Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 25, 2003 On the brightside Mulder pitched a shutout, Kim gave up only 1 run, in 7 innings but lost. Also Rivera is coming off the DL soon.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 25, 2003 The day one pitcher comes off DL another one is put on DL..........WHY WHY WHY? On a good note I am #1 again. With a Complete Game by one of my Expos pitchers with 0.56 ERA and Mark Redman going 7 IP with an ERA nearly as low. Note to self never put Jose Cruz Jr on bench EVER. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 25, 2003 I moved back up to 5th on my strong pitching yesterday.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted April 25, 2003 I finally recorded a save! But I forgot Clement was going yesterday so I missed out on any numbers he put up. Will someone PLEASE give my offense a kick in the ass so they can put some more runs and HRs up?
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 27, 2003 Rivera is expected back Tuesday. Sweet News!
Guest DrTom Report post Posted April 27, 2003 ::looks at the standings for today:: Ah, yes. All is right with the world once again.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Tom, What's your team called again?
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Damn, I suck at fantasy leagues that need DAILY attention. I am in last place and waaaay behind. Oh well, maybe I need to put in more time.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Vern, I'm the Darkside Dominators, and I recently enjoyed a one-day view from the penthouse. But I shall have that view again... oh yes, I shall! NCM, I definitely recommend making roster moves like pitching changes and rotating players based on game schedules every day.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 28, 2003 rotating players based on game schedules every day. I having problems with this as some of my players get benched and I replace said person with a bum who ends up pitch hitting. My OF and 3B are giving me headaches. I am pissed that the Florida Fish went 20 innings and let Ivan PITCH HIT!.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Sounds like you need to pick better players, then.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 29, 2003 It was an Auto Draft. Well it does not matter because I am still #1 in the other league.....not bad for a Rookie. I did get good production from the 3B from the Mets, now if only if the Mets played him every game. I want to play Kenny Lofton more for stolen bases but he does not start every game plus his OBP is the lowest on my team.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I'm actually pretty surprised that I have one of the best pitching staffs in the league. If my offense was that good, there would be someone else in the elevator going to the top with you, Tom
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 29, 2003 My pitching staff is turning out to be pretty solid. The two things Im getting beat in that will probably give me trouble all year are saves and on the offensive side, Stolen Bases. So far Bonds has 3, which is the most on my team by any one player. I was hoping Abreu would get 30 again this year, but so far he has 2, although hes not playing as bad as he was about a week and a half ago..
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 30, 2003 3rd place, only 5 1/2 points out of first place, off another stellar performance by my Pitching staff. The coolest part about that is that I got exactly 250 innings logged for April, which is the exact number I should average each month to not go over the 1500 inning limit any sooner than the absolute end of the season. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Well my teams gradually improving. Mulder seems to be getting his act together, Buerhle's hit a bump but I have confidence, hopefully Chacon isn't an April Sensation. One nice pickup I made before the season started was Carl Everett. He's gotten me 10 HR's.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 7, 2003 good day for my pitches 3 Wins 1 Save but as normal I missed out on Reggie Sanders HR with not knowing who to bench.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Sanders hadn't hit a HR in how long? I made a mistake starting Buerhle tonight. Oakland has won like 9 straight home games against Chicago.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Sanders & Lofton had a big game both hitting HRs I missed out on 3 RBIs tonight.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted May 7, 2003 My bats have gone pretty cold. I did get a Bonds homer, but thats about it.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Fuck Garcia. You had a 3-1 career record against the Yankees, with a 2.82 ERA. There's no excuse giving up 9 runs.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Dammit gentlemen, HIT HOME RUNS!!! I'll let out a little w00t for Mussina right now (7-0, 1.70 ERA and 63Ks)
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Looking for a Catcher, I am willing to give up a Outfielder in trade. To Gem Lake consider my offer
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I have one good player on my team.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Mine are on DL, Mark Redman getting injuried hurt my team's ERA. Preston Wilson is hitting HRs like an All Star, lucky me J. Cruz is doing well batting after Bonds
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I just took a look at the league manager list thing.. 31 Moves.. I've had good reasons for some (I've had 2 SP go down, and some players I pick up do didly squat..) but I need to slow down some.. Of course, here I am pondering trading Mike Sweeney because Im desperate for SB points (I have 2, fewest in the top 9 teams). Granted Im first in HR, RBI, 2nd In Ks and 3rd in Wins, but I am not going to be able to win without getting some more SB points. I can afford to trade Sweeney because I have 2 other players that can play 1B (and are doing just as well, if not better than Sweeney)...they only thing Im really losing is his high OB%.. Guest alkeiper Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I don't have many SB guys. I do have Corey Patterson, who's worth about 20 a year. I'd move him if you're interested.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I'll offer Jaque Jones, 6 SBs so far and has a pretty high OBP
Guest DrTom Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I just got over the hump in steals by getting Dave Roberts a while back. I don't have much other speed to deal, but I'd discuss Jimmy Rollins if you're interested.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I'll think about the Jones trade..
