Well Blue Dragon seems ok, if a little uneventful - though I'm only just onto the 2nd Disk. Don't think I'll be bothering with the Achievement whoring on this one though, some of the points are wank.

Well, Madden was finally released over here - even if it was only 7 copies of the game delivered to the store for release day despite having 13 preorders for it. I have no idea why so few were sent, but I was thinking bad things. Overall I'm really happy with it, I was getting a bit pissed off with all the INTS I was throwing, but then I read that you actually control where abouts you throw the ball in this game with the left thumb stick. So ever since I've found that out, I've been able to throw the balls over shoulders and out of the CB's reach which feels cool. Had to laugh at Pacman Jones not appearing in the game, and Michael Vick being benched.

Just got around to watching it and I didn't think it was that bad. I thought Triple H looked better in his toned down smaller physique, certinaly seems more athletic.

Madden 08 has been put back by ANOTHER week in the UK. That sees it slipping from August 17th - August 31st

Aye, so far I've enjoyed the PC version. I'm sure if you tweeked the sliders, you'd find a setting that would be at the right balance. I find this site: http://football-freaks.com/forums/index.php?showforum=252 helpful for most things Madden (PC related), though you can copy some of the slider settings over.

Playing the PC game I haven't noticed any extreme in these problems what so ever, so far. However, have any of you tried adjusting the settings in the option sliders?

I actually like the updated animations and the increased amount of interceptions, there was hardly any on 07. Infact, in 07 people were pretty much just giant bricks as they never got injured, never caught a ball (unless a WR) and generally just bounced off things.

I've read on another site that the 'Big Name' is Brock Lesnar. However, this hasn't been confirmed. I'm surprised they've let Bentley go though, especially if they're going to release 'TNA Years' on DVDs. He was a major part of the X-Division later on.

The PC game feels exactly the same as last years apart from the addition of starting as a class of 07 rookie in the Superstar mode.

Well, I can't wait 2 weeks for the UK release of the 360 version, so I've got my hands on the PC version for now. I'll give that a go and see what its like.

I had read that the defence learns and evolves during the game, and the LB have more aweness, apprently EA were too keen on all the people complaining about people QB rushing all the time in Madden 07, so they've put a stop - to some extent to it. I guess by the lack of response in this topic, that the game is good - at least for the first 12 hours.

Tyson is known around the world, more or less to follows and non followers of boxing alike. Pacman Jones is maybe known to just NFL fans, for the most part in North America, and those who saw him on the news - again in North America. Just an observation to add to the Tyson v Pacman debate.

I don't bother with a tag division until I'm at mid-top Cult level, I'll have tag matches due to feuds that require them, but I won't have tag belt till later on, costs too much money. As for wage cap, for my small GCW promotion, $4000 is my cap per show.

Totally agree with that, that was a great feud. Wonder if they enjoyed working with each other. I'm going to have to dig out the DVDs now and watch it again

I'm not sure he'd actually have to feud with Vince to get that honor haha
