via rotoworld; Curt Schilling told WEEI on Thursday he plans to become a free agent following the season because the Red Sox are not willing to negotiate a contract extension with him now or during the season. The Red Sox front office has hinted that they want to see how the 40-year-old pitches this year before committing more money to him and Schilling was reportedly told of their official stance Wednesday. There was speculation that he had been discussing a one-year extension worth $13 million. Like Schilling's retirement plans, this too could change.

Carlos Lee playing half his games in a park that caters to his power style could lead him to having an MVP caliber season (should the team make the playoffs).

I woke up today and weighed in at 197lbs. 89lbs of weight loss since starting this thread. I'd like to get down to 185lbs before I leave just so I can see I lost 100lbs since this thread began. I'm now averaging a loss in weight of 1.5lbs a day so it could very well happen.

I can't really damn somebody for committing suicide as I've been down the whole depression path before, but the one thing about this I don't agree with is he took that way out rather than looking for help and in the process left two young children without a father. I just hope the kids never saw him hanging.

CWM reproduced again and then turned into this

I think Isiah Thomas has traded away every first round pick the franchise will have until the NBA closes shop already.
-
I completely expect Chad Cordero to be traded after winning his arbitration case and getting a raise of about $4mill.

then ya, don't go any higher than 175lbs. I'm 5'11' 198lbs and still pretty flabby. You hit 190lbs at your height its not going to be good. Do military style crunches. Tuck your feet under something so those and your ass stay on the ground, from there cross your arms along the bottom of your rib cage in a fashion that you're holding an elbow with the opposite arm's hand. Lay back and then crunch up until your arms hit your thighs. You don't need to go all the way back down on your back, just until your shoulder blades touch the ground. Just keep doing them until you can't anymore...they get painful though.
-
by the way, are you doing any crunches? I ask because the gut is looking flabby and with your calorie intake I imagine alot of fat is being stored to the mid-section if you're just lifting weights and not doing crunches and things of that nature.

I don't ever want to see your bare legs again. That being said how tall are you? You don't want to add too much weight here unless you're trying for body builder magazine like looks. I'd say get to 175 and just tone like a motha'fucker.

In the book its explained that he couldn't enter the town. I imagine it was something like the ballplayers leaving the field in Field of Dreams.

When I was around 10-12 I lived off of Beef, Pork, and Shrimp Ramen Noodles along with free school lunch since my parents were on major welfare at the time.

there are still a few pitchers I'm shocked have not been grabbed as of yet.

I'm not quoting cabbageboy's post but it was reported in Boston during the end of the season that she actually left him. She just wasn't into it anymore.

Things that were left out of the film and were in the book

If they had gone by the book then the movie would have been 20min longer and about 10 times better. I'll get into what they left out of it tommorow.

every now and again I still dream that I'm a member of the original nWo with Hall and Nash and we go to Nitro bombed and unable to do anything of real use. The only dream I've ever had involving a member of TSM was one where I was back in high school and for some reason Incandenza was in my class. There was no real interaction between he and I in the dream. He was just sitting in the classroom.

Alfdogg is kind of a woman so I think the board's got it covered.

I thought you worked at a radio station. Those don't generally have bussiness trips for the DJs.

I just watched the Triple-H/Kevin Nash HIAC and to be honest I thought it was pretty damn enjoyable. Sure there weren't any major spots with people flying off the cell but I thought it was better for once that way. Coming off of so many where they all escaped the cell and fought on the roof before doing some sick bump, well it was nice to see the cell actually mean something. It also told a good story in my opinion although I didn't see a need for Foley (maybe he needed some money or maybe they just wanted some kind of bump into the cell which he did provide).

I could see A-Rod playing in either Los Angeles(Dodgers), San Fran, or Chicago (Cubs) next year if he doesn't stick in NY.

A-Train was one of three wrestlers I've been up close to. The man is huge and could be used as a good means of shade by normal sized people. I've also been around Kane and D-Von. D-Von was a prick.
