Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted March 14, 2004 I'm keeping 2. Jason Kidd and Peja Stojakovic for whatever it's worth.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2004 There should be some good players available to draft for those (if any) who don't take keepers, though maybe not a whole lot of true 1st/2nd round calibre players. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Sam Cassell, Kenyon Martin, Brad Miller and Amare Stoudamire all look to be available with more to come, and chances are between now and next year one or two people may dissapear never to return, adding to the pool. And it looks as though i'll regain the lead in the steals category today, pretty much the only stat i'm not being utterly crushed in. Hopefully i can hold onto that for one more day and crawl out of this matchup with 1 point at least. Luckily my top steal players are all playing, so that should help. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2004 (edited) Ok... Let's try this again. I'm hoping Pocono Poison and Alfdogg split their games. They do that, and I can sneak into the playoffs. Edited March 14, 2004 by Lightning Flik
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2004 Looks like i nabbed steals to salvage one point, giving me a a 6.5 game advantage over Marvin for the final playoff spot with one week left. That should see me hold on, though if my team gives me another performance like this week i won't be surprised to see myself out of the top 6.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2004 (edited) Well, I'm not in the playoffs, so I'll just make damn sure Pocono Poison doesn't make it in either. Edit: WOOO~!!! If and I mean a BIG if here, Better Than Utah beats Alfdogg Asylum totally like 7-1 or 8-0 and I somehow beat Pocono Poison by those exact same scores, I'm IN~! And assuming Gwangju White Tigers just flat out bomb. Edited March 15, 2004 by Lightning Flik
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2004 This week sucks as well because I've got 2 days where almost all my players play and then I've got a couple where 1 or 2 play. 6.5 games back means Im in the playoffs if: I win 8-0, Utah Loses 1-7 I win 7-1, Utah loses 0-8 And I don't know the tiebreaker rules so I don't know what would happen if we manage to tie which would be possible Utah ties. Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2004 I don't think I can bomb my way out of the playoffs, but knowing my team, they'll find a way. If I stay in my current spot, my first round game is vs. Pogo the Monkey, and I crushed them 8-0 last week, so my chances are looking fairly decent right here. But with my team, I know better than to get my hopes up. And I need Speedy Claxton to hurry the fuck up and heal already.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2004 Im in the playoffs if There IS a consolation playoff tourney, you know. And frankly, you are in that. Yes, you'll be beat a bunch of nothings, but at least you can say you MADE a playoff... Unlike me...
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted March 16, 2004 I somehow jumped from 6 to 4 and am playing a corpse this week, so I've got it locked up playoffs wise. Good times.

Yes, you'll be beat a bunch of nothings, but at least you can say you MADE a playoff... Unlike me... Through 1 day, things are looking good, with BTU down 8-0 (although BTU didnt have anyone playing last night, Team Failure had a 3 and they all put up big numbers). That takes a bit of the pressure off, but I've still got to manage to win my game, which is currently 6-1-1.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 Brent Barry is on fire for my team. 28 points and 7 three-pointers.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 I gotta decide how important PJ Brown is and whether or not dumping him for someone whos gonna play this week (while hes out with a sprained ankle) is a good move. I had a good night from my recent pickup Caron Butler (20 points) and also had a good night from Wade (23 points) and Baron Davis (23 points, 5 3's, 5 assists) Im gonna be schooled in Blocks since Z had 5, but I should pick up the 3 pointers cat so I should be up 7-1 or so. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted March 17, 2004 PJ is only supposed to be out a few days, ESPn was saying a max of 2 games, I'd maybe hold onto him, it's becoming slim pickings as far as decent big men go in the free agent pool goes. I doubt you'd be able to find someone who can rebound and score like PJ.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 For the record Im keeping Dirk Nowitzki and Baron Davis.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Thank GOD i'm not playing anyone active this week, I'd be getting my ass kicked, my tema has just completely taken the week off.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 My team's getting killed, again. I'm dumping all my players this offseason, and starting anew.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 My team's getting killed, again. I'm dumping all my players this offseason, and starting anew. MWHAHAHAHAH~! With only a few days to go, I MIGHT MAKE THE FUCKING PLAYOFFS~!!! Gwangju White Tigers has won 3 games, whilst I've won 7 against Pocono Poison. Now all I need is for you Al to drop down to 2 games, and voila! I make the comeback of the season. Because frankly, I was written off when I was in dead last place and even HarleyQuinn's inactive team was kicking my ass.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 I'm gonna take my rightful place in 1st for the end of the regular season thanks to Stephen Jackson who is averaging something like 30 points per game in the past 2 weeks!

Do that and you get last pick in next year's draft. Still though, good luck. You'll need it.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Well since I'm keeping 2 of my players I could care less which pick I have. Not a whole lotta difference between last pick, and second to last pick. No luck needed here either as i'm whooping Guererros ass handily.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Heh, I need a lot of luck to make the playoffs. I've got two of three teams doing what I need them to do. Now if Better Than Utah would just PLEASE smash his series against Alfdogg Asylum so that Alfdogg's only winning 1 or 2 games, I'd be a happy happy manager. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Things are looking better for me so far this week. Up 4-3, but Kevin Garnett is yet to play a game so far, his stats should help me out immensly. And something has sure lit a fire under Q-Rich's ass, in 4 games since returning from injury he's averaging 27.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.5 threes a game, my team is so much better when Richardson is healthy and putting up strong numbers. Cartman 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Heh, I just noticed that Ben Wallace hasn't even played for me this week yet either. ...and i'm up 7-1 anyways, only trailing by 1 block.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Taking a closer look, my matchup isn't as bad as it seems. Only down by two free throws, two 3 pointers, 26 points, 13 rebounds, one steal, and two blocks. Flik doesn't have anyone playing, while I've got two today. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Nice game, Osterfag. His ENTIRE STATLINE consisted of one rebound.

However, Al, pretty much at this point, we are just playing to not be lower than the other. Because both of us need a lot of luck to end up making 12th. You need a little more then me at this point however.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 30 and 19 for KWAME BROWN~! Who the hell told him that Michael was gone, and it was all right to play basketball again?
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 30 and 19 for KWAME BROWN~! Who the hell told him that Michael was gone, and it was all right to play basketball again? Obviously, Michael Jordan. I mean, he must've told Kwame that he couldn't play or something.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Well he finally stepped up and told his point guard (and I use that term loosely) Gilbert Arenas to quit being a ball hog. Not in those words, obviously, but his stats have gone up significantly since he did that.
