  1. I'm forever in your debt. That was really nice of you.
  2. McDonalds apple pie is the best non-homemade apple pie you can get in the entire world.
  3. Those are really cool.
  4. Does anybody here think they have a really good ear and could maybe identify what chords are being played in a song? I'd really like to know what chords are being played in song, but my ear's not so great. The song is First Sight by These United States by the way.
  5. Writers like Paul Daugherty though? Dusty Baker gets criticism not only because he disagrees with the general stat community, but because his theories generally collide with what other managers are doing in this era. Washington's Manny Acta and Kansas City's Trey Hillman have recently espoused the merits of OBP in interviews. As far as Joe Morgan, he says some silly things because he gets information second hand. He never managed and as a player, he did as much to contribute to winning teams as any player in history. I would point out that most of the criticism of Adam Dunn comes from sportswriters and a certain tenured radio broadcaster. The front office themselves have never seen fit to trade Dunn. Watching what Baker actually does in Cincinnati will be very interesting. I don't have any kind of problem with not liking Dusty Baker as a manager, or Joe Morgan as an announcer. It's just when people puff out their chest and pretend they know more about baseball than these guys. Does that make any sense? Like, I hate Isiah Thomas, but the guy knows more about basketball than I do. I think that sort of makes sense.
  6. Ok, this has to stop. Dusty Baker and Joe Morgan know more about baseball than we do, guys.
  7. I died laughing at the barbecue/surgeon skit. "They're performing surgery at a barbecue" -something county police report. hahaha.
  8. No, oh my god, stop it. Whatever games the Seattle Seahawks may have won because Josh Brown was on their roster, they would have won with any other kicker.
  9. Don't look now, but the Rangers have collected points in 11 straight and are only four points out of first in the Atlantic. What's going to be awesome is that something like their final 8 games are against divisional opponents.
  10. Ball Four is the greatest sports book ever written.
  11. Original skin! Yay nostalgia!
  12. Oh come on, Viginica is funny. Andy saying "I don't even know what that is" was hysterical.
  13. I thought Andy Samberg was really funny last night, especially during the Viginica skit. Honestly though, I liked the Tina Fey episode.
  14. Now that the Jets have Kris Jenkins, Sedrick Ellis was a pretty retarded pick. What Kris Jenkins doesn't do though, is play OT, and Anthony Clement does, and he sucks dick, so the Jets take Carl Nicks, who Bill Callahan coached at Nebraska.

    Bad Candy

Those ones that look like pills and are white and pink. I forget what they're called. Gross as fuck.
  16. I'm a total Rape jinx.
  17. I'm cool with TaigaStar for now because of the Teenage Dirtbag avatar. As soon as that goes she sucks again.
  18. It's true. The last Met game I attended was the one where Jose Lima pitched and gave up a grand slam to Dontrelle Willis. We won this game though, on a walk-off HBP. Ezekiel Carreras is a BEAST. He robbed someone of a home run in the 9th, but I forget whom.
  19. Kawalimus could take it in the near future.
  20. In a couple hours I'm heading down to Port St. Lucie for tomorrow's Mets/Dodgers game. I'm really really really excited.
  21. That's the worst one anyway.
  22. Yeah, that's my favorite. Their old ad campaign (Guy-sitting-in-chair-bragging-about-good-credit-score) was boring and lame. These are funny.
  23. I fucking love these freecreditreport.com commercials
  24. And that list includes player "??" to boot.
  25. I don't think the dialogue complaint is really all that valid. In the 50's and 60's, dialogue was just as stylized, if in a different way. Hell, shakespeare's plays were stylized to a ridiculous degree sometimes. Then it became popular to use more real dialogue, but now some movies are going back to the over the top type. I don't see it as a better or worse thing, just a style thing.
