As far as Frank Davis goes, he simply made too many mental mistakes during the preseason and that's why he got cut. I was disappointed because I thought he had the potential to be a good player after finally getting healthy. Unfortunately I didn't get to see him on the field much but maybe a change of scenery will do him good. Another thing is that he didn't seem to adjust to the Lions' new zone blocking scheme, so may the Browns' system will fit him better (he's huge at 6'3", 329).

Lions signed Rudi Johnson. I don't know how much he has left in the tank, but he's still a better option than Tatum Bell. A backfield of Kevin Smith/Johnson/Marcus Thomas sounds a lot better than Smith/Bell/Cason or Calhoun.

I thought Clemson would actually get it done this year but it's not looking good right now. EDIT: Otis Wiley's looking awfully good for MSU. I played against him in H.S. and never thought he would turn out to be this great.

Michigan needs a QB bad...of course Pryor could've came in and started right away but whatever. I'm actually more disappointed that the defense gave up as much as it did considering they had a decent amount of experience on that side of the ball (although they did play very well in the 2nd half). Michigan's offense is definitely gonna be a work in progress this season (their RB's and WR's look promising at least).

Houston could make a run at their first ever playoff berth. They were 7-3 against non-divisional opponents last season; if they can get a couple more wins against their division, they could make it. Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson were dinged up last year, so it'll definitely help that they're healthy again.

There used to be this teen club (ages 13 to 17 or 18 IIRC) in my area that sometimes ran foam parties (minus the lingerie). All types of grinding and dry humping going on there. Oh yeah, and huge brawls as well.

Another thing about Merriman, I don't understand why he didn't just have the surgery right after the Chargers' season ended.
