There actually are a lot of significant upgrades. Spaces is good for partitioning your desktop if you are working on a lot of different projects at once. Time Machine automatically archives your system and saves it so you can recover deleted files years later. There are a lot of other smaller bells and whistles. I, personally, am really looking forward to stacks because I hate clutter. It's not a complete new OS, just another variation of OSX, so the additions will be small but I really like some of the things they added.

I can get this for free through my campus store using a department charge. I called today and they expect them the first week of November, which is I think the earliest anyone is going to see it since they don't ship until 10/26.

The main problem with this is that Bill Simmons predicted it in one his latest columns. He'll probably crow about this. I'm starting to join the side of the people who are growing tired of his spiel.

Bocek vs. Edgar was on UFC Wired this week. I was glad to see it but it wasn't much of a fight.

I like the new Beirut. It's very pleasant to listen to. As for both In Our Bedroom After the War and Challengers... I was underwhelmed by both. Challengers has grown on me a lot but I haven't gone back to the Stars album because I remember being really disappointed. I think I need to listen to it again, though, because it's gotten a lot of praise.

Was Family Guy a repeat already? I could have sworn that was from last season.

Where are the damn SNL threads, I barely find the comments in here. I loved Iconoclasts. That shit had me DYING. The digital short was funny and there were a few other skits that I liked, but I'm having a hard time remembering. The only thing I ended up fast forwarding through was the Al Gore skit.

I can't get in to Spoon at all. Some of the songs are good but some of them make me groan. ME. Imagine the necessary cheese.

I don't know, but is it though? Would it be fair if the UFC pulls in let's say $10M in revenue from a PPV and only pays out $1M in salaries? Despite the fact that he might think so sometimes, they aren't paying to see Dana White. I don't think that the fighters should be making $1M+ a fight, but I don't think $200k plus bonuses is crazy.

I always thought that with Chuck's massive gut that he could drop to 185. That's never going to happen though. Although Chuck vs. Silva for the title would generate mega-buys.

Yeah, I went to sleep at 2 going into the 11th. I was just falling asleep on the couch. I'm glad I saw all the great baseball and missed the bases loaded "walk" off.

All the Boxer talk in the AOTY thread got me listening to Alligator again and I like more of the songs on the album then I remember. I remember thinking a lot of the songs were fantastic and there were some clunkers, but "Karen", "Lit Up", and "Friend of Mine" have snuck up on me as quality songs to go along with all of the ones I already really liked. Boxer is good and it gets better with successive listens but I don't think it really holds a candle to Alligator.

Bono was out of this world hilarious. Dancing around going Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! had me dying EVERY time. And Randy Marsh is God, that ground has been covered many times. I laughed more times this week then last week.
