Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Torrie...Wilson. Dames Poor Simon Diamond
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 No one knows. Conspiracy theorists say it's because they'll upstage the big men. In reality it's probably just because Vince thinks small men can't draw.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 *cough*BretHartShawnMichaels*cough* Since when has Shawn Michaels ever drawn?
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Shawn Michaels has never been a draw in his entire career- you can look it up for yourself. Shawn Michaels DOES NOT draw.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Dude, Michaels never drew anywhere near the amounts that legend would have us believe. He drew but he was never a top shelf guy.
LooseCannon25 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 This could be vital for WWE. This is the first of the new-wave of indy talent they've signed up, and if they bury him, then guys like AJ, Low Ki, Am Drag and Daniels won't go there in a million years. If, however, they do well with him, then that could allow WE to sign up a load of good workers. Hey buddy, there's one thing you seem to be forgetting. MONEY......If they offer any of those talents considerably more than any indy promotion they WILL go. For the fame and fortune they would go. So, would you, so would I, and so would anybody else.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Let's look at the winners and losers outside of London and the fans: Winners: TNA X guys who will likely be getting a new batch of extended contract offers from TNA. Loser: BoboBrazil...since this only extends the Frankie Kazarian push farther. Sorry Bobo. He's going to win that title.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Winners: A lot of the new guys in Ring of Honor. London leaving gives those guys who are always in the four ways and five ways a chance to move up. Losers: People who bet on London v. Joe- and bet on London
EL DANDY~! Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 You know, you think there's the possibility of Michael Shane also being brought in to tag with London because of their similar backgrounds? I don't see a problem with that...Shane can be Ricky Morton and London can be Robert Gibson and I'd be just fine with that...
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I wouldn't- Paul London is at his best when he's getting his ass handed to him. He plays the sympathy babyface to perfection and always has the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. He should be the Ricky Morton
EL DANDY~! Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Shane doesn't have the offense to BE Robert Gibson...but then again, I do see your point. It could work either way. Now THAT would be some flexibility...
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 It would also be surreal to see Shane and London teaming together
EL DANDY~! Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Really...after all the feuding they've done...of course, it's WWE, so they'd totally forget about it and make them a tag team anyways, like they did with the Basham "brothers"
Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Guys like London get to rot in OVW to get reprogrammed while guys like Zach Gowan and Nathan Jones get to come immediately to tv. He is an idiot for taking this deal. The only positive I can see for him in this is that when they bring him to the main roster, job him out, and then fire him in a couple of years he will make more money on the indy scene for being a former WWE name.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Loser: BoboBrazil...since this only extends the Frankie Kazarian push farther. Sorry Bobo. He's going to win that title. Hopefully they realized he sucks ass and that is why he jobbed to Sabin on Wednesday. They better not give his ass a rematch.
EL DANDY~! Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 No...see...what sucks for Bobo...is that the next time Kazarian faces Sabin for the belt...he's gonna win it, because Kazarian beat him non-title, but lost in a title match, so he's gonna go through dubious circumstances to get the shot again, and he's gonna win. By the way...I don't see anything great about Kaz, neither...

He's an idiot for wanting to live his dream? He's an idiot for wanting all his hard work to pay off?
The Dames Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 What is with the Kazarian hate? From his TNA work, he seems to be a bit spotty, but generally a good worker. Dames
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 As a Paul London fan.... I'll say this. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK A DUCK FUCK. Ok, that is all.
Guest Miss Independant Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Oh God, what wonderful news! Oh joy... rapture... bliss... AHHIIEEE! *ahem* 'Scuse me, Imma mark.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 He's an idiot for wanting to live his dream? He's an idiot for wanting all his hard work to pay off? How exactly is his hard work getting paid off by getting $500 a week to wrestle every day again guys in OVW? Even if he gets called up to the main roster, has he not seen how they treat people like him? I know every wrestler dreams of being in the WWE, but they need to wisen up and look at reality. I'm sure all of these guys think they are the one that is going to change things too, which is kind of sad when they finally get called up and realize the truth that they are too blind to see.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 We should probably move the Kazarian discussion out of here... but Bobo doesn't like him because he's bland (which he is) and seems pretty generic looking with nothing to ditinguish himself. That said...he is definitely taking that title soon. I thought Sabin giving him his shot after having to beat 5 men was the smartest booking TNA has done in a while (while...actually just a couple weeks since the cage match).
Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 What is with the Kazarian hate? From his TNA work, he seems to be a bit spotty, but generally a good worker. Dames He is bland and his in ring work isn't very good. Just look at the 6 man match from last Wednesday. Did he do anything? He was useless in the match. I know he is capable of doing something entertaining, because his finisher is amazing, but other than that he sucks. He works a WWE cruiserweight style and he isn't in WWE.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Who's dream is it to become "enhancement talent"? I don't think any wrestler dreams of being the next Barry Horowitz.

Keep in mind that one week ago, he almost DIED AND was selling an injury throughout both matches. Dames
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 He saw both of those matches. I'm not sure if he saw the Sabin match that I thought was real real good from a couple weeks before...
Astro101 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Don't want this to turn into more of a TNA thread here, but if they gave Frankie more of a talking role to build up his character, it'd be even better. He may be bland, but I still enjoy his work.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Who's dream is it to become "enhancement talent"? I don't think any wrestler dreams of being the next Barry Horowitz. It's his dream to work for the biggest game in town. Just like I'm sure it's people's dreams to go from being a star in Triple A to being on the bench in MLB
