BoboBrazil Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 -HHH is scheduled to drop the title to Goldberg at this month's ppv and then after his honeymoon, come back and regain the title in November at Survivor Series. They are also planning to do the HHH babyface turn around this time. The plans are to have face HHH w/ Flair feud with a heel Orton who will lead his own group of young guys. This is Orton's main event push.Maven is a leading candidate to be one of the members. -Angle is battling alot of injuries, but won't take time off, because he thinks he has already took enough time of this year. He tore his hamstring in Japan and has been trying to train the rest of his hamstring harder so the other two muscles can take the place of hte lost muscle. He also has a dislocated shoulder. -Rikishi's contract expired and that is why you haven't seen him back recently. Supposedly he has agreed verbally to one and should be back soon. -There is talk of doing Raw vs Smackdown matches at Wrestlemania such as Kane vs Undertaker and Goldberg vs Lesnar. This would be Goldberg's last major match under his current contract. -There was talk of James Mitchell coming in to manage Mortis.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 The RAW vs Smackdown matches at Mania would be a good idea in theory, but there would be no way to build up to them (Ie no face to face confrontations or anything of the sort..) Who is James Mitchell..Its not Vandenberg is it? Cause I don't think they'd go to that much trouble for a doomed gimmick.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Here here to Father James Mitchel getting a contract. Hell, if Kane continues to bomb, theres someone who he can do some interesting things with. Better than reinacting that SNL skit with Shane where Chris Farley loses the Japanese game show and gets his nuts electrocuted anyways.
BoboBrazil Posted September 3, 2003 Author Report Posted September 3, 2003 It said that James Mitchell most likely wouldn't accept the offer, because they wouldn't offer enough money for the role he would have, which is about $500 a week. He would make more money on the indies and in TNA.
LaParkaYourCar Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Yes I'm pretty sure James Mitchell = Vandeberg
Guest Coffey Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 -Rikishi's contract expired and that is why you haven't seen him back recently. Supposedly he has agreed verbally to one and should be back soon. Why? Let him go. Goodness.
Adam Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I'd be happy to see Father James Mitchell manage Kane, it would suit him. Hell, maybe Kane could make his own ministry of sorts.
Guest JMA Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Why? Let him go. Goodness. They probably don't want to piss off The Rock by letting him go.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 James Mitchell is the best manager in the world. He's an amazing talker and can get anyone over. It's a shame they'll pair him with Kanyon...since you know that push will go nowhere but Velocity
Youth N Asia Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 unless he's managing Mikey Whipwreck I could give a crap about Mitchell
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Newsflash: Mikey Whipwreck sucks.
Lil' Bitch Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Who is James Mitchell..Its not Vandenberg is it? It is. That would be awesome if Vandenberg came back to manage Mortis. HHH is scheduled to drop the title to Goldberg at this month's ppv and then after his honeymoon, come back and regain the title in November at Survivor Series Holy shit! Who didn't see that one coming? There is talk of doing Raw vs Smackdown matches at Wrestlemania such as Kane vs Undertaker and Goldberg vs Lesnar. This would be Goldberg's last major match under his current contract. I figured that's what they were initially going to do at SURVIVOR Series, but anyway I always liked the concept. I wouldn't mind seeing World Heavyweight Champion (as long as its not HHH) Vs. WWE Champion.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Now there is a dilemmia - what does WWE do if HHH drops the belt and Goldberg improves ratings (can't improve buyrates in that time) - do they still place it back on HHH?

Yes. If it was about ratings they would have stripped him of the belt a long time ago, because they went down even further with him as champ and buyrates for ppvs have steadily decreased.

RAW shows focused primarily on him have rated higher than anything in 12 months. UYI
Ultra Violence Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I am actually hoping Goldberg draws

You mean not only will we get HHH as champ again when he's healthy, and only as a FACE so he can finally squash all the heels on the roster, but an ORTBRAN MAIN EVENT PUSH!! Ooooooh! SIGN ME UP!! I'm going to have to stay tuned into Raw all the time from now on! This is going to be fantastic! Seriously, if it keeps him off SD though, that's great news.

I refuse to believe Vince would keep the title belt on a guy for 11 months of a year, have him lose it, and then have him regain it 2 months later for a long face-title run. He wouldn't do that to his fans, because it would just make his show staler than ever and have ratings continue to plummet. He couldn't possibly think this is a good idea. Then, to have him feud with Randy Orton of all people. Vince wouldn't do this. I mean, he's a smart man. He couldn't....he wouldn't.....ah shit. Here we go again.
ANKLELOCK Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 HHH thinks he gets heat from his character, when it is really because he won't lose the belt. He is going to get no face heat as a face and I can't wait to see how long this face run lasts.
Guest Coffey Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Why? Let him go. Goodness. They probably don't want to piss off The Rock by letting him go. Who cares, the Rock is never there. Sure, he's entertaining as all hell when he's there...and I would say he's an above average performer in the ring. However, when he comes back, he'll just leave again to make another movie. Also, I wouldn't say that Mikey Whipwreck sucks. He's one of my favorite wrestlers actually.
The Tino Standard Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I suppose they weren't paying attention to the last HHH face run which was LAST YEAR. I mean, man, that went over HUGE! The fans ate it up with a spoon! People just LOVE to cheer HHH! [/sarcasm]
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Raw vs Smackdown Survivor series matches... now that would make the PPVs like 4 classic elimination matches with the final being the Main eventers main event.
