They have two first round picks (#18, from Atlanta and #22), plus a sandwich round pick (#33). Picks outside the top 10 are usually less than sure things. Out of those three picks, it would be difficult to project more than one of them as a future quality major leaguer. Clearing out your top 4 or 5 is going to devastate the system, especially one as top heavy as yours. But it may be worth it for Santana. You know, cleaning out the farm system or not...I think I'm leaning towards making this deal.

I like Tony Reali. A couple friends of mine have a pretty small weekly podcast about sports, maybe 100 or so listeners, but Reali was nice enough to come on the show and do an interview. He seems like a good guy.
