Yes, the Pirates problems were due to the GM. Not because of the owner who refuses to spend money. If voters can vote to spend money to build arenas, why can't they vote to take over teams? Actually, what I really want to happen is... I want a new law to be passed saying that if a team has not had a winning record or made the post season in the last decade, public money should not be given to the team. The Pirates look like they have one of the most beautiful parks in Majors, yet an owner who won't open up his wallet.

Well I can't see Bettman stepping down or getting fired at the end of the season.
