Games to Buy

Recommended Posts

Over the next couple months tends to be when most of the big games come out due to the holidays so I thought we could put together our lists of what there is to buy this year so maybe we could get some ideas on what to buy from the other people around here. Here's my list, some of them may end up being put off until later but I will end up buying these games at some point, most of them right when they come out.

August 26--Otogi: Myth of Demons(Xbox), Soul Calibur II(Xbox)

August 28--Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds(Xbox)

September 2--ESPN NFL Football(Xbox)

September 9--The Simpsons: Hit & Run(Xbox)

September 10--ESPN NHL Hockey(Xbox)

September 16--WWE Raw 2(Xbox)

October 1--NBA Jam 2004(Xbox)

October 8--Backyard Wrestling(Xbox)

October 15--Dead or Alive Online(Xbox), Outlaw Golf 2(Xbox)

October 21--Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(Xbox), RPG Maker 2(PS2)

October 22--ESPN NBA Basketball(Xbox)

October 27--Medal of Honor Rising Sun(Xbox)

October 28--Tony Hawk's Underground(PS2), WWE Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain(PS2)

November 4--Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends(PS2), True Crime: Streets of L.A.(PS2), Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes(GC)

November 11--Mafia(PS2)

November 16--Ninja Gaiden(Xbox)

November 21--He-Man:Defender of Grayskull(Xbox)

That's all I came up with, I'm sure I missed some games, I didn't really even look at the Cube lineup they probably have something coming out over there that I'll buy. December looks pretty empty this year, but January of next year looks like it will have some good releases.

Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 for the PS2, which hits in November I think. Just saw a pic of it in the latest GI, and it looks pretty good.. I want to check out the Black Isle webite, but I can't from work...

::sighs:: one more hour...

There are about twenty games just for the PS2 alone that I want to buy that come out between now and the end of the year.

The PS2 is about to heat up once again.

You forgot Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain!

Can't wait to get that myself. Loved the first three games.

.hack is such a rip off, really.....

of what? just curious on what you think it's a rip off of.

I think he's referring to the fact that you have to pay 4 times (at full price, not even like a $20 or even $35 price point) for games that combine to be the length of a decent RPG. I still like it (just played the 1st so far, have to borrow 2 and beat it) but it does suck somewhat having to pay that much per installment.

Soul Calibur II (GC)

Half Life 2 (PC)

Harvest Moon: It's a Wonderful Life (GC)

FFXI (PS2)

MGS: Twin Snakes (GC)

Worms 3D (Probably PC)

Maybe Mario Kart and or F-zero....

True Crime sounds really good thus far, have to see how it pans out before I make a decision on that one.

Ah, my main gripe with the game. However, it has been building well (haven't played game two as I'm still working on game one because I'm lazy and went back to Dragon Warrior 7 now that I can and Asheron's Call 2)

That said, the main game I want isn't coming out just yet. :( Bah. I've been waiting eons (ok, years) for this game.

Oh well, I'll settle myself with Disgaea: Hour Of Darkness, Smackdown: HTCP, and something else to pass the time.

Me and you have the same taste in games.

Because I pretty much want every game on your list.
