  1. MFerXtreme. It's not him I object to so much, it's that his username is "MFerXtreme".
  2. I almost picked Fridge for my fullback.
  3. Tom Dempsey Why the fuck not, right? He'll punt, too. Not that I plan on that happening.
  4. The only Ozma song I've ever heard is "Game Over". While I do appreciate allusions to Back to the Future, I got kinda tired of it after it came up on shuffle about twice.
  5. He's probably too big to play shortstop. Maybe he can play 1st.
  6. Just saw these stats, I'm pretty excited. Toby Hyde of MetsMinorLeagueBlog compares Kingsport Mets shortstop Wilmer Flores to Jose Reyes' first season with Kingsport.
  7. I have two picks left, and need a punter and a kicker. Logic dictates I get one of those players, but fuck that, I pick... Keyshawn Johnson, WR
  8. I'm with Epic Reine, let's make it 16.
  9. I only need a Punter and a Kicker, not a skill player, Jay Novacek never got added to my roster.
  10. It was called Speedball when we played it in 3rd grade gym. That I know.
  11. Diving is boring. The extent of my diving knowledge is that my summer camp as an 8 year old had an awesome diving board, so to me it looks like they're doing the exact same thing every time they dive. Throw in some spins or something, be more creative.
  12. Billy Wagner is 30 thousand times more trustworthy than Armando Benitez and Braden Looper were. Mets acquired Luis Ayala. Is his ridiculously bad ERA indicitive of how he's pitched this season?
  13. I think all of the EP songs are better than the rerecorded ones, and that's mostly due to the vocals. Still though, it's a really good album. Nah. Ghosts Under Rocks turned out great. Can You Tell did too. Can You Tell sounds like it did live. and Wes' voice is fine, they just went overboard on that weirdo echo effect.
  14. We finish this round, then there's another, and then the next round is the last round.
  15. I'm fine with Brewers fans being over antsy. The team is never in the playoffs, and they traded their top prospect this year for a pitcher who won't be there next year. Is Ben Sheets an impending UFA too? The Brewers could suck a major dick next year if the cards don't fall their way. Let snuffbox freak out if he wants to, I say.
  16. Erich Barnes, CB 6x pro bowler 45 career interceptions in 1961, averaged 97.5 yards per interception return. Caught a touchdown pass once. I guess that sort of makes him like reverse troy borwn. I feel like I've got four of the most underrated defensive backs ever in my secondary.
  17. Ra Ra Riot's The Rhumb Line leaked. I really like it, no surprise. I'll still purchase it on Tuesday when it comes out though, I feel obligated. My only quibble is that the new mix of "Dying is Fine" sucks. On the EP, there was that fantastic string breakdown thing, whatever the hell you want to call that. It was the best part pf the song. They removed it completely. Oh well. The "Suspended in Gaffa" cover is wonderful.
  18. The way I see it, if you don't record enough innings to lead the league in ERA (I have no idea how many innings that is, by the way) you probably shouldn't win the Cy Young. Having said that, since the time of his trade, he's been the best pitcher in the majors.
  19. Jay Novacek, TE
  20. Sorry for the delay! Terrell Suggs, OLB 2x Pro Bowl Defensive Rookie of the Year some college trophies and shit
  21. I missed Eddie Kunz's debut this afternoon. I see he made an error. How'd he pitch otherwise, met fans? Unrelated: hey, grammar nerds, do z's work like s's? Is it "Eddie Kunz' debut" or is "Eddie Kunz's debut" right?
  22. Pascucci is older, 29 or 30 I think. Perhaps the Mets are thinking that Murphy could be a long term option. I understand he also plays 2nd base. Maybe if he hits well, our outfield next year could be Martinez-Beltran-Church and then have Murphy play second base. Or something. I don't know!
  23. Mets call up Dan Murphy, he'll bat 6th tonight and start in left. Also there's some "buzz" that Jon Niese may make a spot start as John Maine has to miss his. At Binghamton, Murphy's hitting .308/.374/.496, with 13 homers and 67 RBI. So maybe he can hit, and not trading for a corner outfield bat wasn't awful. I got to see Niese in spring training this year. Pretty cool, didn't give up any hits in 2 or 3 innings, fanned a couple guys, including Andruw Jones I remember, which was fun. Bobby Parnell pitched as well actually, but I don't really remember what he did.
  24. Nolan Cromwell, S 4x Pro Bowler 1980's All Decade UPI NFC Player of the Year 4x Football Digest Defensive Back of the Year
  25. I declare myself the winner.
