Eric Bischoff

Recommended Posts

I'm a Bishchoff fan (at least of his character) but I am really wondering what the point of having him on the payroll if he is only there to be humiliated by EVERYONE (ie. JR, Austin, Evolution, Lawler, every McMahon). If it is only for Vince to humiliate him, then that is pointless, since Vince accomplished that by buying WCW.

The point is I feel EB has been greatly disused, he's supposed to be a ruthless heel GM, instead he is played as a little bitch to anyone that talks back to him. Either use him right or get rid of him, same as every other person not used properly on the roster.

Hmm, that would just leave Jericho. Oh well, him, Storm and Hurricane can just go over to Smackdown and Raw can go the way of Nitro and fade into oblivion.

imagine if Linda does Commit Vince...and we get to see vingettes of Vince trying to cope with Mental Rehab...kinda like when Flair was committed...and he ran into Scott Hall in one of those hospital gowns lol

Vince could be there muttering and drooling how he's Vince McMahon..and the guy next to him says..Yea im Vern Gagna! and the other guy next to him says No no Im Jim Crockett and so on and so on...

As for Bischoff, I think he is playing his role great...for what they are giving him to do. he is a better on air talent than he was a promoter.... geez Vince has Bischoff, Heyman, and Cornette under his thumb....kinda unsettling.

The problem with Bischoff is simply that there are too many non wrestling people hanging around and doing similar things. RAW basically has four people that can make matches whenever they want and it totally dillutes the impact of having a General Manager. Besides, why should I get upset about Bischoff when Austin is sure to be just around the corner to change things anyway?

Plus, there is no good way to use the guy anyway. Did anything suck more than when Bischoff was the man in power for WCW and turned over title matches just about every week? Personally I would rather have it the way it is now rather than then... of course, no one is floating my favorite action of getting all of the hangers on out of the fucking way so the workers can be in the spotlight again.

He's not doing anything special. Vince could just as easily play the same role, as could Shane, Regal, or many others. Sure, it was a shock pop, but he's got nothing to offer.

Since Bischoff took over-

July 22nd- Bischoff loses Brock Lesnar.

August 26th- Bischoff loses a World champion Brock Lesnar. Again.

Sept 18th- Bischoff gets kicked in the balls by Stephanie,

Unforgiven- Bischoff's plan to have Stephanie perform HLA fails in spectacular fashion and he gets stinkfaced

::Throughout this time Bischoff is constantly bossed around by HHH.

December- Bischoff makes Shawn Michaels special guest ref under the promises he is unbiased. He is not. Bischoff does nothing

January- Bischoff is given 30 days to change his ways.

22 days later- After not being able to bring back the guy who he fired- Bischoff is fired.

That same night- Bischoff is rehired under the pretense he kisses Vince's ass. He refuses so he's forced to face the man who fired him and is a 5 time WWF champion.

No Way Out- Bischoff gets the shit beat out of him.

2 weeks later- Bischoff is conned into a rematch with Austin.

2 months later- Bischoff is forced to work with the man who he fired twice, beat him in a match twice- Stone Cold Steve Austin.

May 5th- Austin rehires Jim Ross, brings back the title that Bischoff killed.

Judgement Day- Austin forces Bischoff to drink until he pukes

Next night- Austin has Mae Young harass Bischoff.

Bad Blood- Bischoff gets ballshotted by Mae Young and given a broncobuster. Later on he is stunnered and thrown into a pigpen.

A couple months later- Bischoff is conned into a match with Kane. After he wins he is forced into a match with Shane.

Summerslam- Bischoff apparently thinks that Coach is better back up then the I-C champion. He is stunnered.

That same night- Linda slaps him.

Wow- What a GREAT GM.

But the fact remains that Bischoff thought the Coach was better backup then the I-C champ.

He looks like an idiot

It's not about 'better' back-up.

In kayfabe of course...First of all, it came out of nowhere. Shane didn't see it coming despite seeing Coachman at ringside.

Secondly, the match was 'No DQ's at the time Shane got chair shotted. If Christian was out at ringside, the plan wouldn't have worked as the referee most probably would have sent Christian back to the dressing rooms. Coach was out there doing his job. He had as much right to be out there as Tazz(damn...Tazz should have turned heel and joined Bischoff) or even Chimel.

Thirdly, Bischoff was smart. By using Coach, he could get one over on JR and King. Coachman wanted to get back at JR and King, as did Bischoff, so they both had a common enemy. And by getting to JR, Bischoff also got at Austin, but indirectly. Christian is not feuding with anyone Bischoff has an immediate problem with, so has no reason to be out there.

