  1. I have a feeling that alot of you guys aren't getting the idea behind the finish to the I Quit match but it was perfectly done.
  2. Him being dead is kinda holding him back, too. It's grandpa that's dead. That IS Bob Orton. Junior is the one with Hep.
  3. In case you missed it AIM Chat room at TSMSLAM.
  4. Started a AIM chat. Invite yourself to TSMSLAM
  5. Snakes will be on demand by October. These type of shows are only good live because the trainwreck element is eliminated.
  6. I'll probably use my free credit PPV for this show just because it'll be a trainwreck and the I Quit match could be interesting.
  7. Mock her for her fashion sense. Mock her for her lousy selection of a husband. Mock her for lacking any evidence of singing talents. However, mocking her for putting on weight during a pregnancy is just complete stupidity. Let her live her white-trash existance. She fooled us all 8 years ago and is laughing her ass off to the bank.
  8. I guess I'll give my complete thoughts on the show on how I think they should do this... Opening Match ECW Title Extreme Rules Sabu Vs The Big Show *Pretty standard deal that’ll involve a table spot with Sabu and a couple chair shots but it’ll include Heyman, Bashams, Angle and RVD. I expect TBS to remain champion after a virtual non match because they can’t put the title off TBS just yet when a stronger TBS/Sabu match and a RVD/TBS match does more for ECW. Time: 8-10 minutes Mysterio Vs Chavo Guerrero *Mysterio is leaving for 6 months to recover from his injury and hopefully repair his integrity after the past 8 months involved in this ridiculous character and angle. Finish seems rather predictable but I would like them to have a straight 8-10 minute wrestling match before the obvious Vickie “betrayal”. I just fear what is to come now with Chavo. Just drop the Eddy shit and stick Chavo back with the Cruiserweights. Time: 8-10 minutes I Quit Mick Foley Vs Ric Flair *The most intriguing match on the card and it has nothing to do with the actual match itself but rather the booking schematic that will be crafted in probable intricate detail from Foley and to see how much Flair will go along with it. Foley has been calculating this entire storyline and the eventful blow-off for awhile. He even did a trial run for it with Ricky Steamboat. That shows dedication. Foley will try to emulate Funk in this match by making it a straight brawl but that doesn’t mean the classic Foley trademarks like thumbtacks, (flaming) Barbie and wired boards won’t be utilized. Im hoping they go with a creative finish here. Time: 15-18 minutes Bonus Match ? vs. ? *This is a extreme stretch and the only reason I suggest it is because they still have time to fill and it’s not like they haven’t placed bonus matches on shows before. It should be a US title match but I wouldn’t count out a Undertaker impromptu match against someone like Kennedy or whatever. Time: 5-8 minutes World Title King Booker Vs Batista *It should be short and indecisive. Booker was originally just a heel transitional champion but due to a complete lack of star power on Smackdown, they need to stretch the program out for at least another month. I’ll expect Batista to destroy Booker swiftly and that’ll lead into a overturned decision with Booker retaining via DQ. Crowd will shit on it but it’ll give Booker more heat and give the program additional life. Time: 5 minutes. DX Vs McMahons *Speaking of stretching things out, this supposedly is the climax to that entire Vince/Shawn ordeal we have painfully suffered through since last November. Has a feud ever lasted this sustained without any significant storyline advancement beyond the re-introduction of a stable from 6 years ago in an attempt to boost merchandise sales. While the whole storyline has failed to evolve from whatever original intent had, it should end tonight. At least the McMahon involvement. These matches are always the same and they haven’t been worthwhile in some time. Umaga/HHH will get set up here, where I expect Umaga to neutralize HHH and leaves Shawn to defend himself. This was Shawn’s war to begin with and it should end by his methods. They alluded that DX might have someone in their camp but I don’t think anything actually comes out of that unless one of the S.S members turns on McMahon and assists DX in the win. Time: 18-24 minutes. Hulk Hogan Vs Randy Orton *One man desperately needs a win for credibility and the other needs, well nothing. Hogan stands to gain absolutely zilch from this from a personal standpoint except one thing. He can put Orton and himself over at the same time and that is a rarity for Hogan to accomplish (intentionally at least). Hogan’s knee injury is the perfect justification to put over Orton for tonight. Hogan gets booked strong for fighting with a severe injury, Orton gets repute for living up to his name and actually beating a legitimate legend on a grand scale. By doing this it’ll accomplish much more but as always it is up to Hogan. Time: 10-12 minutes WWE Title Edge Vs John Cena *I think a key aspect of this match is the presence of Lita and that’s why I think it vital they work a spot with Lita getting ejected from ringside because it accomplishes a variety of things such as a big pop and gives this match a new story to work with. Creates a alternate subplot for Edge to work with here. Likely Cena goes over here and Edge uses Lita’s ejection as the catalyst for his lost and this subsequently sets up the TLC match at Unforgiven. Time: 12-15 minutes The strongest match on the card will clearly be from Foley and Flair. I predict this match will get insane praise from smarks despite not being as a strong as indicated.
