I know tons of people have seen this, and I'm contemplating getting it or the special edition of Total Recall, but is KKFOS worth getting on DVD?

Killer Klowns has a pretty good DVD, but it's so cheap you should be able to get it and Total Recall: SE.

I have the DVD -- great stuff. Commentary's funny -- especially when they point out their mistakes -- and the deleted scenes are amusing, too.

Don't compare KKFOS and Troll 2. Troll 2 was made to be serious and came off as cheesy & lame. KKFOS was a satire on the UFO paranoia of the 50's.

I hardly think Killer Klowns was meant to be taken seriously as a horror film, though it might spook some people who are afraid of evil clowns.

 

I don't have the DVD of it, but I do have an old factory tape. Really cool movie, great design as well for a low budget production.

I didn't see KKFOS for years until my better half got me the DVD for Christmas last year. She also got me the Dirty Harry DVD collecton (Or was it my birthday? Whatever.) Anyway, I had finished watching KKFORS one night and then put in "Dirty Harry," and there was Mooney as the mayor of San Francisco! One of the few times in my life I genuinely marked out...

Man, I saw that movie when I was NINE YEARS OLD. Imagine what a movie about homicidal clowns did to me at age nine. My family was on vacation, and since we were hella poor we stayed at what was probably THE crappiest beach hotel on the east coast. The TV's channel buttons were broken, and there was no remote. It was stuck on one channel! At one point my parents left to get food, and I was left with my sisters, brother, and grandmother. Everyone was taking a nap but me, and guess what came on TV? Oh man, when the clown punched the bikers head off I started to freak out like Al Sharpton when he's out of hair spray. I almost turned it off when the fat clown was beckoning to that little kid, but I just couldn't stop watching. The only other movie that ever scared me so badly is Carrie.
