Fantasy NBA League?

Recommended Posts

I turned it down, as I really have no need for more guards.

Carter and AI both dropped 31 tonight, so my fantasy team I drafted is starting to show up again.

Sighs... Oh well. I'm trying to get something for the guy. He's not really doing much for me.

Flik, who are you trying to get rid of?

I'm looking for a decent centre or at least somebody that either get me 3PTs, REBs, ASTs, or even more BLKs.

I'm trying to trade DeShawn Stevenson. But everyone has Gs.

Stackhouse is finally back in practice for the Wizards, which is the best news my fantasy team has had in a while. Rumors of the Warriors trading away Van Exel are also good news in relation to Speedy Claxton, if Van Exel leaves i can count on Claxton continuing to put up the good numbers he has lately.

I finally got some production out of the Celtics guards of Pierce & Davis. But now it seems that Jermaine O'Neal is injuried! This is not good news for me as I have both O'Neals in my public league which seems to be a bench full of injuried players. Damn you Shaq, Jermaine, Lenard, Houston, Hughes.

AH FUCK!

::Sets up permanent residence in the basement. That's what you get for trading an entire team away for Jermaine O'Neal::

I got back up Centers set up already with Boozer, Dalebert, Cardinal. I had to get rid of Houston as I am not sure if he will be out for a few days or weeks and as for Lenard well he is next to go if Jermaine O'Neal's injury is serious.

I'll win with at least 6 categories, and i'm hoping i can jump that to 7 or 8. I had a much better day than my opponent today, and tomorrow i have the monster Kevin Garnett and Samuel Dalembert up against Etan Thomas and Eric Snow, so i should gain there as well.

Follow up..

the only category Im winning is FGs!

Although Im only down 3 points in total points and its Jalen Rose vs Alvin Williams in a battle of the Raptors tomorrow, and Rose should score 4 more points than Alvin Williams...

but a 6-2 loss still sucks.

Im looking at falling to 9th place about 4 or 5 games out of the 6th spot but having to jump 3 other teams to get back in that spot.

I like being in 1st place :)

I need to stay at 7-1 though so could ya please bench Jalen for me?

Stack made his debut today, scoring 13 points.

Finally my 3rd round draft pick can start to contribute for me.

If Stackhouse can get back to his best he should make a good third player behind Garnett and Ray Allen.

EDIT: And while my team scored no 3-pointers today, i got enough free throws to finish up a 7-1 winner.

nah..

Jalen managed to score enough points to make it a 6-2 loss instead of 7-1.

Oh yeah, didn't see it mentioned anywhere but Brent Barry is out for 6 weeks.

And it looks like I'll be taking the win over The Harlequins 6-1, as I continue to lead the league in ties.

It seems everyone has too many guards, i was looking to made a trade or two to get another decent forward, but i couldn't figure anything out that wouldn't give the other guy too many guards or wouldn't be me giving up too much stat-wise just for the sake of getting a good forward.

And after this week is officially over it looks like everyone from positions 4 down to around 10th will all be pretty close, the playoff picture is going to be real messy. These next weeks i'm up against Pogo, SHIT and the Court Jesters, all teams i'm in close competition with, so these next few weeks will determine just how good my team is.

Is it the top 6 spots that make it into our proverbial playoffs?

And who wants to trade me someone who can get some fuckin blocks? To show how desperate I am for help, I have signed Dikembe Mutumbo. Help a stupid bastard out here. I got all the scoring you could ever want, I'm tellin ya.

Fuck. This is really getting ridiculous here......

Allen Iverson, drafted first, misses a month

Karl Malone, drafted second, injured

Keon Clark, drafted fifth, injured

Matt Harpring, drafted seventh, out for year

Raef LaFrentz, drafted ninth, out for year

Eddy Curry, traded for, missed a month

Brent Barry, picked off waivers, out six weeks

At this point, I'm shocked if someone stays healthy.

Top 6 get a shot at World Champion.

Bottom 6 (7-12) battle out to basically show that even though you may have had a bad season, you still were a damn fine team. Just caught on fire late.

Next year though, I think we up the roster to 3G, 2F, 1C, 1U.

Cause I'm sorry but how many of us have like about 4-5Gs on our team?

I can start 5 guards and one center  :firedevil:

PG Cassell

SG Pierce

GF Davis

F Williams

C Nesterovic

Utility Alton

I follow the Don Nelson ideal of all offense all the time, then I found out it does not work all the time. So I made some trades such getting Williams who is great at steals and rebounding, Davis who could play point forward and distribute the ball or be the ball hog on any given sunday, Boozer who is scores and rebounds at will, and a true point guard who shoots the 3 and passes the ball well.

Or Start 5 Forwards and a Center! aka team hoss

GF Davis

GF Eric Williams

F Jerome Williams

PF Shareef

FC Boozer
