NYU 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 Damnit, if the Sox can't do it...the Cubs is the next best thing. I feel so fucking happy for those guys, and all their long time fans as well.  It's such a great feeling that a team FINALLY gets back to the Series.  I love baseball. I don't feel emotion like this for any other sports as much. I agree. Which is why I don't understand the Yankee fan mentality. They got to the World Series in 96, 98, 99, 00, 01. Won it 4 out of those 5 times. What makes getting into the Series this time any more exciting or amazing? You know how it is to win. You won 3 years in a row. Why the urgent need to get into the Series now and make sure that no other AL baseball fan gets to be excited as you got to be. At a point, you have to wonder if this NY Yankee ~FAN EXCITEMENT~ is just a little bit generated and not as genuine as they would like it to appear.  But that's just my little, off-topic rant. Anyway, I'm happy for Cubs fans and hope the Cubs kick some Yankee ass in the playoffs (assuming they win right now) It's time to break at least one curse.  GO CUBS!!!