  9. It doesn't have to be clean. They can work a spot where Orton tricks Brooke into hitting her father in the knee or just generally heel shenanigans and Orton wins that way. Hogan can look strong for fighting with a severe knee injury, save a potential return match with Hogan healthy and gives Orton heat for taking out Hogan. It allows each men to go over. Hogan by toughing it out against the odds and Orton for delivering his promise to "end" Hulkamania. Hogan has put over people before if he knows he'll get something out of it. As for Foley/Flair, the match itself isn't interesting but the booking will be. I'm curious to see exactly what Foley has in store for this. He planned this entire storyline out dating back to 2004 with Steamboat in ROH. This was the storyline he pleaded to use with Vince. Putting over how important it was for him. Foley must have something big in mind for this. It's rare to see a political battle over who does the job which makes this whole thing even slightly curious.
  10. Some of the best memories I have of my father is our annual trips to the Bengals game. We were season ticket holders (1991-2000) and we witnessed years of agony and complete futility but those drives down to the stadium and walking to the old Riverfront Stadium were always special to me. We always stayed for the entire duration of the game, regardless if the score was 42-10. We didn't get alot of great memories from the gameplay itself but it was just great.
  11. Marv, HD means nothing. It doesn't improve a shows artistic quality. HD was a novelty once but not anymore. Stop acting like it's meaningful.
  12. Johnny Ace hires the talent. Vince was probably told that Francine was a ECW star and was cheap and Vince obviously hasn't had problems with her before so he goes "okay". The weird thing is that Francine worked the ECW show last year and yet Vince apparently just noticed her backstage for the first time. It's nothing but his obvious senility.
  13. You are overreacting. It's a symbolic gesture and nothing more. It's not like he signed a multi million dollar deal. It isn't a "certain" team. If he signed a one day contract with Baltimore with the intent to retire, then it doesn't make sense but it's the team he played over the vast majority of his career and will always be invisioned in that team's colors.
  14. WWE is clueless with the decision to place ECW's first PPV as a brand in Augusta. Okay, so Vince isn't happy with NYC's reactions and he wants to "punish" them? Fine. Still means there are over a hundred better locations like Chicago, Milwaukee, Dayton, Philadelphia or Buffalo.
  15. **I’ll give all the new shows of interest a 3 week trial period to decide if I’ll stick with them* Sunday 7-11 SNF DVR: Family Guy Monday 8:00-11:30 Raw and MNF DVR: Heroes**, Prison Break, How I Met Your Mother, Standoff** and Studio 60** Tuesday 8:00 Gilmore Girls 9:00 House 10:00 Boston Legal DVR: FNL, Veronica Mars, Smith**, Knights** and Help Me** Wednesday 8:00 Jericho** 9:00 Criminal Minds 10:00 The Nine** DVR: One Tree Hill, 30 Rock**, Justice** and Kidnapped** Thursday 8:00 Earl/Office 9:00 OC 10:00 Shark** DVR: Six Degrees** Friday DVR: Smackdown, Numb3rs
  16. Not even close.
  17. It makes perfect sense. Alot of athletes do these things. He felt tainted that he retired as a Bronco and wanted to officially retire as a 49er. It's also just to hype his retirement ceremony in November.
  18. I have a feeling they will do the "Manager gets thrown out of ringside" spot with Lita about 5 minutes into the match.
  19. Remember when SummerSlam was usually the best wrestling PPV of the year and made WrestleMania look like the secondary show? This year's offering probably won't be able to match WM22 or at the most will just equal it.
