After the grass roots campaign a few months ago that got me banned, I thought my days here were through...

Dames... explained to me why I was banned, and that there wasn't anythign I could do about it. He also stated that the majority of the people AGREED with it. Boy, was that a kick in the face.

There was nothing "grass roots" about what got you banned. It was a single post by a single poster: me. And the "campaign" lasted all of one and a half hours before your ass landed in the trashcan.

 

If a majority of posters did indeed agree with the banning (something I don't contend and have no way of knowing), it was at least partly because you yourself explicitly admitted that you were in direct and deliberate violation of the board rules. I believe a majority considered you an intelligent and entertaining poster both before and after the ban, and that includes me. But you left no one any choice in the matter.

 

Now the question is, has Banky learned his lesson? I'd say so...

I'm willing to wipe the slate clean. If you have indeed learned your lesson, we shouldn't have any more problems.

Also, I find a bit of humor in the fact that when Banky was banned there was no outcry, just a bunch of people saying "rules are teh rules." Well, except for CMW, who I believe was attacked for his anger over the situation. Now that Banky is back however, it's all "hugs and kisses."
