As someone else pointed out, I've never understood why every match has to have some angle, usually stupid. Can't it be sold as a real sport to some degree? Two guys fight not because one killed the other one's girlfriend or whatever the fuck, but just because the matchmakers put them together. Especially with a one hour show there just isn't time to properly develop every angle anyway.

Chuck isn't married unless it happened very recently. Heard he was dating Willa Ford for a while. At the last UFC he had a bottle-blond on each arm. Guy gets around.

Gain Ground is one of my favorite arcade games. The Genesis version isn't as good but it is still pretty fun.

Halverson was pretty sad. The dude is old and hasn't been fighting for long. Still I'd like to know if he really got hit in the head. When we went over backwards he seemed to be pretty ok then just flattened and crumbled after the knee. Hard to say where it hit him, could have been on the neck or lower side of the face, or could have been the shoulder. However if the other fighter was warned then I don't get it. You get warned for an illegal strike then win the fight because of it? Isn't that encouraging fighters to pull illegal shit?

I'm sure we'll never see Lutter again. Entertaining night, though the fights weren't great. Silva/Lutter was pretty good, shame Lutter exploded any goodwill UFC has towards him. Silva had a pretty bad strategy though - all kicks! The final lightweight fight was very good. Cro Cop and Rampage did what we expected, not great fights but two entertaining if very different personalities.

Who is uglier, Ashley or the rollerskate chick? Tough call. Ashley's whole body looks fake and she does have a manly face. Plus her "attitude" is annoying. Roller skate girl has the face of a 40-year-old that ran into a wall.

Finally listened to Iron Maiden's Brave New World after leaving it wrapped for 3 or 4 years. Pretty good. After Virtua XI I was pretty much done with new Maiden stuff but Bruce sounds re-energized, the music has some of the heavier, thicker sounds from X Factor along with more bass in the mix and the tunes are pretty catchy.

How do different playing surfaces affect play and what players and styles do they favor? I don't really know the difference between grass, clay and hardcourt.

So what is the story with Taker and ECW?

Sometimes it seems like WWE purposely tries to bury itself and produce an awful show. Tonight is one of those times. Does it really matter how people backstage feel? I've never heard of a company punishing guys so often for backstage bullshit while sabotaging their own product. They jobbed out two of the most popular guys on the roster on the same night. This can only lose fans. Its like they don't even want money any more.

I would probably start with Nihil. Nihil, Angst and Xtort are pretty similar in sound but I think Nihil has the widest range of music on it. Some crazy kind of funny songs, some horns, some more industrial Ministry-style tracks, etc. It covers the gamut of the Angst Nihil Xtort er pretty well. I'm looking forward to a remaster of Xtort. Nihil is mixed well but the volume levels on Xtort are low and the mix is very thin in general. I always have to turn my iPod up when it comes on.

Yeah, I'm thinking about staying up and watching this but I don't know, been going to bed earlier lately and don't want to throw my schedule completely off.

Rashad's kick wasn't really very impressive. I mean it was well-timed and hit right on the button but calling it a "high kick" is a bit generous. His opponent was a short troll and crouching over to boot. The result was spectacular but the kick itself was pretty mundane. Now Salmon's crane kick early in the first round...that was a thing of beauty!

So apparently KMFDM is releasing a bunch of older albums remastered. I believe there are a couple out already and Angst is up next. (Or maybe was just released) This would be a good time to try some KMFDM if you haven't. (I would probably start with Nihil) Or if you are familiar with KMFDM, you can help spread the love. I'm more of a metal guy than industrial/electronica/dance (whatever the fuck KMFDM is, I see them referred to as dance but IMO that is not really accurate at all) but I love me some KMFDM. For one thing I find it impossible not to smile at some of their lyrics.

WWE seems really big into punishing guys based on their "attitudes" and shit like that. I would figure hey, Punk is popular, put him out there and make some money. Right?
