BoboBrazil Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 The promotion debuted the "Fake WWE Army" which consists of Shawn (Hotstuff) Hernandez dressed like Kurt Angle, Misterio (Amazing) Red as Rey Misterio, and Alan Funk (who did the Funkster gimmick in HWA and WWA) portraying Hulk Hogan. In the case of Hernandez, he does look remarkably like Angle.
AndrewTS Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 I DID think that was Angle at first. Although looking at it his arms look bigger than I think Kurt's are.
BoboBrazil Posted August 19, 2003 Author Report Posted August 19, 2003 Alan Funk wasn't Lodi. Alan Funk was Kweewee in WCW as well as Bruce in TNA.
razazteca Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 From gay gimmick to Hulkster thats an improvement for Alan Funk.
Ripper Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Did he grow or are those other guys incredibly short.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Did he grow or are those other guys incredibly short. Amazing Red is like 5'6".
Youth N Asia Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Red pretending to be Mysterio should be a crime against nature...fuckin' spotmonkey.
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Did he grow or are those other guys incredibly short. Amazing Red is like 5'6". Red's way shorter than that, more like 5'2"-5'3"
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Ugh...and to think AJPW used to be the best wrestling federation of all time. Mutoh has lost his fucking mind.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Why does that Kurt Angle have Stephanie McMahon's arms?
Repo Man jr Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Why does that Kurt Angle have Stephanie McMahon's arms? It's not Kurt, it's Hercules Hernandez.
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Hotstuff Hernandez. The current NWA Wildside champion actually.
Repo Man jr Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Hotstuff Hernandez. The current NWA Wildside champion actually. No your getting mixed up. Hot Stuff was Eddie Gilbert. Hercules is Hernandez.
Nevermortal Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Between this and the Bischoff Rape angle, Wrestlecrap's going to have a tough time choosing their definition this week.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Hotstuff Hernandez. The current NWA Wildside champion actually. No your getting mixed up. Hot Stuff was Eddie Gilbert. Hercules is Hernandez. Thats NOT Hercules Herandez, it's Hotstuff Shawn Herandez, current wildside champ, not ex-steroid junkie and wased up wrestler.
Nevermortal Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Hotstuff Hernandez. The current NWA Wildside champion actually. No your getting mixed up. Hot Stuff was Eddie Gilbert. But failing.
Ced Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 From puroresufan.com AJPW, 8/19/03 Tokyo Korakuen Hall 1,700 Fans 1. Gran Hamada beat Masayuki Kono (8:11) with a horizontal cradle. 2. Shawn Hernandez beat Kazushi Miyamoto (4:25) with an Olympic Drop. 3. Kendo Kashin, Alan Funk & Misterio Red beat Masanobu Fuchi, Taichi Ishikari & Hi69 (15:59) when Kashin used a cross armbreaker on Ishikari. 4. Shigeo Okumura & Nobukazu Hirai beat Hideki Hosaka & Kuroge Wagyuta (13:36) when Hirai used the Hirai End on Wagyuta. 5. The Gladiator, Gigantes & TAKA Michinoku beat Keiji Muto, Arashi & Kaz Hayashi (13:03) when Gladiator used a running Awesome bomb on Hayashi. 6. Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 The thread title is painfully misleading, nicely done Bobo
Guest Choken One Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Yeah...Mutoh has gone insane... Wonder if WWE will have A-Train, SOH and TBS mimic Kawanda, Muto and Kogima?
Nevermortal Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Yeah...Mutoh has gone insane... Wonder if WWE will have A-Train, SOH and TBS mimic Kawanda, Muto and Kogima? I don't think the WWE gives a flying fuck.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 They can't do jackshit even if they did care.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Hmm. The WWE should send HHH over there to play himself.. HHH: Nobody gets to play me-uh but me.
Guest Nanks Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 They should paint Funk bright orange and give him a walking frame
Guest Korgath Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Alan Funk's been doing that Hogan ripoff gimmick for coupla years now. Pretty duh-uh.
Guest Trivia247 Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 unfortunately this angle won't lead to the WWE to really send Hogan Angle and Rey rey to 6man tag against them cuz Hogan is gone.. Then again now with Hogan as free agent and he is claiming to go back to Japan, maybe he will singlehandedly squash his Dopperganger and the Red n the Angle wannabe
