...such a bullshit false start penalty
-
Honestly bro, I really don't care if we win by one fuckin point...a win is a win. Seeing OU today has got me a bit worried for the shootout
-
Eh...the first one I could see as pass interference, the second.. well, it was a blatant offensive interference call. Leave it to being in the college pick 'em to make me actually root for OU

Hadn't seen it in the past few pages but.. Boulware for Babin has gone down.

Meh..provides a place to not only talk about Michigan's drop but the overall rankings for the week, which I think would be a nice sub-thread. Keep the schedule talk in one thread, the rankings in another. Texas' drop? Eh..yeah, they played horribly against Ark St, but with the amount of players suspended or hurt, doesn't surprise me to see them play like they did. TCU is going to be a tough one, and even with a win over the frogs, I don't see us moving up all that much.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007
Broward83 replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
So Punk gets the belt for a month, then quickly jobs it back to Morrison. Maybe THAT'S why people were/are upset with Punk getting the title now because everyone figured it'd be a hot-shot deal that meant nothing... -

Because maybe it's something to promote general health to the black population? In Houston, they have ads similar to that on the bus system here. Haven't seen anything like a billboard however...

This is the first time Chamberlain has pitched a full season of baseball. The Yankees need him for their playoff push, but they need to restrict his workload as not to burn him out too soon. Thus they have an guideline for using him that Joe Torre can follow. I would vote for both given a chance. Biggio should have no problem with his 3,000 hits. Bagwell might have a bit of trouble given his relative lack of counting stats. I hope voters look at his many top 10 MVP finishes. I agree with you on both, my fear is that voters will only remember Bagwell for playing at Minute Maid Park and not remember that he put up alot of his stats while playing in The Astrodome.

Having just seen them on ESPN: Can you go further into explaining the "Joba Rules" along with maybe explaining just how they came to be and why the Yankee's allow it. Edit: Figured I'd throw in something extra: Biggio and Bagwell...are both future hall of famer's and what would the chances of either getting in on the first ballot be?

Meh, Texas begins their year off the same way they tend to start off every year. Small college at DKR. It'll be an easy win for us and depending on how things go in the first half, it might allow us to sit some of our starters in hopes of giving them extra rest before we've got to take on TCU. I've always been a bit of a fanboy for Notre Dame, and I hope they beat Tech, but...honestly I don't see them doing so well. Maybe .500.. maybe just under, whatever the case is they'll be plenty of fodder out there for why Notre Dame should just pack it in. ACC: Miami Big East: West Virginia Big Ten: Wisconsin Big XII: Texas Pac 10: USC (but I see Cal giving them a run) SEC: Alabama National Title Game: USC v. Texas Heisman Trophy Winner: Someone from West Virginia. Surprise BCS appearance getter: No one. I'm sure Hawaii will have a great season, but they'd have to go undefeated and I don't see it happening. Now if this were based off the NCAA game engine, then Hawaii for Nat'l Champions, FTW. Biggest flops: Oklahoma, LSU, Penn State

Alright...since he's given his plea and nothing is scheduled until December 10th, can we put a temporary lock on this thread? All its become is a place where people are taking pot-shots at the other for their personal stance on this case that would be better suited for the CS. Maybe when something of note happens, a mod can post the news bite in here, allow a bit of discussion but then close it back.

Saturday is a no go for me. My g/f's coming up to spend Labor Day weekend with me in Houston and at 7:30, I'll more than likely be at Robertson Stadium watching the Houston Dynamo. The Tuesday draft time was all fine for me...maybe one the following Monday or maybe this Wednesday?

The OAO Thread For The Twentieth Annual SummerSlam Games

Was I the only one that was underwhelmed when Trips came out? I mean...all the build up.. all the hype.. and we get the lame "time to play the game" theme? -
Just because I spent the last 4 hours at a bar discussing it...

Move over Ninja Warrior, the King is back

It sucks he got DQ'd on the third stage, but it looks like he should've been DQ'd on the 2nd stage when he leaps onto the foam pad. If you look at it, it seems his foot dips into the water and from what I've seen on past shows.. even that little bit would've counted as a failure for him. Seeing this reminded me of Viking, that ESPN showed during the Spring like a year or two ago. Anyone know if that's still going on? -
Wow, I thought that's what the chat was for... I'm sorry I let you down. I've never thought I'd find so many people on a site devoted to wrestling who were so uninterested in it. I think its because most of the people here while they do watch it, don't really care for it much anymore and have moved on to sports, current events and other aspects of the forums. That and from what I've gathered, the only reason the wrestling portion is on top is because the admin wants the busier part of the forums up top, in order to attract more web-hits or something.

Easier and safer to go to TNApics.com and look in Hard Justice. The look is there. It's not going to get over at all but it's actually got a nice little Japanese flair to it that I like. Like something The Great Muta might have been wearing. You are usually tempting fate when you do a google image search anyway. Dustin Rhodes: Kabuki Warrior

You know, that'd probably have a better response from me if I even knew who the fuck you were referencing.

I love a sport where the results of unrelated games constitute any sort of argument. By "love," I mean, "wouldn't mind seeing the eradication of." Shit is allowed to happen in any other goddamned organized sports league, what makes minor league football the exception? The mere fact that this stupid Texas dick-waving is rooted in a dispute about who was selected by coaches to play in a championship game kind of underlines how insignificant college football is (or rather, should be), anyway. vivalaultra: now in soccer form! Wait for it.... ...wait for it.... ...wait for it.... ...wait for it.... ...wait for it.... Nope. Still don't give a fuck about Czech and his perceived "greatness."
