Just got a 30 disc best of 1993 Japan Comp

so just about everything is pretty good ? I do consider AJ 90s to be the best wrestling ever and I haven't even seen that much. This set does have hansen/kobashi which is in my top 5 favorites. Can anyone single out some of the Joshi matches from this set ?I have not seen hardly any womens matches before.
  3. I've heard someone say that no match can be given the full 5 stars because there is no such thing as a perfect match. While I understand their point,I disagree. How many matches have you given 5 stars to ?Please include what matches they are in your replies.

    20 Most Essential Matches (1982-2001)

Shouldn't Hogan/Shiek be on there. It is the start of the Hogan era.

    20 Most Essential Matches (1982-2001)

When I made my top 100 lists for wwf and wcw I made sure to include that it was all my opinion.I think it lowers the arguing that way.
  6. This should be in poll form but I couldn't figure out how to start a poll. These were the top 2 angles of the monday night wars.Which did you think was better ?Please give some reasons for which one you liked more.

    Better Angle: NWO or Austin/McMahan

I meant which one everyone liked more.

    TSM 2006 NBA Playoffs thread

Remember a few years back where the lakers threw up a miracle shot with 0.4 left to beat the spurs and everyone complained that it was fixed. It wasn't.It was a miracle shot to end the game.THIS,however, was ridiculous since the refs ignored the timeout and ignored the intentional foul.
  9. This is my pick as well.I wouldn't mind seeing the batb thread from that ppv either. There are a few other ppv threads I wouldn't mind seeing dug up like wm17,barely legal, survivor series 97 etc.

    Best PPV Opener

I agree that the opener shouldn't be the best match but you can't fault the guys if they steal the show.Lets break down some examples. Bret/Owen wm10- A good choice for the opener because the ladder match was still to come and bret winning the belt from yoko was the send the fans home happy main event they wanted. Pilman/Liger superbrawl 2- A good choice for an opener. It stole the show but other matches on the card could have topped it.Rude/Steamboat and Steiners/Eaton/Anderson could have been just as good of matches but turned out to be disapointing. You can't plan that.Sting/Luger was the send the fans home happy main event since sting won the belt. Rockers/Orient Express-Didn't matter what the opener was because it was still the early years for the rumble and nothing was going to take away from the rumble match. Rey/Psychosis Bash at the Beach-You can tell this was going to be match of the night. However, nothing was going to take away from the main event of that show. As far as some matches I thought were great openers.I'll go with rockers/barbarian/haku from wm7 or brainbusters/harts from summerslam 89.

    The Wrestlemania Plunge (1983-1985)

I was going to do a top 50 most important moments in wwf/e list.I'm not sure if I'm going to do it because I would be stealing alot of the information from this article. This might be the best wrestling article I've ever read.I bumped it incase anyone wants to check it out who hasn't already.

    Top 50 WWF/E FEUDS

I want to make sure nobody gets this confused with the best matches list.A lot of things have to be considered when talking about a great feud. How was the build up ? Did it get a new person over or elevate the right person ?Did the feud produce good matches ? Did the feud have a propper end ? A great match may not mean a great feud and a great feud doesn't always mean a ****+ match.Obviously,a great match helps the feud but it isn't always necessary.I will start the list later or tomorrow.Enjoy.
  14. Feedback would be appreciated since this took some thinking on my part. This is a different wrestlemania game.I took every wrestler who has competed in a wrestlemania including wm22 and made my own card.I believe I used everyone but if I left someone out you can call me on it.It is a 7 night card. Here is part 1.Let me know what you think and if you can do better, good luck.Just kidding.Enjoy. Top 50 WWF/E FEUDS

I like it.I will make it my next project but it will take some time to put together. As far as leaving out official matches,I should, but something like the wm10 ladder match was pretty important for the wwf so I don't see how I can leave that off the list. While this will be just wwf/e,should I include outside promotion events on the list ?For example, nitro effected the wwf in a big way, same for the nwo and ecw. What do you think ?
  16. slabinskia

    Top 50 WWF/E FEUDS

top 50 most influential moments in wrestling history. That is a tough project to do.I would like to do the top 50 wwf/e moments like the one poster started. The tough part about that is the ground rules.Would a mmoment mean a match,a part of a match,a certain angle or a certain tv segment ?A moment could really be anything.Lmk what you think.

Wrestlemania 23 at Ford Field Detroit

CanadianChris-What choice do they have other than hogan/austin to fill the arena next year ?While it won't be a good match,it will be a pleasant waste of time like hogan/rock was. There is nobody they can build up for next year and draw a huge crowd. They have to go with hogan/austin.If nothing else,I would rather watch that than a john cena match. Btw,whoever said rock/hbk would be a good choice for next year had a good idea but I can't see vince putting two dream matches on the same show.

Wrestlemania 23 at Ford Field Detroit

Obviously they will do hogan/austin at wm23 to fill the place and I think it will work.I almost get the feeling vince wrote this wrestlemania off because he knows the real money is in next years wm.

    My All Time Wrestlemania Card

WOW,I can't believe I didn't think of flair/race.I was considering flair/bruno but didn't go with it.I also considered flair/steamboat but I thought hbk/steamboat was something that hadn't been done. I had many ideas for terry funk. The problem though was what to do with dory. That is why I put them in a tag match and I don't think funks/buldogs is too shabby of a matchup at all.Keep the ideas coming.
  21. slabinskia

    My All Time Wrestlemania Card

That is why it is fantasy. In the real world, neither man wanted to be the one to lay down which is why the match was scrapped. What other matches would everyone change ? Since I used everyone (I think),there were some obvious duds. Also, what were some good choices I made ?

    My All Time Wrestlemania Card

I always thought valentine got the shaft from the iwc.Imo,he was a very good wrestler in his day. As for flair/rock,I think the rock from wm 17 vs flair from wm8 would make a great main event.Too many people are going to remember flair from the last few years when they should remember him from his awesome nwa run and his brief but great wwf run in 91-92.

    My All Time Wrestlemania Card

The reason toronto is the best is because I wanted all of the canadian wrestlers on the toronto card.Since some of the best wrestlers came from canada,it obviously has the best card from a workrate standpoint.
