Update: It seems the French goverment is now claiming over 11,000 are dead from the heat-wave. It's certainly not a good time to be in Europe.

Anyway, it really sucks this happened. I feel sorry for the 3,000 who've died. It's really tragic. I don't know if the goverment dropped the ball or not.
