy, did Eli get lucky on that near-sack. His leg would've snapped in half if that Raider went down with him instead of brushing off after the hit.

PLEASE tell me that someone else is watching this ESPN segment on Jerry Rice post-retirement. This is hilarious.

Geez, how unfair is that? Unless I'm missing something here with the realignments or something.

Of all things to insult Randy Orton for...it's the one he's open and apologetic for. Since it was outside of the arena, how can you blame Orton for reacting like that?
-
Just because they believe he's not being an impartial mod? I don't care either way...just saying, is all.

The movie took about 90 minutes to get going. And by get going, I mean by having anything eventful happen. It was as if I watching an 500-page book being acted out one line at a time. SO FUCKING SLOW, with too many jump cuts and set changes. But, once you get to the action and gore, you're left with the potential of what could've been a damn good horror film. If you enjoy movies that you can instantly forget about upon walking out of the theater, you will love Wolf Creek.

Meltzer has been pimping the Stampede book for quite some time - he had the rough draft and advance copy of the book.

If Casserly is stupid, he'll keep the pick and take Bush. Casserly is stupid, so he will take Bush. Reggie is basically last on their need list, and I don't see how his presence will suddenly improve their team. They have less pieces in place than the Niners or Jets, who honestly are each a marquee player and a good free agent offseason away from being respective .500 teams. The Texans just need an entire offensive line overhaul, as well as a complementary wideout. In the Niners' case, Barlow can be moved for a third-round pick, which can turn into another lineman that can usurp Kwame Harris. Of course, if Bush goes to the Texans, Nolan can trade down or grab Mario Williams, who fills a pressing need at defensive end. I know it may sound stupid, but the the only positive coming out of today's win is the emergence, sort of, of Frank Gore. He's a gifted running back and someone I have faith in starting next season if we don't get Bush. If he can fight off the injury bug, Gore is a good selection for the future. It'll still sting if Bush is grabbed one selection ahead of San Fran.
-
God, why did the Niners win today? Stupid stupid stupid. They better pray that Houston takes a lineman, or that they throw next week's game.

I don't see the benefit of the trade for the Braves, either. Unless it's Cabrera or a minor league arm, the Braves shouldn't do it, and the Indians probably wouldn't budge with all of the moves they've made with the bullpen already.
