WEDNESDAY BLOODY WEDNESDAY

In the old days, when things got out of control in the NWA, feuds were settled in a Wargames match. In fact, some of the most legendary moments in NWA history took place in matches using the Wargames format. "The Match Beyond" was what they used to call the Wargames match once all contestants were in the steel cage. TNA has taken the Wargames concept and gone beyond anything ever held inside a steel cage. This Wednesday, ten men will step inside the tallest steel cage in wrestling to try to settle things once and for all. The Wednesday Bloody Wednesday cage match will include elements of Wargames, but with a twist. The match will also take place under "House of Clockwork Orange Rules". Weapons will be hung inside the steel cage and the ten participants are free to use the weapons to batter their opponents senseless. The teams are made up of Jeff Jarrett, Chris Harris, James Storm, D-LO Brown, and Raven on one side, and AJ Styles, Simon Diamond, Johnny Swinger, Christopher Daniels, and Shane Douglas on the other. One man who was involved in the creation of the original Wargames concept -- "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes -- will be ringside to make sure Vince Russo doesn't get involved.

SUPER X TOURNAMENT

TNA's X Division features some of the most athletic and acrobatic performers in the wrestling business today...but how does TNA's X Division talent stack up against performers from around the world? That's what we'll find out in the Super X Tournament. Some of the top X style competitors from around the world have been invited to compete in this special one night tournament. First round matchups in the tournament are as follows:

Nosawa vs Juventud Guerrera

Jonny Storm vs Teddy Hart

Chris Sabin vs Jerry Lynn

Michael Shane vs Frankie Kazarian

MAD MIKEY VS LAZZ

Mikey has been mad for several weeks now, and this week he's furious that he is having to compete against what he calls a ridiculous freak. Lazz is...well, let's just say Lazz is unusual. If you've ever seen Lazz on the independent circuit, you know what we mean. If you haven't, you may not be ready for what you see.

All this and much more, this Wednesday night...only on pay-per-view. Find out what Total Nonstop Action is all about!

---------------------------------------------

Looks like a good show...I've steered away from the spoilers best I could, though I know one or two results in the first round (thanks a lot Meltzer!)

Mikey vs Lazz is filler, anybody know about Lazz?

War Games should be good...got some talent in the match, and should be bloody. Since it's Wednesday Bloody Wednesday.

If its the Lazz from NWA Wildside, yeah he's unusual for sure. He has face face that is sting-esque as I remember him but wore like..women's tank top and tight gross pants. He came out to Britney Spears music.

Imagine like a cross dressing goldust type of character.

Does he suck in the ring or is he any good?

Does anyone know if the cage has a roof?

If not, its just a regular cage match with 10 men in it.

Lazz isn't very good. But Wildside probably didn't want to send up one of their good wrestlers to sacrifice to a comedy gimmick like Mad Mikey.

And in the Wildside WarGames (which is basically the same as this one- everybody in one cage) there was no roof. It was your basic steel mesh cage.

I wish I had one of those memory things from Men in Black. I read the spoilers and I forgot who won until my friend reminded me. Unlike some people (nudge nudge), I dont care about the outcome of it, if the match is good, its good. No skin off my nose (thats the right saying right?)

I can't wait for tonight's show! It should be great! Three great shows in a row, and this should be the fourth. The Super X Tournament should be great, and so should the Wargames match. Mad Mikey in a match should be good enough for that other one. 9 matches in 2 hours, can they do it? WWE can't even do 6. After this night, TNA will take a one week break, and will be back again. The question is, when they come back, will they still have superb shows?

Why are they having a break?

...why the hell did Juvi just beat Ted Hart? Seriously, that was horrible.

Kicks out of a twisting 450, and then his finisher - he totally no sold the SSP as well.. he was up like, one second afterwards.

Well, I bet Kazarian wins.

BrokenWings' post just reminded me that there isn't an official TNA thread yet, and the show's half over.

I guess this thread could be used instead of starting another one.
