Tag matches galore! Whats up wit that? I know the card will more than likely be changed around a bit, especially since Booker is injured.. But most importantly......NO JERICHO!!!!?? Bah, I'd say I'll be going anyways, but still...
Guest The Old Me Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 No Jericho certainly sucks. And Nash in the ME? Good luck.
BifEverchad Posted August 21, 2003 Author Report Posted August 21, 2003 The NO JERICHO thing really pisses me off. Last Summer, the WWE had a SmackDown! house show in my area and Jericho was apart of their roster then and never appeared, so I was really looking forward to seeing him this time. Perhaps the card will be shuffled around and he'll have the Hi-Lite Reel?! Anyways, besides Jericho, here's a list of RAW peeps not scheduled to appear, as of now.. Chris Nowinski (would have liked to see him) Goldberg (no shit) Ivory (who cares) Jacqueline (see, Ivory) Kane (why not? he's one of their top guys, and he works house shows) Rosey (don't care) Scott Steiner (why not? I would have loved to see him botch spots in person) Shawn Michaels (see, Goldberg) The Hurricane (D'OH!) Tommy Dreamer (would have enjoyed him) Val Venis (no much difference if he did, or didnt appear)
Fökai Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Jericho does interview segments on the house show circuit. The card certainly doesn't imply that he WILL or WON'T be there.
Guest Askewniverse Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 TAG EXCITEMENT Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade vs. Rodney Mack & Mark Henry How is that supposed to be exciting?
Fökai Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Chris Nowinski (would have liked to see him) He's injured right now. Kane (why not? he's one of their top guys, and he works house shows) Scheduled day off? Same may apply to Hurricane, Rosey, Val and Dreamer, if you care.

I know Nowinksi is injured, I was just saying I would have liked to see him. And since when do you know all the WWE roster's days off?
Steviekick Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 That card is horrible. I wouldn't pay more than $15 to see it. Yikes. And they wonder why no one goes to House Shows
Downhome Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Don't worry, as I'd be willing to bet that at least the main event changes. I'd say Jericho takes HHH's place in the match.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Don't bother going to any house show. You're just supporting an organization that holds down Jericho.
Youth N Asia Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Wow...not one match I'd like to see.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 I was going to say something to make you feel better and then I noticed it was the RAW brand so nothing can save you... About Jericho, he does house shows with his (ghetto version of the) Highlight Reel and most likely his guest will be someone who doesn't have a match either. The one I went to, his guest for the night was the Hurricane. It was an entertaining segment. Jericho cut his usual heel promo (city crowd bashing), introduced Hurricane, they traded insults to each other and then got into a little brawl that culminated in Jericho kicking Shane in the Hurri-balls before making a hasty retreat. I guess he's taking a long break from actually being in matches for house shows. I'd say the match on the card that would most likely turn out to be the best one would be: Goldust & Lance Storm vs. Rico w/Miss Jackie & Steven Richards w/ Victoria = loads of potential Stone Cold could always appear. I hear him and Bischoff are appearing at house shows now. *Wishes Eric would have been at the house show he went to...
Lil' Bitch Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 No shame in having Ivory there, she's a great worker.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 TAG EXCITEMENT Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade vs. Rodney Mack & Mark Henry How is that supposed to be exciting? Is that sarcasm I smell? That match will be **** atleast, nothing less. Mark Henry has put on countless technical masterpieces over the years. Rodney Mack always puts on amazing performances. And the white boy team can throw dropkicks.
AndrewTS Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 I wonder what Henry looks like. Did he lose weight again only for Vince to make him gain it back for his run as "The World's Strongest Black Supremecist?" At least Long finally got a wrestler to manage who actually looks black.
MARTYEWR Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 If Jericho doesn't show, it wouldn't be the first time he's done that for a house show. During July of last year, the Smackdown brand came here to Ottawa, and Jericho didn't make the trip. Maybe that was a scheduled day off, who knows?
Guest ravman77 Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 MAIN EVENT EVolution (Triple H & Randy Orton) vs. Kevin Nash & Rob Van Dam Anyone want to guess who is doing the J-O-B in this one?....
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 WOW, that is a very shit show. I can't believe that they charge $55 for house show tix.
Nevermortal Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 TAG EXCITEMENT Goldust & Lance Storm vs. Rico w/Miss Jackie & Steven Richards w/ Victoria TAG EXCITEMENT Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade vs. Rodney Mack & Mark Henry False advertising.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Good luck Bif, you'll need it. In May I went to a house show with a better card on paper....best match ended up being being the Dudley's/3MW.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 I wouldn't mind seeing the Goldust/Storm match. Rico's in it too....so that should be a fun match.
BifEverchad Posted August 22, 2003 Author Report Posted August 22, 2003 Well, tickets are on sale tomorrow morning. So no matter how shitty it looks, I'm still going. WWE doesnt come here very often, so I might as well jump at the chance.
Guest Retro Rob Posted August 22, 2003 Report Posted August 22, 2003 I thought Booker T is going to be out for a while. I'm still waiting for them to announce the card for the SD house show I'm going to a week from Sunday. So far we have Brock-Taker-Show with Vince as a ref in a Contenders match. Plus some Diva bikini crap.
Fökai Posted August 22, 2003 Report Posted August 22, 2003 I thought Booker T is going to be out for a while. He's officially out for six weeks, retroactive to his injury (August 10th). He's targeting the September 22nd RAW (the night after Unforgiven) as his official return. Of course, he could factor into the pay-per-view itself.
