  1. Milky, still riding the momentum of "Steal My Sunshine" from the nomination thread. Slayer, still riding the momentum of being Slayer. Vitamin X, but I motion we make Czech do this next year anyway. Alkepier. the Sports folder is probably the best folder on the board.
  2. Today a good friend of mine found out he's being sent to The Czech Republic for foreign exchange. I thought of our Czech almost immediately. This place is killing me.
  3. Where can we see some of your material?
  4. Czech made a good argument a while ago as to why contraction isn't going to happen to any big sports league soon, and that's probably very true, but if I had to pick I'd say Nashville. Is Kobe's 81 more impressive than Wilt's 100?
  5. I really want to check if any one name came up more than once, but that would be waaayyy too much work. I'm thinking of joining one of those Christian forums and just lurking, though. That sounds like it could be bushels of fun.
  6. He'd get his ass kicked at the line of scrimmage.Since that question sucks, I'm going to answer the soccer one. 1.Gambling. Soccer is totally impossible to gamble on, because the Madrid's and the [other soccer powerhouse] always win, but the score is always something to the tune of 1-0, or 2-1. How do you gamble on a game like that? 50% of college basketball's popularity in America is the gambling that it creates in March. Soccer can't have that. 2.MLS players leaving for Europe. When I lived in New Jersey, Tim Howard played goalie for the Metrostars, and he was beginning to really build a reputation at Elementary School (lol) for being soccer's Martin Brodeur, but before his appeal really sank in, he left to play in Europe. If your emerging stars are constantly leaving, teams will never be able to build a relationship with teams. Everyone can remember their first favorite player on their favorite team, but American Soccer makes it impossible to have that. Q: Where does Andre Johnson rank in terms of the NFL's best receivers?
  7. Before Lebron James played his first game, I bought his McFarlane's Sports action figure for 12.99. Last time I checked it's worth 80 dollars now. Hopefully that continues to rise.
  8. I guess the controversy from round 1 turned me off from voting in the second round? Milky. Milky made a reference to "Steal My Sunshine" in the nom thread. He'd get my vote anyway, but c'mon man, Steal My Sunshine. Venkman, he's just a funny dude. Kamala, for the strong pre-tourney push he made. Slayer, man. Slayer is a rad guy. Czech. Kinetic made a good run though. Little side note on this one, after the cause of my kinetic confusion being avatars, czech has now changed his name and both of these guys have amy winehouse avatars. I think that's amy winehouse anyway. El Dandy. Had I bothered to vote last round I'd have voted gary floyd (for the dolemite post) so it's hard to vote vx here. Edwin MacPhisto is one of the funniest and most culturally savvy guys here. He's also been to Jacksonville, which puts him in an exclusive club that includes pretty much no one. Alkeiper's Value over Replacement Poster is higher than Smues'. Also, Smues is a braves fan, isn't he? Fuck that.
  9. how come we cant speak monkey
  10. http://duggmirror.com/comedy/100_Greatest_...ian_chat_rooms/ I don't want to get into a serious religious conversation, I just think we should laugh at crazy people. I'd post the best ones, but they're all the best ones.
  11. Anybody familiar enough with The Bartlebees enough to reccomend me an album? I listened to them on myspace and I like it, especially the French songs.
  12. Healthy Mike Peterson would have helped too.
  13. I wanted to post in the .72 BAC thread, and then bump the "Ever got so drunk that you..." thread, so we could have a nice convenient thread allignment, but I'm too lazy for that.
  14. You know, if Romo leads the Cowboys to the super bowl, he's kinda like our generations Joe Namath, what with nailing Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood and shit.
  15. They have two first round picks (#18, from Atlanta and #22), plus a sandwich round pick (#33). Picks outside the top 10 are usually less than sure things. Out of those three picks, it would be difficult to project more than one of them as a future quality major leaguer. Clearing out your top 4 or 5 is going to devastate the system, especially one as top heavy as yours. But it may be worth it for Santana. You know, cleaning out the farm system or not...I think I'm leaning towards making this deal.
  16. I can see how I could have offended you.
  17. I always feel lame when I'm at home on Friday nights, but tonight in particular hurts. I think if any more internet controversy arises it should happen, like, at lunchtime. on a tuesday.
  18. I came across the song "How to Embrace a Swamp Creature". Are those cellos? They sound really cool. I might check out the rest of this album if I remember.
  19. Am I dumb, or does Cheech mean that she had about 99.28% blood in her alcohol stream? Blood alcohol content decimals are decimals of a percentage point right? Not just decimals, no?
  20. The SWF has a dude who's going through surgery to become a woman. I think that counts like two gay people.
  21. I'm being told the Mets have three first round draft picks this year - if we ship Fernando Martinez could we potentially re-bulk the farm on this draft alone?
  22. "I like digitial cameras because they allow you to reminisce immediately"
  23. I'd be all for that trade if we still had Lastings Milledge. At this point I'm more interested to hear what the A's want for Joe Blanton.
  24. I like Tony Reali. A couple friends of mine have a pretty small weekly podcast about sports, maybe 100 or so listeners, but Reali was nice enough to come on the show and do an interview. He seems like a good guy.
