Oh I don't question that Stafford is a top ten pick. He is a top 3 QB available coming out, and I'm pretty sure there will be at least two teams in the top 10 spots that'd need a quarterback. My contention is Stafford isn't a #1 overall pick. Neither is Sanchez, just to clarify that. Considering Chase Daniel was a strong Heisman candidate last season and he seems to have gotten even better this season thus far, I don't see why Daniel couldn't be the first quarterback taken. Don't forget, there WILL be people claiming that Georgia is where they are because of Moreno, not Stafford. It'd be harder to argue against Daniel's part in Missouri's success, because the only other guy that can claim responsibility is the guy catching Daniel's passes. I suppose with Herm Edwards, Stafford would make a better piece in his offense whereas Daniel would be more suited for a team like Minnesota, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kansas City wanted the local star. All in all, this is a silly debate. Two common complaints you'll probably hear: 1. Doesn't have the "measurables" (particularly his 6 foot frame). 2. Didn't play in a "traditional pro-style offense".

VX over EHME-A much better D and a dynamic backfield gives him the edge, even against Jim Brown. 909 over CC-CC has more big play ability on offense but I think 909’s WCO with Montana plus a power running game can score just as much plus his D is better IMO. Special teams should be interesting in this one. Kahran over Bored-Of course I could just be a dick and vote for Bored but I think Kahran’s team is a little better. Both D’s are great but I’m feeling Kahran’s offense more with Tarkenton and Payton behind a monster O-line. Gert over TOOG-Gert offense is just too formidable here, especially with 2 great RB’s sharing the carries. I thought there were other QB’s that Gert could’ve went with instead of Dawson, but it’s hard to complain about a Hall of Famer.

Pretty disappointed in how my team finished. Not saying I had the best team, but I thought it was too good to lose in the 1st round like that. Maybe it was just a bad matchup or something. I'll get my votes in later today.

This Michigan St./Florida Atlantic game is a complete slopfest with fumbles all over the place. The two QB's are a combined 8 for 30 passing.

I'm pretty much the classic "root for the local team" guy. Of course having Barry Sanders, Grant Hill and Steve Yzerman playing in Detroit helped draw me in (the Tigers were shitty at that time but I rooted for them anyways). I've seen a bunch of highs with the Red Wings (4 cups since '97) and the Pistons (NBA title in '04, 6 straight ECF's) as well as many lows with the Tigers (bunch of losing seasons before 2006 including 119 losses in '03, meltdown in '06 W.S.) and the Lions (Barry retiring early, 31-82 under Matt Millen since '01), but I have and still will stick with these teams.
