pappajacks Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Remember the Seinfeld episode where a man has a woman's voice? A little summary of that show... Jerry thought the man's wife was flirting with Jerry. Elaine didn't believe it, so she tried to call the woman. She thought she was talking with the woman, but it was really the husband (who has a woman's voice) on the line. The husband then thought that Jerry and his wife were having an affair. A little later on the show, Elaine made things worse at the coffee shop by indirectly saying to the wife that her husband has a woman's voice. At the end of the show, Kramer thought the man was a homosexual. My question: Does anyone know the name (character name, not real name) of the man with the woman's voice? Thanks.
Brush with Greatness Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 And then on a later episode, Elaine caused the breakup of this girl with another guy by calling her and hanging up if he answered because he was a poor conversationalist and she didn't want to talk to him. Then Kramer consoled her to go back in the army and shit. For some reason I think her name is Irene. The squeaky voice may be Paul. I may be way off base on both these names though. Those were the first two that popped into my head.
Brush with Greatness Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Never mind. The girl's name is Noreen. I think the guys name is Dan. The episode was "The Pledge Drive".
Bruiser Chong Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 The guy's name was indeed Dan. His confrontation with Kramer at the pledge drive is classic, but nothing tops Elaine telling Jerry's Nana to drop dead, thinking it was Dan.
the max Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Wasn't that when George and Danny Tartabull followed the guy that George thought flipped them off?
Bruiser Chong Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Not to mention the episode that first threw out the idea that you could eat your candy bars with a knife and fork. Quite the episode, now that I think about it.
Guest The Old Me Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Not to mention the episode that first threw out the idea that you could eat your candy bars with a knife and fork. Quite the episode, now that I think about it. That was great. Sitcoms have never been the same since Jerry left. Besides CURB, baby!
Art Sandusky Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 It really is amazing how much they managed to jam into 22 minutes or so of each episode.
Guest The Old Me Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 It really is amazing how much they managed to jam into 22 minutes or so of each episode. I have 6, 6 hour tapes of Seinfeld. Every episode is amazing in one way or another.
Vern Gagne Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 That very episode was on tonight. That's just really weird.

OldSchoolWrestling Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 It really is amazing how much they managed to jam into 22 minutes or so of each episode. I have 6, 6 hour tapes of Seinfeld. Every episode is amazing in one way or another. I need only 7 more episodes to have every one. The funny thing is, I only started taping them this year and between Fox and TBS, I've caught them all.

Every episode is amazing in one way or another. I have EVERY episode on tape. 13 tapes to be exact. I can't WAIT til the show hits DVD! *crosses fingers*
converge241 Posted August 22, 2003 Report Posted August 22, 2003 they may jam a lot in but too bad every one of them has stuff cut out (liek a few lines to fit more commercials in) it may not seem like a lot but when youre someone who has them on tape and watches over and over again you can say what was cut out exactly while watching an episode- thats why im glad like 70-80% are taped from the original airing and REALLY glad about the dvds
justsoyouknow Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 Seinfeld is by far the greatest sitcom ever. Anyone who claims otherwise is dead wrong. Best episode of all time would have to be "The Contest".
converge241 Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 my fav is "the car dealership" but im like the only one who likes it that much LOL
CanadianChris Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 Seinfeld is by far the greatest sitcom ever. Anyone who claims otherwise is dead wrong. That's debatable. All In The Family, M*A*S*H and Cheers would all be right up there for me. Of course, the greatest comedy to ever air was Police Squad!. Best episode of all time would have to be "The Contest". I'll agree with this one, though.
The Czech Republic Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 All In The Family and Seinfeld share the #1 sitcom spot. If M*A*S*H was only five seasons, kept the original cast, and were to end with Blake dying, it would probably be the best show ever.
BifEverchad Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 Does anyone know if Seinfeld is coming to DVD anytime soon, or is there any talks?
Guest JacK Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 I dunno, that'd be cool though; they started showing them again on free-to-air tv here in Australia again; but cut it off for friggin 'Oliver's Twist' with that stupid chef Jamie Oliver after two weeks. And who can't love Kenny Banyon! It's Gold Jerry, GOLD!
