ESPN crawler says that Jerry Manuel and the Mets agreed to a two-year deal with a club option for a third.

Oh boy... EDIT: Extra credit...the fuck?

"Um..........your plan is a white flag of surrender." Yeah...

I thought I heard that too...

Nervous much Sarah? I'm sure people will say she "held her own" though after this.

Since I'm 21 today, I decided to pick up some Guiness. Pretty good stuff.

Divisional game, you just never know. The Bears are much improved, but I don't think they're that good to where they automatically beat the Vikings. Minnesota's still got that guy named Peterson ya know.

	1. Who is the best team in the league? I'll go with the Cowboys for now. I want to see more of the Giants before putting them at #1. 2. Who is the worst team in the league? Rams, although I really don't think the Lions are that far off. 3. Who is going to take a big step forward the next 4 games? I'm gonna go off the radar and say the Vikings. If they can find a way to beat the Saints on Monday Night, they'll be set up pretty well with winnable games against the Lions, Bears, and Texans before they host the Packers. No one's run away with the NFC North yet so this is a chance for them to make some headway. 4. Rookie of the year candidates? Lots of great offensive candidates, but I'll go with Chris Johnson. Not much on the defensive end...guess I'll go with Antoine Cason of the Chargers. 5. Other than Brady, what is the most costly injury to have happened so far? Merriman, but later on it could end up being Willie Parker if that injury lingers on too much longer. Big Ben's gonna have a hard time staying healthy if he doesn't have that run game behind him.

Obviously the Lions aren't going anywhere this season, but this is a crucial game for them. Looking at their remaining schedule, you'd be hard pressed to find any victories for them (although "this is the NFL" and anything can happen). CHI @ MIN @ HOU WAS @ CHI JAC @ CAR TB TEN MIN @ IND NO @ GB

I guess I'd say that Texas is the most likely team out of that group to lose. Colorado fell flat last Saturday but they do play well at home. This is Texas' 1st game against a team with a pulse (well Rice is 3-2 but it's probably a stretch to call them a quality opponent) so we'll see how that goes.

DON'T QUESTION MY FANHOOD BRO!!! God the Tigers suck.

Yeah, that pitch was pretty nasty. Sheff's going for #500 this game btw.

Didn't we just get done saying the same thing about Florida and their conference schedule? Oklahoma's far from a lock to make it through the Big 12 unscathed (don't forget about that OK St. game too).

Lots of great ones, but I'd have to go with the classic NBA on NBC (NFL on FOX is up there as well). Some others not mentioned: This and the ESPN one bring back memories of when I was at my peak as a hockey fan during the mid/late 90's and early 2000's. Even though I was an NFC guy, I always loved this theme back in the days of Elway and Marino and many others. Also, a lot of the NFL Primetime themes were great as well.

I'll go with VX here. Kahran has Payton plus a great O-line, but I think VX's linebackers and secondary are really tough and I'm a little skeptical of Kahran's passing attack. I think VX's offense is more dynamic (although you have to be wary of a potential Favre meltdown) and should perform well against Kahran's defense, which is very good, but not the best out there.

I don't think we have much choice but to believe in Jr. Sure, he had a hand in hiring Millen in the first place, but at least he realized his mistake and wanted him gone 2-3 years ago (but couldn't because of old man Sr.'s love affair with Millen). The Lions just need to find a way to get a competent GM in place and then they might have a chance. One thing I do agree on (and many Lions' fans would concur) is that William Clay Ford Sr. should be taking more heat for this mess. He's the one that's been there for over 40 years and the Lions only have 1 playoff win to show for it.

I'll bite: Washington (I thought they had potential with an exciting player in Jake Locker, but they're just a mess right now.) Washington St. (Have they done anything since they played in the Rose Bowl a decade ago?) Syracuse (Pretty much been irrelevant since McNabb left.) Arkansas (Barely beat Western Illinois and UL-Monroe, looked like a JV squad vs. Alabama and Texas, plus all that scandal stuff they went through the last year or two.) Virginia (Man, they've fallen hard in a short time and their only win this season was a lackluster 16-0 victory over Richmond.)

Random thought: Does anyone else see a resemblance between Audrina Partridge (of The Hills fame) and Cody Lane (the porn star)?