  20. The problem with KOAB’s card is that it is complete fantasy booking. Hogan/Austin is a total wet dream right now and there’s a lot of alternate avenues to explore instead of forcing a political nightmare. If you can lock it down and avoid the headache, it's foolish not to go with it. Although I've always felt holding out on this match for another show instead of Mania gives WWE an additional big buyrate. Batista/Undertaker is a good No Mercy main event but Batista doesn’t need a rub for being the one to end Taker’s streak and Taker being in the Smackdown main event is 2 giant steps backwards. Taker has never been a particularly good draw. He is ideal for the No Mercy type main events because those shows draw the same general fan base and he is easily credible enough to slot in a main event. Carlito is still blossoming as a face and while he does have potential in him, it’s not time yet for him and there isn’t a chance in hell of Triple H avoiding the main event unless he gets a peak match and that isn’t Lashley. John Cena is Vince’s golden boy. Cena either main events or is at least in a Raw title match. Placing him in the MITB is a tremendously bad move because MITB is designed as a stunt fest and that’s not Cena’s playground and same goes for Orton’s involvment. Matt is a complete jobber and placing him into a match with 3 other legit main eventers (Cena, Orton, Rey) is a joke. Kane/Umaga isn’t a stretch for Mania. I can go with the Smackdown Tag (If they even remember it exists), Doane/Shawn match and even the Smith/Nitro match as they stand to be probable although Doane/Shawn is better suited for a full year from now as opposed to just 8 months away. Shawn might be hesitant to work a virtual rookie at such a big stage and might push for a more high-profile name like Mysterio. CM Punk…CW? He isn’t built as a CW talent and is getting pushed as a pure wrestler. Vince actually knows who CM Punk is, which is more then we can say for most of the CW talents employed. It seems a lot of people just put names together and think “oooh” instead of having actual reasons for it. If I wanted to book a WM of my dreams, I wouldn’t have Orton or Batista sniffing a high profile match but it has to happen. I even see some people throwing the Rock into this show and we all know this isn’t going to occur. Fantasy Booking is what it is, fantasy and there’s nothing wrong with that but if you are trying to pinpoint what the WWE would and should do, it helps to think with logic and find ways to get the best of what they want and bridge it to a more appetizing offering that some of us would like. As a fan I wouldn't be against KOAB's card or others here (with some obvious exceptions), I just think cards like mine that can blend reality with logical reasoning and still offering the general fanbase what it would want is better.
  21. Do you think Foley is disappointed in the Flair storyline? Foley has obviously been wanting this storyline for a very long time. He even gave it a trial run in ROH with Steamboat. It seems as if he had prepared this entire program in detail months ago except while he has creative clout, Flair has essentially been restricted because of morons in the back. While Foley has done a decent enough job with this, it still feels flat. Maybe it’s because Foley is basically recycling what worked 10 years ago and just throwing in additional insider rhetoric to make it appear that much more edgy and unconventional when it’s really not. I don’t doubt that Foley has big ideas for SummerSlam and would love to have a successful hardcore style match with Flair on his mantle of accolades, it seems the interest from the niche this program was designed for just doesn’t care whatsoever. The storyline offered a lot of potential initially but it’s been a disappointment.
  22. That was a horrible card for many reasons 1) 16 matches? 12 is generally the maximum for a 4 hour show. You basically force an additional hour to be included and shrink the match times within 5-12 minutes each. 2). Hogan/Shawn is a monumential waste as they milked that puppy out and Hogan doesn't want to put up with Shawn's crap again. Hogan gets one program a year and he isn't doing a repeat. 3). You included Vito twice. Vito will probably out of the company by next april. 4). You inserted Candice stating that all other contenders will be gone but only Lita and Trish are currently leaving. That would indicate you are neglecting Melina and Victoria. While Candice has been a good character, Melina is the obvious choice against Mickie at Mania 5). Umaga/Doane is criminally dumb as Doane is made for MITB match or a upper-midcard match as he's one of the brighter stars of the future. 6). Johnny Nitro has been the IC champion for the past 2 months and been attached with the WWE champion and slight presence in the main event. Masters lost the only reason he had a job. He'll be back in the gym by next April. 7). Henry is out for 6-8 months and he traditionally takes extra time to recover. 8). 2 three way random tag team matches with no purpose. 9). Match placement. Assuming they did a Hogan match, it's death to put it before the main event slot. You have to space that out. 10). A big waste of John Cena. Vince is high on Cena and while he does fancy himself to be a draw, he knows he needs his #1 guy in a high profile match. 11). The MITB match offers one good bumper in the entire thing. A staple of MITB is acrobatic displays(only Carlito comes close to fitting the bill) and the company is loaded with people capable of it. 12). MnM isn't getting back together because WWE is high on Nitro and want him to be a singles star. 13). It's a card loaded with 3-4 realistic matches and 10 obviously slapped together matches that aren't sensible (which is the usual direction of WWE anyways). It seems the general consensus is that Edge/HHH, Orton/Batista, Benoit/Undertaker and Punk/Angle are the neccesary matches and everything else can get moved around.
  23. Yeah, lose respect for him giving himself more attention to push him to more roles in Hollywood. Doing Celebrity Duets is hardly worse then during I Love The 90's.
  24. Khali is already out the door and Im assuming that they are refering to Trish who is a more notable name then Khali.
