Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Oh Pudge is *SO* getting a FAT contract next year...
Downhome Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Hell yes, this is baseball damit, THIS is what it's all about. Â I love Ivan Rodriguez, I've followed his entire career and I'm very happy to see him having a great post season.
Mik Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 And he wants to stay with the Marlins. Â *prays that a miracle can indeed happen*
sfaJack Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 You better count again. It would only be 2 days' rest. Game 1 of the WS is Saturday. And if you bump him to game 2, which is fine I guess, who do you start in game 1? Willis? He's been a gascan in the postseason. Actually, it may be three days; it's supposed to rain all day in both Boston and New York on Saturday, so they might not get started until Sunday. I don't think I'd depend on the weather bailing me out, of all things.
Downhome Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 There go those pesky Marlins, taking the lead.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Dusty Baker sucks! Â Kerry Wood has obviously blown up and should be out of the game by now..
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Once again Baker fucks his team up
tpww7 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I think I've seen this before. The other team comes back and wins 9-6.
A Happy Medium Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Baker should've one upped McKeon and warmed up Clement. He could've maybe came in and shut it down. Â But, Kerry got beaten down.
Cartman Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 You know... Â There would still be quite a backstory to a Marlins/Red Sox World Series. As many of you may remember the annihilation of Florida by Boston earlier this year and the Mini-Rivalry it spawned for running up the score an all.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Wood'll be gone after this inning, but it could've gotten much uglier. It's never been more apparent that walks come back to bite you in the ass. This one's not over, by a long shot.

Tony149 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 The Marlins are somethin'. IF they somehow manage to pull this off (and its still too early), they would of deserved it. Pudge is a machine. Â I believe Choken One said they is a game where you probably don't want the lead, man, is he right -- especially for each teams' fans.
Downhome Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Everyone, what would be your perfect ending to this ballgame if you could write it out yourself?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 did I read that right? Â Last person to shut out the Cubs was Babe. Ruth?
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 did I read that right? Last person to shut out the Cubs was Babe. Ruth? Yep 1918. I'm SURE he meant in playoffs...   Ruth was a DAMN good pitcher as well.
Mik Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Miguel Cabrera is the franchise of the Florida Marlins.
Fökai Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Damn. Nice catch.  EDIT: Cabrera makes another good catch.
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Everyone, what would be your perfect ending to this ballgame if you could write it out yourself? Tie game in the 11th, Sosa Blasts a Solo shot into Waveland...
treble Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Everyone, what would be your perfect ending to this ballgame if you could write it out yourself? Sosa or Alou walk off.
Cartman Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 It would sell better than NY/Florida would...
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 It would sell better than NY/Florida would... well, You still have the "can the sox win" sell...