And of course fourthly, Bischoff had already set the trap...adding Christian to the trap would take talking over with Coachman, who was out at ringside so wouldn't have known about the plan without Bischoff letting the cat out of the back.

See...Christian would have been the better, more effective choice. But Coachman was the better choice because Shane didn't expect, the referee didn't expect it...and it will have angered King and JR(or should have angered them...)

I thought they used coach because they somehow managed to leave every other black person on payroll off the show.

It's sad that when Booker goes down they don't have anyone to replace him as the token black athlete.

I mean...sure they have the best young wrestler in the company and co-tag team champion Shelton Benjamin...but apparently he's not SummerSlam material like A-Train, Shane, Bisch, La Resistence...

Christian could've run out and chaired Shane and then Bischoff changes the match.

The fact remains- Eric Bischoff considered a man who had never wrestled a match better backup then 3 time I-C champ, 10 time tag team champion and a former Euro/Hardcore and Lightweight champion

Give it up, guys… the WW_ bookers gave up on logic long ago. Looking for a solid storyline that makes sense is a futility on par with wishing for Benoit to win the World Championship.

And regarding Bischoff, just get rid of him. He's useless. In fact, the whole "evil commissioner" role has been rendered moot by the presence of ubermencsh Stone Cold, who will never be foiled by anyone who isn't named McMahon.

Oh RAW, how do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways…

You know of all the reasons that Shelton should have been on Summerslam... this has to be the stupidest.

There you go, Austin makes the role of any heel gm moot and pointless, so yeah just get rid of Bischoff. Hopefully JR and Lawler too.

I thought Bischoff had a good asshole vibe going, but with Austin and the McMahons around he gets away with nothing anymore. They don't even wait until the end of a show to have Austin undo what he does.

I really wish they would gradually turn Austin into a heel GM.

I mean, he's half way there now. He's BUTT-buddies with JR, when before he'd stunner him and leave. He's an authority figure, instead of being the ultimate anti-authority figure. They wanted to have a sell out heel Austin at WM17? Well, here he is.

But they are still selling him like the great face hero.

Ok...I realise my post has been no sold, but look up and I've just shown that this can be explained with logic.

What logic is there in Christian running out there when Bischoff has already said he's made a plan. And if he wanted someone to help him...why would have asked the 10 time tag champ, the IC yadda yadda yadda...he could have just asked Kane.

'The fact remains' in kayfabe, Bischoff had good reason to choose Coach. It's not just about who has more title reigns or who can swing a chair better.

if there was a shred of logic in the whole thing maybe its this.

reason why Coach was considered backup, is because he is unexpected...just lumbering round ringside not doing anything but watching and getting hit by flying bodies as they usually stumble into the corner where people like Lillian is and the time keeper.

if Christian wandered down, that would have been expected. but a Nonwrestler who never even shown any inkling of Heel tendacies nails some guy with a Chairshot for no apparent reason..thats like a fan just jumping out into ringside and in storyline beat the shit out of Shane for Eric...its not expected....

another logical shred might be because Eric takes Shane lightly, because SHANE IS NOT A DAMN WRESTLER...and thinking someone nailing Shane with a couple of Chairshots would put him down for the count, hence the immidiate pin attempt.

But, Shane... McMahoned...Up and fought back enough for SCSA to make his save.

The fact that Bischoff's plan was JONATHAN COACHMAN makes him look like an idiot.

Kane had a match- Christian didn't.

No he didn't. Would you rather have a wrestler or someone with 0 experience help you?

I agree with Barron - though if Shane would of seen that conversation with Christian on a monitor and then asked a face wrestler (who was not being used on the card i.e. Steiner or someone) to look out for people running ringside to help, then Coach would of been a logical choice.

I don't find Bischoff entertaining at all.

A firing would be just fine with me.

Less Bischoff, more Goldberg, I say.

Easy solution to both problems:

Meet the new Raw announce team, Steve Austin and Eric Bischoff.

The GM roles are getting stupid, but both guys can still be entertaining and are good talkers. And we all know the story with JR and Lawler...

I know what some of you might be thinking: Is there any logical storyline reason why the GM positions would be disbanded and they would replace the longtime commentators? No, not really...

But that's never stopped them before.

I find Goldberg to be non-horrible for some reason. ;)

I don't mind him if used properly.
