Enigma Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 According to the official WWE Smackdown preview from the website, they are calling Brock Lesnar the "Manster". Is he supposed to be Mantaur's cousin or something? What other stupid wrestling nicknames can you think of that people with somewhat regular wrestling names had?
Guest Choken One Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 I'm begging for this to be a typo
Enigma Posted August 27, 2003 Author Report Posted August 27, 2003 They put it as "Manster" a couple times
CanadianChick Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 "Manster"? That ranks up there with "Booger Red".
Guest Super Pissed Smark Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Manster? I told you that whole Kurt-Brock thing was supposed to be a gay storyline!
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Big Nasty has got to rank up there with the worst.
Anakin Flair Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Well, at least it's better than Kane's "Munster" Isn't it?
Guest Coffey Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 I thought that he was "The Real" Brock Lesnar now? So now he's going to be the "Manster," "The Real" Brock Lesnar...
Mecha Mummy Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 ... "Manster?" "Manster"!?!?!?!??!? What the FUCK? Jesus CHRIST, they ARE trying to kill Brock's heat.
Youth N Asia Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Don't know if that's worse then hearing "The Real" Brock Lesnar every time they say his name. That's up there with "Undisputed champion"
Guest JRE Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Tazz and Cole have occasionally called him a manster since...like....June. Doesn't anyone pay attention? It's just a casual nickname that hasn't been used much. 'The Real" is the real "new nickname"
Guest sean pyro Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 "The creature from planet Goldberg" "The Wiggler"
The Czech Republic Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 "Manster, eh?" Apparently somebody was lurking here last year when we had the immortal Photoshop Brock Thread. I made Brocktaur, who was almost as good as The American Dream Brock Lesnar with Sweet Heyphire.
Guest The Rising Star Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 I'm still waiting for Billy Gunn's son to come to WWE as "Son of a Gunn"!
Guest Trivia247 Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 they gotta stop giving JR the freedom to make up nicknames for wrestlers.
The Czech Republic Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 I'm still waiting for Billy Gunn's son to come to WWE as "Son of a Gunn"! Who shall reform DX with li'l Hunter, "Son of a Bitch."
Guest Trivia247 Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 I'm still waiting for Billy Gunn's son to come to WWE as "Son of a Gunn"! Who shall reform DX with li'l Hunter, "Son of a Bitch." heh that would actually apply to if the son of Road dogg teamed with Gunn...
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Michael Cole and Tazz have called Brock a 'Manster' for a good few weeks now. I never figured why they called Ken Shamrock 'The World Most Dangerous Man' - I mean, when he lost, the nickname just seemed to take the pi$$ more than anything else.
Guest Ray Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Nice to see WWE continuing their quest to ruin Brock Lesnar.
AndrewTS Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Half Man half Hampster? That's what it sounded like to me.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Lets just think of it this way...if HHH/Steph don't have kids, its only another 30 years of them on TV.
The Amazing Rando Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Booger Red --god I hate that...same with "Big Evil" too and does "Nugget" count for this discussion?
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Well I'm glad someone else questioned the coolness of 'MANSTER'. It sounds really stupid. 'Teflon Test'. Yup. Remember 'Doubting Test' from the spring of 2002 where Test would challenge Mark Henry to different tests of strength? Both were Michael Cole connotations, and fucking awful. And finally, 'Jamie's Got a Gunn'. Just horrible. And ambiguous.
Just John Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Manster is a horrible nickname. However, it's not as bad as "The Creature from the Planet Goldberg," "Booger Red," "Big Nasty," "Freakzilla," or "Bubba Tough." (I think this is what JR called Bubba Dudley for a bit, then stopped when he realized it sucked)
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Half Man half Hampster? That'd freak me the fuck out
