Watching ESPN last night I see that the Texans are thinking of trying to get Plummer to come to Houston? Why? Seriously.. I know the team wasn't that great, but to finish out at 6-10 after the abyssmal season we had the year before is great. A couple of those games if we eliminate a penalty here or there or go for broke with 58 seconds left we might've actually finished at .500 this year. I assume to get Jake, we'd have to give up a few players or picks and I don't see how that would be beneficial to us seeing as how we'd still have a shit OLine that couldn't protect Jake. Hearing talk about trying to draft AP just seems more like an appeasement move at this point than drafting for need to me.. we've got a good two back system with Dayne and Taylor. I know drafting a lineman with the pick would have everyone in Houston groaning again.. but without a solid left tackle or guard.. any QB we throw back there will just wind up on their back.

So as it stands, its 27-21 Saints. Last week it was another double "20" game with the Giants/Eagles. The AFC has had some pretty bad games these two weeks... Now.. with how poorly the NFC was this year in contrast to the AFC.. Are the AFC games "terrible" because of a lack of focus or because AFC teams are just "tougher" than NFC teams or are the NFC games "great" because of great offenses or because the NFC teams aren't as "strong" as AFC teams and thus, allow for a higher scoring game?

During the replay of the pass break up...did the chicks shirt say "Fuck da Eagles" or "Pluck da Eagles"?

I don't go near the Texans' message board for fear of my IQ dropping a few points. As much as I love Houston (born an raised)... we're a fuckin fickle ass city that at times, makes LA seem more of a "team" city than we are. Rockets are putting together a good run in the NBA.. do you see anyone show up to the games? Hell no. Astros start winning a stretch of games.. anyone showing up to Minute Maid? Nope.. well, unless Roger's pitching. ..if we trade David... and that's "IF".. then I'd hope we'd get a couple of picks for him to help us shore up the O-Line and maybe use a pick on another DE or an LB to get Kailee Wong the hell off the Texans. If we're going to keep him.. then.. as much as I hate to think that we'd have to burn such a high pick on an OL-men.. well.. so be it. The guy needs a line to protect him and to help out whatever RB du jour trots out onto the field for the day. Even if we had Vince Young, the guy would've gotten killed behind our pourous line and the reactions to our losses would be worse. Only thing that I blame Carr for is his inconsistencies in the passing game. One play he'll nail a wide out in perfect stride and the next, he'll just lob it up for a DB to snatch up. Of course, I'm sure some of that same blame has to go to our coordinators for not giving Carr much slack on the leash before they just have him hand the ball off and dink n dunk the ball for 3-4 yds every play..

Damn, I go to sleep with Houston losing and wind up finding out they pulled out the win. As happy as I am with how my team's playing.. we're not going to win it all this year as long as we have Battier on the team. Why? No Coach K "name" player has done excellent in the league, nor have they gone on to win the NBA championship.
