It may be not that noticeable now, but will be in the future. Especially if you get the 64 bit Windows. When more programs come out that utilize both cores, it will be much more noticeable. I don't think he would want to upgrade again in a year or two.

I'm still stuck with a Pentium 4 cause I dont feel like fucking around and buying a new motherboard/processor combo and having to buy new RAM, so a Quad Core sounds interesting. Anyways, get the Core 2 Duo. I'd go with Core 2 Duo over AMD 2x 64

The L.A. County Coroner has determined that Pimp C's death was due to complications stemming from sleep apnea and an accidental overdose of prescibed codeine. Despite previous reports that Pimp C died of natural causes, according to TMZ, the Port Arthur rapper had a pre-existing sleeping disorder that made it hard for him to breathe. Combined with his codeine consumption, it proved to be deadly. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter explained Pimp C's death to the Houston Chronicle. "[With] sleep apnea, you stop breathing. Coupled with a medication that suppresses your respiratory abilities, you end up with an accidental death." Pimp C (aka Chad Butler) who was one half of seminal Southern rap group UGK, along with Bun B, often rhymed about drinking "Sizzurp" - an illegal beverage whose main ingredient includes Codeine. In 2000, rap innovator DJ Screw, also died from a heart attack attributed to a codeine overdose. Last year Houston rapper Big Moe, 33, also died of a heart attack which many believed to be connected to "Sizzurp." Pimp C died on December 4 at only 33 years-old. He was found dead in his bed at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood.

I was speaking of non-apple computers. I seriously hate apple. All their shit's over priced. Fuck em.
-
For what you're getting, it's a ripoff. The computer I built for less than $500 would be a $1000+ Dell (or a $2000 Apple). If you're building a desktop it's true, but the same isn't true if you're getting a laptop.

He caught it. It was a fucking amazing catch.

I seriously hate this thread because every time I look through the main page, I see this damn thread title and it makes me hungry.

Sen. Arlen Specter isn't satisfied with the NFL's answers about its Spygate investigation and said it's still possible the New England Patriots cheating scandal could result in Senate hearings. Specter, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sunday reiterated comments he made Friday in which he questioned NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's investigation into the spying allegations and his decision to destroy video evidence uncovered by the league earlier this season. ADVERTISEMENT "There are a lot of suspicious circumstances. And I'm not prepared to make any accusations," Specter said Sunday morning on CNN's "Late Edition." "I want to talk to commissioner Goodell. He has agreed to come in to talk to me. But there are a lot of questions which need to be answered." Specter referred to a story in Sunday's editions of the New York Times in which former prosecutors questioned the thoroughness of the league's investigation. It took no more than 12 days to complete, and allowed the Patriots to decide what material in violation of league rules it turned over, the Times said. "People are implying that this is some type of cover up," Goodell said Sunday on ESPN's "Mike and Mike in the Morning" show. "I think it's exactly the opposite. We were the ones who brought these facts out to light. We were the ones who took the unprecedented discipline to send a very strong message to people -- don't violate the rules." The comments were made hours before the Patriots played the New York Giants in the Super Bowl in Glendale, Ariz. Early this season, Goodell fined New England coach Bill Belichick $500,000 and docked the team $250,000 and a first-round draft pick after the Patriots were accused of videotaping New York Jets defensive coaches as they signaled to players. On Saturday, the Boston Herald reported that an unidentified source said a member of the Patriots' video staff taped the St. Louis Rams' last walkthrough before they played in the 2002 Super Bowl. The Patriots beat the favored Rams the next day 20-17 for their first NFL title. Specter said he questioned why Matt Walsh, who did video work for the Patriots during that time, was not interviewed as part of the investigation. Specter said he believes there were holes in Goodell's investigation of the allegations and plans to call him Monday. "The integrity of football is very, very important, and it's especially important in the context of the special status which the NFL enjoys from their antitrust exemption," Specter said. "They have a duty to be sure that there is integrity."

Don't know if it's already posted. How much is the former WWE star set to get? - Dave Meltzer of yahoo.com is reporting Brock Lesnar is due to get $250,000 guaranteed with a $200,000 win bonus, making him the highest paid athlete on the card even over the main eventers fighting for the UFC Heavyweight Title. His opponent Frank Mir has $40,000 guaranteed with a $40,000 win bonus. - Another interesting tidbit as Brock Lesnar is only the second man in Nevada combat sport history to require 4XL fighting gloves. The other man is 7'2 K-1 kickboxing champion Hong Man Choi.

? He was trying to punch him, but Mir swung his legs around, pushed Brock to the ground and put a kneebar in.
