Greatest WWF Matches of the 90's Tourney

Bullshit. You get 3D over by having them realize that LAX is slowly becoming a face team that is embodying the market that both TNA and WWE are going for. By putting 3D into more of a heel mindset, you get both Devon and Bubba back into the roles of two guys that went out and attacked the fans, that jumped down people's throats and didn't give a fuck what you thought because god dammit, they were the fuckin Dudley Boys and they're simply going to beat the respect out of you. You don't need to keep throwing them into gimmick matches to get 'em over, you throw a singles match between the two teams in there once and awhile. Homicide VS Bubba.. Hernandez VS Devon.. after a bit of time, switch the matches up to freshen things up. By putting them in re-tread street fights and "ghetto fights", you wind up burning out the fans on two teams that can have a good match with good heat if you let them build it up. Granted, part of that takes Bubba not being a bickering little baby and give LAX their due.. As far as "tables VS pure wrestling" ... TNA fans loved the pure wrestling of the X-Division, of others that can link a match together and make it mean something. Look at Joe/Angle.. there weren't tables and spotfests.. you had two guys WRESTLING (OMGWTF11!!~ right?) and those fans ate it up. So don't say that the only way to get people over in TNA is with gimmick matches when its been proven otherwise.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

So yeah, does anyone have the chat wrap of Randy on ESPN.com? -
So, today at 11:30cst, we get to see the ESPN branded AFL start up on ABC. With ESPN putting their programming weight behind the AFL, I think this is finally the year the league can really take off and get more recognition for the type of game it is. Why? Well, ESPN is behind it and American's tend to not really care about most sports unless ESPN is either covering it or pushing it as a big thing for people to care about. I know it might not be the best example, but look at hockey. When it was shown on ESPN, people cared a bit more.. people went out of their way to catch a game. Now? Hardly anyone knows when their team is playing or where they can catch the game? (Versus? Seriously.. if you don't have digital cable.. you ain't seein the NHL..) I think with ESPN getting behind the AFL the lay sports fan will be a bit more apt to follow the sport and maybe pick a team or two to root for. So, enough of my rambling... This week's schedule... Dallas New York Sun., 12:30 Chicago Kansas City Sun., 12:30 Grand Rapids Colorado Sun., 3:00 Las Vegas Austin Sun., 4:00 San Jose Los Angeles Sun., 10:00 all times eastern

Jado and Gedo, if I remember used to tag in ECW as Team FMW from time to time. Don't know if they've stayed over in Japan since then or have been doing more tours of the US since ECW's closure. Tag belts would be good because maybe you could get RVD/Sabu or Dreamer/Sandman to win them from a New Breed team so that even though they've got the worse record of wins/losses, the title win gives them a bit more credibility over the NB. Vickie as GM solidifes this whole "Smackdown = Hispanic Market" because I'm sure this is going to turn into some fuckin novella by the time its done with. Thanks for posting these Kreese. Always read 'em but hardly leave any feedback.

Tracy's already been ripped by some ESPN guys. On ATH the other day, pretty much everyone ripped into him for not wanting to go Naw'lins, saying he was being selfish and that if he's so worried about everything he should just hire personal security / bodyguards to protect him. Also saying that the NBA does so much for him that when the NBA asks for just one thing to help out with the league, he shouldn't be a selfish, snobby prick and just go to Naw'lins. Granted, 30mins prior on JRiB, the panel backed McGrady.. so yeah.

I don't know what to think of this. I mean, if they're going to be splitting up the roster and cater to certain audiences, then why do we get stuck with an ECW that is nothing of what we ever remember ECW being? The crowd for ECW is still ravid to see it.. (yeah, fans at Hammerstein stir shit up.. but hey, they're still showing up..) so why not bring back an older style ECW? Smackdown being the brand that has more "wrestling" or lucha to it I love and RAW could stay the brand that is more or less one huge telenovela. WWE Japan.. WWE Europe? I don't know.. isn't Japan too saturated with brands as it is that even New Japan is finding it hard to make the ends meet? Also, if they do this.. then how would this all parlay into their actions with TNA or with stars like Brock or Sean O'Haire? I would hope this all works out, but I have the feeling that it'll flop hard

PK, all you really have to do for the game is adjust the sliders accordingly. Just drop the player power level and maybe raise a few of the CPU stats and the game will start to feel more real. The "GRD" over the Monster, I haven't come across but don't let a few things deter you from the game. IMO, I feel its a solid baseball game and insanely better than MVP 07 which I bought also when it came out.

Fucking beautiful game. I agree with Mole, the sliders need to be tweaked to make it a bit more realistic. I love Biggio, but no way he pops 3 home runs in a single game..

It'd be more than 3, you know Austin would go into a stunner-frenzy and rack up the points
-
If the E! News rumor mill is right.. ...when will people pull the gun on picking up Austin?

Could just go to RF Video to find the Raven/Dreamer shit. I know its not DVD, but its good none the less.

I understand their positions. I know that Taker has been a cornerstone of the company and that he's brought so much money to the company that damn near anything he does is brushed aside and that the man is infallible. I also understand that CM Punk is (atleast to the WWE / WWE Fans) an up and coming star that has the potential to be a spark that brings another boom to the WWE and if pushed correctly he can become a huge star. The problem I have with it is that we all laugh and joke when Taker wants to change matches and use his "stroke" to better himself, yet we want to throw ourselves into a fucking hissy-fit with how Punk went about doing basically what Taker has done. So what if Punk thinks he's better than most people in WWE? He's got the talent to prove it and obviously, his talent is enough to make other cornerstones of the company fear for their spot because of it. So call me fuckin stupid if you want, but I call bullshit on the fact that a billion-dollar company is being run like a fuckin high school clique.
-
So what really gives Taker the right to change shit? Sure, I know he's been around for fuckin ever, but if you're not supposed to bitch about jobbing, why do we glorify Taker being able to say: "I'm not really feeling it..." but get pissed over Punk standing up for himself about jobbing out when he's got fans cheering for him and buying his shirts?

Okay, if ECW could pay the fees.. I'm more than sure that TNA could pay for 'em as well..

Question: TNA is in Spike. Spike is a Viacom company, much like MTV and the like... Why hasn't Dixie looked at partnering up with Viacom's music division and get some actual music for the stars of TNA? I mean, to me... despite all of what ECW was.. it was the music I connected with which in turn got me into the wrestlers of ECW. Enter Sandman plays and I think of Sandman. I hear "Man in the Box" I can't help but think of Tommy Dreamer. So when will TNA make the push to get real music made for its stars?

IT's really comes down to how you want to play the game. As with any type of "GTA-esque" game with the open enviroment, you can either try to blast thru everything and finish it in about 10-15 hours (or shorter.. depending on how you skill up), or it can take you a whole hell of a lot longer due to wanting to skill up your five cores. I'm having fun right now with the rocket launcher and grenade launcher, working on boosting up my explosives skill. Also, if you're into the whole "must gain every achievement", then the game will take you much, much longer.. what with all the agility and driving races along with the kill types you can perform.

Seeing the success of the "all-time MLB" tournament is going, would anyone be up to running one for the NBA? I mean, how would any of the Bulls teams do against a Rockets team backed by Hakeem? Could the Bad Boys of Detroit keep up the pace with the chaotic Suns? Just an idea..
-
That's how you know this shit is fantasy.... Anyway, was surprised to see the Astros win in the fashion they did as alot of the other series' have been going longer. '27 Yanks will be a tall order.. but I'll stay with my hometown and hope that Bag's post-season revival will carry on.
