Cartman 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Losing Dampier hurt me alot, but I would probably still have lost since my whole team shit the bed anyways. Congrats to Team Failure for knocking me out
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Going down to the wire with myself and the Guerreros. He currently leads 5-3 with myself having Maggette and Kirilenko left and he has Raja Bell left. FG - Guerreros by 18 FT - Whalers by 11 3PT - Whalers by 7 PTS - Guerreros by 18 REB - Guerreros by 23 ASSISTS - Guerreros by 31 BLOCKS - Guerreros by 8 STEALS - Whalers by 6 I certainly don't see Raja Bell stealing any of the three categories I have. It is going to come down to the FGs and Pts. I am cautiously optimistic right now. I have little doubt I will overtake in Points, but the FGs will be close. razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 The Wizards scare me. I was hoping that Larry Hughes would take the day off but NOOOOOOOOOO he had to shoot for 30+ points getting all of the important stats (FT, FG, 3s). I think Raja Bell will have a decent game against the Clippers, I wishing for 20+ points and 6 or more FT attempts and a few steals.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Losing Dampier hurt me alot, but I would probably still have lost since my whole team shit the bed anyways. Congrats to Team Failure for knocking me out Gracias. I know what ya mean on the losing someone thing, Miller was out all week and I thought for sure I was done but Bob friggin Sura decided to average 25 and 12 for the week. Him and Eddie Jones are the only real reasons I'm maybe gonna squeak out a win.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 I think Im gonna advance on a 4-4 tie, I might pull out the Rebounds or Steals to outright win, but as far as it is right now I know Im advancing.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 What is the tie breaker? Regular Season Win % Absolutely incorrect. From Yahoo's Rules Page....... In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock will be broken using the following system: Most team points scored. Most team rebounds. Highest team field goal percentage. Highest team free throw percentage. Fewest team turnovers. Most team 3-point shots made. Most team assists. Most team steals. Most team blocked shots. Random "coin flip." In any case, another victory this week and the Miracle Poison are now competeing for 7th place.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Anf my 5th place is official with an 8-0 whitewash of Team 2004, all up i had 21 different players on my team over the course of the matchup. Looks like i'm left to look towards next season, with Garnett and Allen still on board hopefully next year will turn out better.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 WHOOHOO! Snuck into the championship game somehow. You get to be the astrisk champion. It was a hard fought game, you won on the POINTS made tie breaker. It looks like its another BCS situation as I was kept out of the championship match for rematch against my rival in this league. Cartman you're going down! Marvin pwn3d me this week, plain and simple. I tip my hat to him (while planning to stab him in the back...), while taking my frustration out on the Therapists. Had Jamaal Tinsley not been a little bitch or had a decent immune system, could have been a different story.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted April 11, 2004 Good Lord, Bob Sura put up back to back triple doubles. Kidd hurting his knee may have been a blessing for me, Sura has been playing out of his mind.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 I'm gonna need a triple double from 3 players just to prevent a sweep from the Cartman Celtics. 4th place is so mine.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 No I do not! Your team plays more games then mine! On Tuesday you have 3 starting, my team is taking a day off. Basically my team took a 3 day vacation. So I shall finish 4th, my only hope is to not to get shutout again.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 As the commish of this league, I'd just like to say I'm happy with this League and how it has performed. You guys all fought very hard and well to the bitter end. Congrats. As well, I also wish to thank everyone who played this year. It was a hell of a season and we saw many things we never thought would happen. Like my great finish to an utterly shitty season for my team. Both Celtics and Guerreros not making the Finals. And a lot of other stuff that I can't think of right now. Congrats to everyone. However, we must prepare for our second season. This is why I'll be needing any and all teams who have participated to send me via PM the two players that they'll be keeping for the upcoming draft this coming season. If you are not keeping (which some of you may not be), please send me a PM telling me that you are not keeping. This thread will continue to be used, since we've got things to discuss. Like new roster changes, new stat keeping, etc. About all I'm sure of is this "weekly roster picks (2 Guards, 2 Forwards, 1 Centre, 3 Utilities, and 1 Bench)", "there will be at least 9 stats (either just adding TO, or vastly changing the system, I'm not sure)", and that most of you guys will be back for next season. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 What do you mean by "weekly roster picks?"
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 What do you mean by "weekly roster picks?" By weekly I mean: Choose for the full week. Hence why the move from benches to Utilities and all that stuff. But please excuse me if I got that wrong. On Wednesday, I had a shelfing grate unit (you know, those things that go on walls and hold up pegs for hanging merchandise) crash down on my head. So I might be off on a thing or two. Gomen sai, if I am. But anyways, yes, every thing is up for discussion except for keepers. For keepers send me a PM telling me whether you are keeping or not. We will be having a new member join up for next season (unless someone some others leave, then more to join). Drafting Order (as of now): 1) New Team 2) Gotham Harlequinns 3) Crimson Storm 4) Gwangju White Tigers 5) The Alfdogg Asylum 6) Pocono Poison 7) Fear The Slayers 8) Pogo The Monkey 9) The Allegied Rapists 10) The Court Jesters 11) Better Than Utah 12) Team 2004 13) Team Failure~! 14) Whalers on the Moon 15) Celtics 16) Guerreros
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 Draft order should reflect the playoffs not the regular season.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 No it shouldn't. Why should I be penalized because I had three good weeks in the consolation bracket?
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2004 Draft order should reflect the playoffs not the regular season. Draft order does not reflect the playoffs simply because the playoffs are post-season and ANYTHING can happen. Playoffs usually have the weirdest things happen. Like Al having a great three week run or like you and Celtics not making the Finals, which both of you should've. Besides, I don't have anything set in stone. I just know three things for sure: 1) I've got mostly everyone returning for next season. 2) From the looks of things, everyone's picking keepers. 3) Everything's still up for debate otherwise. razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2004 Because winning in the playoffs is the only thing that matters. In the sports you don't hear the "I'm just happy to be here" speech, its more like "I want to win the ring".
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2004 Yeah, but when you have consolation playoffs, everything gets muddled.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2004 Yeah, but when you have consolation playoffs, everything gets muddled. ^ That is my main reason for not doing it. If it was a straight up Top 12 go on, I would've done it via playoffs. With consolation, you really mess things up because a team with a better than .500 record gets like 6 in the draft, yet the worst team in the consolation gets like 10th? Uh, no. Sorry. That just ain't happening.
