  1. No need to wait friend. The second one has GSP/Penn.
  2. In my memory Buck Martinez was a great color announcer. All this Varitek "professor" talk has me wanting to reach for the remote. Ugh.
  3. For whatever its worth, I find the Vampire Weekend song on the Nick and Norah OST to be their best song yet. I like the whole soundtrack, actually. "How to Say Goodbye" by Paul Tiernan was a night pleasant surprise.
  4. I just found out today that I have been overpaying my car payment by about $23 every month for a few years now... not sure how I screwed that up. Anyway - I don't have to make a payment for the next two months which means an extra $700 for the budget. Made my day.
  5. Lucid Dreams? Or is more of it out there/leaked? If so - point me in the right direction.
  6. Oops... missed this originally. Being a bunch of faggots never hurt Franz Ferdinand, btw.
  7. Yeah, they are looking damn good in the movie. Cera totally too there in the movie. As for Cera playing himself... yeah, a little. But like it's been said, not totally. Although some of the awkward Michael Cera type lines were my favorite parts. It wasn't the character in total, though.
  8. Got tickets to a sneak preview of this tonight. Very good movie. Yes, it's a bit on the chick flick side but Michael Cera is amazing as usual and there is a pretty good soundtrack. Baruchel plays a good sleazebag and all of the gay bandmates are hilarious. I'd go see it this weekend if you get the chance.
  9. I was just checking MMAJunkie's rumors section and found out for the first time that there are two PPVs in January, 93 in Dublin and 94 (GSP/Penn)... So at this point it's totally unclear what cards Lyoto/Silva and potentially Henderson/Franklin are on. Shit.

    Online Poker

Well - I played a lot at the beginning without really knowing what I was doing. I started getting better at poker in general and ended up getting my profit back to about even. Then I won about $500 by cashing in an FTOPS event and got my bankroll to around $1000. I bought a subscription to pokerxfactor.com and ended up learning a ton of strategy there, including pretty much a master course in SnG strategy. I started using the strategy and winning at the $36 and $60 turbo level. Then I won $8000 by taking 2nd in a $216 MTT. This allowed me to move up levels big time in the SnG ranks. I was still winning a lot of money on the SnGs but not so much on the MTTs. I actually had people rail me in my games sometimes because people knew who I was. It was sort of nuts. Once you know proper SnG strategy they actually sort of play themselves.

    Online Poker

Oh, man... old thread. Last year I ended up getting pretty up there... I was playing SnGs on FTP at the highest levels at winning. I was usually in 4 $216-$335 at once...sometimes played the $560 Turbos as well. I completely lost the value of money. I routinely had over $2000 out on the tables at one time. It was bad news. Stories like this usually end up with someone broke but I ended up cashing out and self-banning myself up around $7000 (FTP: Mike Legend 24 on Sharkscope if you think I'm piling on bullshit). I was just spending waaaaaay too much time playing poker online. I gained like 30 pounds during this time because I never moved from my computer screen. I ended up hating myself. Online poker is bad for you, kids, even if you're good.
  13. I'm pretty sure Rampage/Wand 3 is on for 92 as well. It's been rumored for 3 different cards but I think 5 ounces confirmed last week that's in December. Honestly, this card needs it the most. 91 and 93 can put out 4 shit-sandwich matches and still push a million buys. But 93 has Lyoto/Silva so luckily that's not going to happen.

    Fashion

As the seasons are changing here are some things I'm looking to pick up for fall/winter: A nice peacoat A few nice sweaters... at least one argyle to wear over my dress shirts to work I think I could also use a nice new scarf for the cold.
  15. Well I can't really see how shroomin' in the desert will be a let down. But yeah - filler setup episode. I hope Drama knocks that one castmate out cold at some point.
  16. Oh hey Brian! Close the window. You're letting all the stank out!
  17. You mean except for the Sarah Palin skits that have actually become news themselves?
  18. Depends. Someday when I'm rich I'll hopefully have one pair of dress shoes I bust out for the fanciest occasions that costs that much. There are always shoes in GQ that are $500+.

    Boxing Thread

Hey boxing fans... is the Berto fight from last night considered a "good fight?" I caught maybe two rounds and man...I could barely watch. It was punch, punch...clinch...get admonished by the ref...punch, punch...clinch. It was excruciating. I hated it. Hopefully this was considered a bad fight or I'll probably never watch boxing again.
  20. Good episode. The cold opening was hilarious and the writers didn't really have much to do because Sarah Palin really did say all that stupid shit in her Couric interview. The debate skit was hit/miss but I enjoyed it overall. Jason/Ana as the bad couple who did all the stupid things and Kenan/Ana on the boat were both pretty decent skits. Some funny jokes on weekend update. Judy Grimes is much better then Nicolas Feyn as the WU guest that says a bunch of things that go nowhere.
  21. Chris Rock's still got it. His new special last night was incredible. "I could be on Regis talking about Madagascar 2 and say, "Oh, Regis...yeah, I play a zebra again." And he could stick a pencil in my fucking neck and say "Take that, you greasy fucking nigger!" and I'd be like "Ahh, I shoulda seen it comin'. I let Regis get too close!" "I remember the first time a girl swallowed my cum after a blowjob. Damn boy. Half the women in here are thinking ew gross and the other half are in a loving relationship."
  22. Don't worry Brewers fans. The Marlins have got your back for tomorrow.
  23. These songs are actually written/performed by lead guitarist Neal Casal. They've been setlist staples for awhile and are on his album No Wish to Reminisce which came out a year or two ago. And yeah, the new songs are outstanding. "Cobwebs" might be one of the best things he's ever written, "Fix It" gives off a great Dead vibe, and "Magick" just fucking rocks. I'm still insanely jealous, I have to wait another month to see them. Oh, man, that's a relief. Like I said, the songs weren't bad, but they weren't what I paid to go and hear. Overall, though, it was worth the money. Great show. Last time I saw Ryan was in 2003 and Pre-Cardinals and he was almost too drunk to perform. This was a major, major difference.
  24. Sorry I'm late. I'm an analytical chemist in the drug development division at Bristol-Myers Squibb. I might just help save your life!
  25. Yes! /sarcasm In front of troops... that will definitely be on the air.
