Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 I just watched a 15-20 minute match with all four of my CAWs (my namesake, Killian (the hoss), Low-Ki and Bret Hart). Now THAT was a match... I would give it ***1/2, only because the best match I saw that I did not participate in was a **** match with Ric Flair and Stone Cold, of all people. ::goes back to having fun building up his Vader CAW::
cbacon 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2004 Ok, i've completed 3 seasons with Benoit (1 Smackdown, 2 RAW) And i've had the same friggen storylines. Granted, up until the last i've been ignoring the SP levels so i haven't been leveling up. So every year i've been getting the same damn McMahon/jail storyline where i come back and win chairman position then give it up at Armaggedon. I recently won the World Title in the beginning of my 4th season so is it safe to say i'll be avoiding this storyline now? Also, anyone know any good CAW sites that inculde movesets? Thanks
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 An easy way to build up a wrestler fast is to make a bunch of Jobbers, with 1s in everything except stamina, raise that to 2. Replace the majority of the roster with the Jobbers, and your CAW will fight them for the majority of the season. With every match that you can, attack the Jobber after the match... the next week, when you look in the areas, chances are that the Jobber will be there and will challenge you to a match.... pound that Jobber, then you get more XP. The only drawback is that if you do it constantly, he will "recruit" an upper echelon wrestler to help out against you or fight for you. In the 2 on 1 situation, concentrat on the Jobber, and knock down the other one. In the case of the "substitute", go to the area with the steel cage, climb atop it and knock off the wrestler with punches when he gets to the top. This requires timing or you are going to get reversed a lot. Knock him off 6 or 7 times, until a body part is in the red, climb down (down and square at the same time) and pin him. Using this method, you can get a wrestler's stats to where you want inside of a season, with a part of a second, maximum. EDIT: the site I use is http://www.cheatsforplaystation2.com/hctp/cawindex.htm
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Anyone seen the referee strike angle, around Royal Rumble time, yet? I got that one the other day for the first time and was astounded that there was more than 5 angles in this game. For the next installment, 6 years worth of storylines will probably equal 8 or 9 actual angles. UYI
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 I run across that every so often... heh, I don;t know why I keep making CAWs, since by the time I fill up the roster, SD6 will be out, and I have to start over... ::chuckles::
tetsubeav 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 Man... if only they'd have some way to just import old HCTP CAWs into the new game. It couldn't be all that hard, could it?
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2004 Can somebody tell me what makes a post-match attack successful? Usually when I do it I get my ass handed to me by the guy I just defeated. Oh and what's this thing anout the referee striking Angle?
Perfxion 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2004 The only way to attack is if your Superstar points are higher than theres. So if you are a new CAW and you fight Rocky. Beat him and try attack, you will lose. But if you are Brock Lesnar and you are facing Rico, attack after the win and you will kill him. Ref is labeled a cheater by a wrestler in the 4 way for a title shot, Ref quits the next week until rumble. For 2 or 3 weeks you have No DQ matches and the fun of those is all chair all the time. At the Rumble you either defend the title or gruge match(your choice) against the wrestler who attack ref.
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2004 Nice. Do you by chance know some of the requirements to get that angle?
Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Yeah, how MX?
tetsubeav 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 If I recall right, you have to be champo going into the Rumble. There will be a four man for 1 contender with you (as champ) being a participant. The deal is that winner gets the shot unless you win which means no title shot at the Rumble. If you win that match the person you pin to finish it attacks the ref and that sets off the Ref strike. That lasts until the Rumble. The show before the Rumble has Hebner come back to give you a chair to chairshot the guy you're feuding with (again, the person you pinned in the above match) and he says he'll ref a Rumble match between the two of you. You can then choose between putting the title on the line or not.
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Okay damn it, I'm tired of searching. Can somebody PLEASE give me a link to a decent Dynamte Kid CAW? I've got the moveset, but I need a good formula.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Okay, i'm somewhat laughing and crying now. I just had a Last Man Standing match, i was old Undertaker gainst Current Undertaker, the match was about half an hour (that i want back) i had about 98% of the offence, a dozen choke slams and tombstones from me, sledgehammer and steel steps. What happens? ONE chokeslam from Taker. And i'm down for 10.

Maybe a little late, but here. That's a Japanese guy whose CAWs are the best for every character he does. There's a DK on there. You can run the site through a translator, but I've managed to figure out my way around without it.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2004 My question is where you get a translator.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2004 Here's Altavista's translator.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted May 16, 2004 I fumbled my way through it pretty easily without a translater. There was enough English for me to find my way around. The formulas are all in English too...and provide help pics along the way. That Tiger Mask is good, and I'm making it right now. That Dynamite Kid is shitty though.... Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2004 That Dynamite Kid is shitty though.... Yeah? I wouldn't know, I've never really seen him at the stage of his career it was based on. Still, I've only seen a couple attempts and the other ones are way worse. I've seen a better Kidman than his, and the figures and attire on his CIMA are off, but other than that, it's aces I think. I'd add some ears to that Tiger Mask also.

notJames 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Something weird happened recently... I started a season as CAW Ken Shamrock on RAW. About a month into it, I decided to add a tag team to the roster. So I go ahead and add them (to the RAW roster, mind you). At the next PPV, they challenged for the WWE tag titles. The WWE tag titles. I thought maybe in adding them they automatically got shunted to the SD! roster, but lo and behold, the night after winning the straps at the PPV, there they were on RAW, competing in singles action, and that's where they've been ever since. I don't think they've even defended their belts since, and I'm already heading to SummerSlam. Have any of you guys experienced roster addition aberrations like that? Guest Coffey Report post Posted May 18, 2004 I made a Raven CAW and played with him for awhile. After a week or so, I deleted him because I wasn't completely happy with his moveset or appearance. Later on when I was in season mode, the opponent that Bischoff selected for me in a Hardcore match turned out to be Raven. I don't know how it happened. I went back and looked at my memory card to make sure that he was really deleted, and he was. I think what happened is that he was "saved" into the season mode because I kept continuing the same one over and over again. Still, it was kindof cool to see. It shocked me! Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 You are going to find that your CAWs can be hellacious, ESPECIALLY if you give them the "right" moves, those that play to that wrestler's intelligence. I had to try six or seven times with my Scott Steiner CAW to beat my Killian CAW in story mode, and even then I had to fight a running match the whole way. It was NOT fun. At all. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Speaking of not liking your Raven's appearance, if you still want one, go here and look at the Ravens done by a guy called Born2Box. They're really good. He has some just about perfect Hogans and Jeff Hardys you can see there as well.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted May 18, 2004 That site is in my favorites. I don't like any Raven that I have found thus far on-line. I was wanting his NWA:TNA attire, but the new chest tattoo is too hard to make....
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 On the topic of uber CAW's...I know somehow my Jindrak and Paul London CAW's became tag team champions...hell they weren't even a tag team. Just randomly put together and actually won them. I don't see how though...seeing as how when I decided to lay one of their matches it was fuckign hard as hell...going up against people like Taker and stuff...but it's just a random luck of the draw thing with simming matches. notJames 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2004 As a follow-up to my "SD! tag champs on RAW" anomaly, the same tag team just won the RAW tag titles. So now they're double champs, though they've only been competing on RAW thus far. I'm gonna have to continue the next year on SD! to see how this plays out. Crazy stuff.
