I figured this is as good a place as any to put this...
AJ Burnett threw 50 pitches today, and has already worked his curveball back into his rotation. He is supposed to pitch simulated batting practice later in the week. The Marlins, doctors, and AJ expect him back for July 1.
This is gonna be huge for the Marlins. There are plenty here who already know, but for those who don't...AJ has probably the best stuff in the whole Marlins rotation. He lead the majors in complete games two years ago and was towards the top in shutouts. Hence the injury, as Torborg threw his arm off. It's going to be like acquiring a huge free agent for the stretch run.
