notJames 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2003 I just noticed on Amazon.com that a Christopher Guest collection will be available later this month. Does anyone know if this is an actual box set, or are they just selling the three as a promotion? If this is the case, does anyone know if there are plans to release the three as a true set? Aside: my wife and I were watching Best in Show over two years ago, and right around the middle of the movie, her water broke. Roughly 14 hours later, our son was born. So this movie has much more appeal to me than it normally would. So I'm a big softy... sue me.

EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2003 The most underrated writer in the last 10 years. Guest is a FUCKING GENIUS. Best in Show is probably the greatest movie nobody has ever seen.
the max 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2003 I liked all of these movies, and will have to get them, as I need Waiting for Guffman.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2003 I have Guffman & Show already. I haven't seen A Mighty Wind though. Lets not forget Spinal Tap which Guest had some writing duties in as well. I also remember his performance in the Princess Bride as the 6 fingered man.
the max 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2003 He co-wrote Tap with McKeon, Shearer and Reiner, which I'm surprised didn't make this a 4-DVD set.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted September 5, 2003 Well, Tap is MGM property and the other 3 are Warners.
MDH257 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2003 I'm 99.999% certain that it's just A Mighty Wind packaged with the previous Guffman and Best in Show releases. A Mighty Wind is going to have the same bonuses as the other two, deleted scenes and a commentary by Guest and Eugene Levy.
